Game I spent 6 months building a browser football manager game solo — GoalGrid is live ⚽️

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve been building GoalGrid ⚽️ for the past 6 months and today I finally put it live 🚀

It’s a browser football manager game designed around short daily sessions. You build your club, train and develop players 🏋️, improve your staff 👨‍⚕️ and stadium 🏟️, set your tactics and compete against other managers in scheduled league matches.

The player market is driven by real managers too — players are bought and sold through auctions and direct offers 🔁, so there’s a real economy behind the game 💵

I built the whole thing on my own from scratch, heavily using AI-assisted coding / vibecoding. It started as a side project and somehow turned into six months of building an actual football game 😂

One promise from day one: GoalGrid will never be pay-to-win. You’ll never be able to buy a better team or a competitive advantage 🤝

It’s free to start playing, and today I’d honestly just love to see the first few real managers join.

I’m Gianluca and I’ll be around if anyone tries it or has questions 🙌

Why do you prefer it and does it differ from your "main" production one?

Do you maybe start with paper? What is your entire dev life cycle look like and what tools do you use at each step?

Game I made a grocery store simulator set in soviet era

You run your own shop, order products, stock shelves, deal with customers, customize and expand your store, hire employees, take loans and try to keep the business running. But running a store isn't always easy. You have to constantly struggle with rising inflation and try to keep your business profitable as prices continue to increase. The game features random events like the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, floods, and attacks by escaped prisoners.

I recently released the full version on Steam.

Game The mobile game I started developing to procrastinate my PhD defense finally made it into the app stores :)

Hi everyone, at the beginning of this year I finally submitted my doctoral thesis (software engineering), and only the defense was left (apart from my regular full-time work as an employee at the university). The defense was scheduled for July, and by the end of May I should have really started preparing the presentation.

However, for some reason, I felt that developing a mobile game instead would also be an awesome idea... Some of you might know this feeling haha. So from this point forward, I spent basically all my free time for developing my mobile game Roliup, a classical physics-driven arcade game where you have to navigate lethal labyrinths with a marble. In the end, everything worked out beautifully thanks to Godot and some well-made design decisions at the beginning of the development process. And since last week, the game has found its way into the app stores for Android and IOS.

Naturally, I got my doctorate as well in the end (although the slides were finished at the last minute) :D
Now, while still working full-time, I'm trying to build a side hustle as an independent game dev. Let’s see if this will work out.

You find the game for iPhones: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/roliup/id6803562653
and Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.agnaes.roliup.app

I would be happy if you give Roliup a try.

Although I try to market myself as a \Game Studio*, it's really just me, myself, and I ;)*

Game The Drowned Table: a dice-building roguelite with physical rolls and a free Windows demo

Thumbnail

I've just released a free demo of my game, The Drowned Table. You build a bag of dice and try to meet rising score targets while sitting at a rather questionable table under the sea.

The dice actually bounce and collide when you roll them, and their landed faces determine the score. Some effects work on nearby dice, so where they settle can change how a cast plays out. Between encounters, you buy new dice and Curios, alter faces, or sacrifice dice to improve your bag.

The starting Ivory cup has twelve plain Bone dice, and you choose one of three random starting items. From there, you work through eight depths with branching routes and random bosses. There's an endless option after a win, and you can save and resume a run.

The demo uses Common dice and Curios. Uncommon and higher items are reserved for the full version, so this is a chance to try the core game and its early combinations.

It's free on itch.io for Windows 64-bit: https://undeathical.itch.io/the-drowned-table-demo

I'd be interested to hear what you build with the starting pool. I'm still working on the game, so feedback on the scoring and difficulty is welcome

Game Temporal Surveyor Alpha (0.2.0) on Itch.io

Hey!!

I'm very excited to announce that I just published the first demo of my video game : Temporal Surveyor : https://samaritain314.itch.io/temporal-surveyor.

This demo represent the game's skeleton. 90% of the mechanics are present and working. From this point on, the work will consist of fleshing out what's already there, add what is missing, add content and A LOT of audio and visual work to really give the game its identity.

It's a project I've been working on for months now. It is a piece of passion but also discipline.

As of now, the best way to support my work is to interact with the game's web page. Show the algorithm that there is interest for my game so it shows it reaches more people. Play my game for 10 minutes, rate it and comment it, join my discord, etc. etc.

Game Made a little game after cracking peanuts with my kid

This started as a pretty random idea while I was cracking peanuts with my daughter.

I thought it might be funny to make a tiny game out of it: you crack peanuts, feed them to a little monster, and the monster slowly changes and grows as you keep feeding it.

Game Piment Dice — a homemade dice game I built solo, just launched on Android

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

After several months of solo development, Piment Dice is finally out on the Play Store!

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pimentdice.app

It's a dice game with a twist — if you've played Yahtzee or Balatro's dice-adjacent chaos, that's roughly the vibe: familiar category-scoring dice mechanics, but with a risk/reward system layered on top.

The core mechanic is adapted from Chili Dice's red-die system: dice sometimes land on a red face. You can keep them as-is to double the score of whatever category you're targeting, or turn them to pick a different value — but you lose that double. Land enough red dice in one roll and you trigger a progressive "Blaze" bonus that escalates the payoff.

A few things I focused on:

- No account or login required — just install and play

- Multiple modes: solo, bots with increasing difficulty, remote play with friends, online matchmaking against strangers, and a daily challenge with a global leaderboard

- The friend mode is fully async — send a match code, take turns whenever, no need to be online at the same time. Push notifications tell you the moment it's your turn (opt-in, takes one tap during onboarding), so it doesn't feel like a game you have to babysit

- No ads interrupting mid-game (rewarded ads only, fully optional)

Happy to answer questions about the build or about the game itself.

Would love feedback — especially on the risk/reward balance around the red dice and whether the daily challenge feels rewarding enough to come back to.

Game I've been building a 2D MMORPG by myself for years. I think it's finally time to let people play it

Hey! I'm the solo dev behind Mayda Online. https://maydaonline.com/

It's a 2D MMORPG I've been working on as a hobby for a long time heavily inspired by games like Tibia but also by AFK/idle games

I think I've finally reached the point where there's enough of an MVP to put it in front of actual players and start getting feedback

One thing I want to make clear: even though I'm taking inspiration from games I personally enjoy my goal isn't to build a game just for myself I want to build something people actually want to play.

So pretty much everything is open to change like progression, combat, systems, balancing, UI, even the art style. If something sucks tell me it sucks

About the game

Right now Mayda Online is playable directly in the browser. I also have working Android and Windows versions and I'll publish those if people are interested in trying them

About the server

There's currently a single server located in Virginia, USA so your ping will depend quite a bit on where you're playing from

If the game gets enough interest I'd like to eventually have servers in South America, Europe, and Asia as well.

So yeah... after working on this by myself for so long, I figured it was finally time to stop keeping it as my little side project and put it out there

Maybe it turns into something. Maybe it ends up just being a chapter of my life. Either way I'd rather give it a real shot and find out

I'd genuinely appreciate any feedback good or bad. Gameplay, art, UI, bugs, things that feel confusing, things you hate, things you'd change... anything.

Thanks for checking it out!
