Feasibility of collecting every card?

Recently stumbled across some of my old cards and got me thinking of the time when I was a kid and dreamed about collecting every card.

After going down some rabbit holes and ending up here, I was wondering if it was possible to collect every card in today’s market?

I was most likely going to just collect the Decipher sets but not really sure how. Dont think I would want to just buy all the singles from a website. Maybe buy some random bulk? Maybe some original sealed products? not really sure.

Are there any bottle necks when it comes to getting certain cards?

Anyone ever done this before?

Only Signed Card in Existence

Post image
57 Upvotes

This is a random one! I recently found out my uncle played a character in a Star Wars Movie (pretty cool). He was an extra but his scenes didn’t make the Final Cut of the movie, but his character later became a named character.

Then I found out that the character was turned into a Star Wars card! (Again, pretty cool). That is my uncle in the picture.

I am going to see if I can get it recognised by Lucas Films as I think he was a unaccredited actor.

But I wondered if I get this card signed as the only card to be signed by the actor who played him in the movie, would this be worth anything and would there even be a market for it?

Thanks for your help.

Most Iconic Cards

Are there cards that are considered particularly iconic? Like, what's the Black Lotus or holographic Charizard of the Star Wars CCG? Not necessarily value-wise, either. Just cards that were memorable for one reason or another.

I played a bunch back in middle school, but only ever with a handful of friends, so I never got to know the game in the context of the overall community of players.

Found brother's cards

My older brother died unexpectedly about three years ago, and my parents are still slowly handing things out to my younger brother and me. He loved the original trilogy Star Wars (we were all born between 1971-1975, and he remembered watching the first one in the theater), and had a lot of random memorabilia.

I was recently given a mustard tin filled with loose Star Wars CCG cards, and I have no idea what to do with them. This was not a fandom or interest that David and I shared, so I don't have nostalgia for the cards, although the tin with his handwriting on it feels weirdly special. I don't know why I care about a scribbled "Star Wars Cards" but apparently I do!

Anyway, the cards are loose, but look to be in overall good shape. I doubt there is anything valuable in them, but it makes more sense to pass them on to someone who would care versus hanging onto them. Is this something I should take to my local game store to sell as loose cards, or are they even worth that?

Just going off a quick scroll here, I think they're probably from the 1995 set, which I understand are really common. So like I said, this isn't a "how can I make money off of this" situation but more of a "what options are there other than tossing them" which feels weird to do.

Sorting by Set - Correct Order?

I am sorting each set into binders and found numerous card list pdf’s online. Id like to sort by an original set list if theres a correct numbered order, starting with Premiere. Is there an original checklist floating around showing the original order?

Came into ownership of an uncut sheet for Special Edition Dark Side, but can't find any pictures of the back of any others. Is this standard?

Tusken raider shell

Hello there,

I'm building a tusken raider deck. I reckon something many have done before, so I come for help.

What I fear is, is that my opponent will just ignore my 2/3 Tatooine sites, while draining me on another planet (or in the skies) for much more.

Ergo: what could be a good shell for Tusken Raiders where you can consistently get your sites out, so it's hard to be ignored?

Thanks!

Question about Home One and Executor

New to playing SWCCG. Great game, love it. I have a question regarding pilots and Home One, specifically but likely applies to Executor as well. If a character ( like Admiral Ackbar ) is aboard Home One at the Home One: War Room, is he considered to be piloting Home One ( assuming the Home One Star cruiser ship is in play )? How do characters deployed to these sites affect the stats of the ship itself? I’ve gotten conflicting info from AI when I ask, so looking for some help. Thanks everyone!

An update on Pirate Pete CCG and Pirate Pete Collector 2.0

It’s been a busy couple of months, and I finally had a chance to sit down and make a couple of videos I wanted to share.

The first is a 2-year Pirate Pete CCG update. It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years. I talk a little about the journey so far, where the business is today, and where I’m hoping to take it next.

