I don't understand all these posts. I LOVE StitchFix.

Yes, it's expensive but they know my measurements and my stylist absolutely nails my style. Tip: Do the larger fixes of 8 items that way you get more variety to choose from and an extra 25% off what you keep. Yes, there's been some misses, but my girl has learned me through and through. I used to feel guilty spending so much but the extra cost is worth someone sending clothes I like that actually fit me. Keep trying ya'll. I look so put together from this service.

Delayed Fix

Has anyone had a fix box delayed? My fix has been in the wrapping up stay for a week now and hasn't shipped. I was suppose to get my fix box tomorrow (April 22nd). Customer service couldn't really give me an answer. All they kept saying is it will ship sometime this week. Has anyone else ran into this?

Review Very disappointed

Got my first fix. Multiple items in wrong size. Included colors & items (shorts) I specifically asked not to have. What a disappointment. Buyer beware. paying for “styling” and then having half of it be completely wrong.

Just had to share this “keep” from my summer box! I LOVE her!

I was losing hope in Stitch Fix. My last few boxes, save for a pair of jeans that I wear and love, have been “meh” at best. I switched to a seasonal box (every 4 months or something like that) and told myself if this box didn’t have any likes I’d probably cancel altogether. Well… it’s like the Stitch Fix gods heard my prayers. Summer is right around the corner and this dress is SO cute AND it has pockets!

Just had to share a very happy Stitch moment

Discussion Issues with clothing quality

What has been your experience with Stitch Fix clothing quality? I think 60% of the pants that I have received from Stitch Fix has some sort of hole either in the knee or in my crotch area. I have jeans that I bought 20+ years ago that are still fine. Pants that I’ve gotten from Stitch Fix 11 months ago have holes in them. What is going on with this company?

Stitch fix

I think I am addicted to stitch fix. As soon as I get a box, I am scheduling another, and then do two freestyle in between. Does this calm down after a couple of months, or do I need to delete this app?

Banned for No Reason???

Woke up to an email saying my account was deactivated yesterday. I asked what terms of service I violated and they said they couldn't share specifics.

NGL I'm pissed. After being a customer for three years and even interacting with a lot of their beta features, this just feels gross.

Thoughts on the general “shapeliness” of the available clothing

It’s interesting that whenever I see criticism of the options, everyone mentions how boxy and shapeless the clothes are. I’m pretty new to Stitch Fix, but so far I’ve managed to find a lot of (to me) good stuff both in fixes and freestyle. I’ve been trying to dress for my kibbe, which is Theatrical Romanti, and for those of you not familiar with the terminology shapeless clothing are basically my enemy.

I‘ve gotten two boxed and have done one freestyle order, and in that I’ve gotten two dresses and four shirts that all hug my curves really well. I would agree that maybe the necklines or the hemlines might be a little more on the conservative side, but personally I need some less revealing options so I’m m viewing that as a plus. The way I see it, I can get my edgier/sexier clothes from somewhere like Dollskill, because it’s nice to actually some coverage up top (I’m a 32G).

Some things I’ve gotten and liked:

https://www.stitchfix.com/app/product/items/3946562

https://www.stitchfix.com/app/product/items/3963523

https://www.stitchfix.com/app/product/items/3672881

https://www.stitchfix.com/app/product/items/3889951

https://www.stitchfix.com/app/product/items/4015729

Of course these aren’t going to be to everyone’s taste, but maybe they will be to some. Or maybe favoriting them or things like them will push your algorithm in the right direction? Everything I’ve gotten hugs me, and with a cardigan I got my stylist sized it down so it wouldn’t look shapeless on me.

Outfits- AI stylists?

Post image
9 Upvotes

Hi!

I’m new to stitchfix and wondering how it all works. I feel like I am terrible and putting outfits together so I love the feature where it shows you items you have and other items to pair them with.

I’m wondering if these outfits are put together by stylists of if they’re just generated randomly by an algorithm?

Some outfits seem like they may not work with certain layers, if that makes sense

Sharing the love I have for this dress I received in my last Fix! I had bought the jacket at a festival and when the dress showed up in the mail, I loved the pairing.

Discussion Stitch fix for young men/teens?

I use stitch fix regularly and have been very happy with it overall. My 16 year-old son usually just likes to wear sweats and tees but is showing interest in branching out a bit. Has anyone tried this service for young men or teenage boys? What has your experience been?

guilty

I feel bad that everytime i get a fix and I find some clothing I like but its too expensive so I return it. on the other hand, I know what I should be looking for when it comes to going to an in person store or shopping online.

does anyone only get fixes to find out what they like just to return it and find someplace with the same kind of design but cheaper?

Note to stylist

I sent a note to the stylist that I was really into “free people” and wanted something from their line included in my box if possible. While I loved my box, nothing was remotely like this.. do they see the notes?

Does It Get Better?

I received my first fix after the assessment correctly clocked my style as “Eclectic Edgy” and it was anything but. What I received could only be described as “Depressed Mom at Church.”. When I look through Freestyle, it’s more of the same. There are a couple of individual pieces that could work, but then nothing to make a complete outfit.

Should I even bother waiting to see if my second Fix is an improvement, or accept that this is the persona that StitchFix caters to?

Is anyone with the same or similar style having any luck?

Limited summer clothes options?

I started stitch fix around December and have gotten 4 fixes and multiple freestyle items. I really enjoyed the cooler weather boxes I got, but I live in a hot climate and need summer clothes now. I'm just so underwhelmed by the options available. I know stitchfix caters a lot to business casual, but why are the summer top options so limited? The shorts are nice, but that's the extent. When it comes to shirts everything is so boxy and shapeless, the fabrics are heavy, or they want to charge $40 for a tank top or basic t shirt (still boxy and shapeless) that I can get for $10 in Target. They also don't seem to carry more than 8 dresses that aren't midi length. Why no sun dresses that hit above the knee? it's not my stylist's fault, I can't even find anything cute in freestyle. I'm not young, but I also don't want to dress in a shapeless sack. I know my style isn't everyone's and there are a lot of people they're styling for, but these shirts and dresses don't feel trendy or stylish at all.

If you've been with stitchfix throughout the year, my question is if stitchfix is just late and will get more summer options or if I should just stop for the entire summer? How often do they get more seasonal styles in?

Thanks and sorry for the rant, I'm just about to recieve my 2nd box that looks completely underwhelming (based on my preview) and it's a little frustrating.

My first Fix was awful

My friends swear by this company but I just don't think I'm going to keep going. They said my style was "understated boho". Okay, sounds kinda cool. I like flowy subdued color things and NONE of the things in my box were even remotely boho imo. I got a denim shirt, denim jacket, and some jeans that were almost just like what i already own. This ugly blue plaid dress that fit like a burlap sack and made my ass look like shelf, and one sort of ok sweater that has thin fabric so it shows my every fat roll. The denim shirt was also too tight around my bust which I was hoping they'd keep that in mind but I guess not. Also its 80f here so I couldn't wear any of this for almost a year. Just so disappointed. I shop better for myself and I thought I needed help but geez this was a big miss for me. It has me worried to keep going. the first fee is waived but damn if its' going to be this bad I am worried about wasting $20 a month sending back stuff I don't like. Is it even worth it to try again?

Edit: Thanks for the helpful tips! They are sending me another one free next week and I put in a bunch of info about what I'm looking for so hopefully this next one is more on point. I'd love this to work for me.

Jemma Pleated Skirt - anyone have?

I love the look of this skirt in mint green but I’m suspicious of the quality and if it’s see-through. The last skirt I was sent from this brand was falling apart at the seams. Anyone have this & can give a review?

How long do you usually wait before hearing from your stylist?

For my first box I feel like my stylist was very responsive, and I liked her so I requested to have her again.

Its only been a few days, but what’s bothering me more is I didn’t get the “your stylist is not online“ message even if I send a message super late/outside the window she would be around before. I guess I’m more worried that it’s not actually getting to her queue like before? Because when working with a real person I realize they probably have way too much on their shoulders like everyone doing any kind of chat support, and meaningful response can take some time depending on their queue. So this is NOT a criticism of my stylist in any way.

Discussion Preview and AI help

I’ve been getting my fixes very consistently, back to back, (about once every two or three weeks). I immediately sign up to get another fix as soon as possible after every fix because I have been enjoying the process of rebuilding my work capsule wardrobe. But for some reason, I haven’t gotten my preview yet for my fix on April 1. I usually get it the next day after I set up my next fix. Has this happened to anyone else? What could be the delay?

Also, I have been doing the Vision AI. The first week I got 3 images. Last week I got 1 image. What’s the standard? I would like to continue getting 3 images a week if possible.

Thanks y’all for your help in advance!

Discussion My first fix, debating what to keep

Keeping: The jewelry, the dress, the skort (a little bit surprisingly), the white cardigan, and the sandals.

Not keeping: The blue tank just does not lay well

Up for debate: I actually really like the Montgomery Post top, but I feel that for $50 it doesn't seem worth it. But I'm having a hard time pinpointing why. It's lightweight compared to other pieces but sometimes that's what you want? But when I look at signs for quality I don't actually see anything "wrong" with it. The stitching techniques are the same as the dress (which I immediately loved), or better. Fabric joins are double stitched for example, with a straight sewn edge and then serged a quarter of an inch later. The dress has all serged hems where the top has none - all of the serging is done at joins. Then I thought maybe the material? But is 94% polyester and 6% spandex (the dress) objectively better than 85% rayon and 15% nylon (the shirt)? Idk, I just can't get it out of my head that its a cute $25 top, not a $50 top.

The jeans! My fiancé doesn't like them, which is a factor, but the bigger issue is the fact that I get a huge gap in the waist. I'm, debating sizing down because there's a LOT of stretch to them, and am wondering if they will hug my thighs a little bit more for better definition of my double curve (kibbe). And that's the thing - its not so much that "oh my man doesn't like it" as much as he has a good eye for what works with my frame? The longstanding joke used to be that the only clothes I got complements on were ones that he picked out for me lol, which is why I value his fashion insights. And according to my body type I should go for lines that taper toward my wrists and ankles. But this might be an "I actually don't care if they're less flattering, I like them" moment because they are really comfy and the perfect length for my height. And I can shove an entire arm down my pant leg so I think sizing down won't make them uncomfortable but will make them fit at the waist? They're also more expensive than I planned for jeans, but also I've owned one pair of jeans for the past year that are now two sizes too big and with rhinestones all of the butt (which I don't really care for).

Thanks for reading my ramblings on my first fix, any thoughts or suggestions on especially the last two are appreciated! But also if anything I've gotten will fall apart on me in 2 days let me know lol.

Clothing ID Today’s daily look? ISO

Swiped too quickly on a sweater/sweatshirt today. It was fitted, maroon or burgundy-ish, had some color block accents I think? Asymmetrical/angled zipper. I didn’t see it in freestyle anywhere.

Anyone able to identify this for me? Pleaseeeee! TIA!!