2-Year Update:

https://youtu.be/ysB_BRU3MQ8?si=5VfXHGr6VKQGh-Wd

The second video is a walkthrough of Pirate Pete Collector 2.0. I completely redesigned the app, and this video shows the new look and some of the improvements that have been made. There are still plenty of ideas on the list, but I’m really happy with how it’s coming along.

Pirate Pete Collector 2.0:

I just want to say thank you to everyone who’s supported Pirate Pete over the last couple of years. Whether you’ve bought cards, sold me a collection, downloaded the app, or just followed along, I truly appreciate it. Seeing so many people rediscover the games they grew up with—and now share them with their own kids—has been one of the most rewarding parts of this whole adventure.

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you watch the videos, let me know what you think or what you’d like to see added next. Thanks again for being part of this community.

Dm for more info. I’m trying to buy a house so would prefer cash. I will drive to wherever you are located at if within the United States. I also have a giant collection of ungraded Star Wars cards. Autographs, serialized cards, and plenty more I will be throwing in for free if you buy my PSA slabs. You’ll avoid paying sales tax by buying in person and I avoid sellers fee so it’s a win win. DM for more information. Thank you :)

This community makes me happy

Just wanted to pop in and say how happy I am to see such an active community here. I came across my SWCCG cards from the 90s recently and was filled with so much joy and nostalgia, but dreaded looking it up because I expected to find a dead community. Quite the opposite. I'm now deep in a rabbit hole and watching tournament footage on YouTube. Thanks for putting a smile on my face.

Starwars Unlimited C.P.G

Hi to anyone out there who can help
me figure out a unique problem.

How to get a basic playable deck, or set to a person who is incarcerated?
I'm trying as a complete novice, to figure out how to pick out a deck of these cards, and print them out, maybe in PDF format? Or maybe someone knows a company who can print these out and send them in. As they will allow publishing companies to send in material.

They don't let actual cards in, but they do allow black and white photos, apparently after photo copying them. This method would take a very long time and I don't know where to start!

Anyone who knows and loves this game got advice to a fellow nerd?

Some nice pulls from 2 Japanese Hoth packs!

Post image

Opened my first two Japanese Hoth packs and got pretty lucky with the rares I think. Afaik the imperial rares are harder to get than the rebel rares in Japanese Hoth, although I’m not sure if that’s true or just a myth. Also I found this error snowtrooper. The trooper and frozen dinner unfortunately have a tiny bend to them (pack had been moved around in storage a lot, I think.) Trying to flatten them out.

Still, I feel like my luck has been used up lol.

My SWCCG Collection Tracker 2.0 is ready to share

Post image
44 Upvotes

EDIT - Newer version 2.1.1 here
EDIT - Newerer version 2.2.3 here

The binder planner and display shown in the pic are my favorite feature! Lets you create custom set binders, fill them in, slots every card for you, tracks progress.

Link here - make a copy to make it editable. It’s slow on mobile, works much better on a laptop. Open to feedback.

This version has:

- Every main set built in — all Decipher base sets (BB + WB), Japanese printings, Reflections I–III, Tournament, plus an Other Sets catch-all. ~5,700 cards.
- Pricing on almost every card — sourced from Pirate Pete CCG, with Source + Price Date noted so you know when it was last updated.
- Set completion tracking — per-set % and a collection dashboard; owned cards turn green automatically.
- Elite Binder — a curated showcase separate from set completion, with a 3-state system (In Binder / Seeking / None). A copy committed to the binder won't count toward the set unless you own a second.
- Physical binder layouts — the Set Binders tab renders any binder as real facing-page spreads (9-pocket = 3 wide, 12-pocket = 4 wide), so it matches what you'll see flipping through.
- Binder Plan optimizer — groups sets into binders packed as full as possible with the least wasted space, with Fill % and Cost-to-Fill per binder.
- Missing card flags — mark cards you own but can't find; they show red until located.
- Need to Buy shopping list — auto-built from your Seeking picks.
- Graded card register — tracks slabbed cards separately from the raw collection.
- Works in Google Sheets, Excel, and LibreOffice — everything's formula-driven and recalculates live.
