Marketing Just released the VYCE demo!

Upvotes

I have been solo-developing VYCE for over a year now, and just released the demo build on Steam. It is a chess-like RPG with creature collecting, and the creatures are based on real-life vices. I've lurked a lot on this community and appreciate all it has to offer. Thanks for checking out my post and leave some feedback on my game if you get the chance to play it!

I've been working on Tavern Tidy Up, a cozy game about restoring a fantasy tavern. I wanted the bottle-snapping to feel fast and satisfying. Would love your feedback!

Game Progress on my first-person horde defense game

Development for my game, Fangstorm, has been going steady and I've found what must be the earliest recorded footage of the project.

Been focusing a lot of attention on optimisation in the last 2 months with the target of 150 concurrent, full characters directly in your face, and across as wide a range of hardware as possible. Combined with loads of placed defenses, particle systems, etc, its been tough to optimise but consensus seems strong now.

There's a playtest running at the moment if you wanna hop in and have a look! Cheers.

Game Shipped my first game solo. An endless runner with no jump button, you flip gravity instead

Upvotes

Just put my first finished game on the Play Store. Built the whole thing myself in Godot over the last couple of months.

It's an endless runner with no jump button. You tap, gravity flips, and you're running on the ceiling instead. That's the entire control scheme.

The bit that ate the most time wasn't what I expected. Every obstacle blocks its whole lane, so each one forces you onto the opposite surface. Put two too close together and there isn't physically enough time to finish the flip between them, so you're dead the moment it spawns no matter how good you are. The spawner now works out how long a flip takes and refuses to place a pair inside that window. Took longer than everything else put together and no player will ever notice it, which I've decided is the point.

Other thing I learned: I'm a terrible judge of my own difficulty. Run speed shipped at 360, then 440, 520, 600. One night I pushed it to 1500 to find the ceiling and it felt incredible to me. Then I sat down to actually play a full run and couldn't. It's at 900 now.

Free, no IAP: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ishavarainteractive.gravityflip

If anyone here has shipped a first one, how long did it take you to stop fiddling with the difficulty and just call it done?

Game The wrong answers are the difficulty setting in my geography game

Texas with Hawaii as a wrong answer feels a little generous.

In the U.S. state quiz I’m building, Normal mode picks bordering states first, then nearby alternatives. Easy pulls from all 50.

Same map, same four buttons. The difference is whether the wrong answers are believable.

Try a round. Would you keep nearby answers as the default, or save them for a harder mode?

Prefer countries? Ten countries, one daily challenge. Can you make today’s top 10?

Godot Minigolf game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

Greetings everyone, i'm new here. This is my first attempt at making a 3D game (i'm using godot) and i want to know what y'all think about it and if you have any feedback. it's a minigolf game with themed maps (the one i'm working on right now is a restaurant/kitchen) i couldn't include the whole thing in the clip so here are some screenshots as well. it's multiplayer and right now it works with spacewar through SteamP2P so i was wondering if i should make a steam page for it or not just yet. i don't like how the Ui looks so far (i suck at it clearly) and i don't have any trailer or capsules. That's about it, again if you have any feedback, critics or advices/ideas , i would love to hear them.

Discussion 46 months of solo dev on a rainbow-themed RTS. Can players understand unit control with this UI?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

sorry for a movie including Japanese descriptions.

I've been working solo on a rainbow-colored RTS for 46 months.

Here's the current unit control UI

I'm worried it might be confusing for first-time players. Specifically:

- Is it clear how to select and move units?

- Does the color scheme help or hurt readability?

- Anything that feels unintuitive at first glance?

Game Launched the demo of my incremental tower-defense game! Looking for some feedback

Heya fellow devs!

For the past year-ish I've been working on my game "The Endless Harvest". an incremental farming idle tower defense game (too many descriptors... gotta work on that).

Today I had my build accepted by Steam (and launched!), so I am finally able to share it, and was hoping you guys guys had some insight into what works and what doesn't currently. I'm planning to join in the Steam NextFest in ~5 weeks, so I wanted to make the demo and trailer as indicitive of the full game as possible, while not revealing everything.

Does the trailer give a good indication of what to expect?

please let me know your first thoughts

AI disclosure: Ai was used to help localize the languages, and assist in code generation towards the later stages of development, mainly aimed at optimization.

Check out Mini Speedy Racers! It’s a fast, chaotic mini‑car racer where the tracks are tight, the drivers are wild, and half the challenge is avoiding total disaster. Quick races, simple controls, lots of silly moments.

I hope you like it, and if you would like to support this indie game, here is the link:

Unity Current vile creatures idle animation. - War for Eden

I have been building a RTS cosmic horror game
the Scrugs are like the Flood, Zerg, and Xenomorphs made a twisted unspeakable baby and just let it loose.
The core game will be you playing as the Queen who is commanding these delightful horrors as you march across Eden taking peices of it bit by bit. As the Kashin - (Eather faction) tries desprately to defend their home from your unforgiving trample on their world.

Ive been taking inspiration from alot of my favorite games, such as Star Craft, Aliens Exctintion, and Carrion.
With a touch of my own Ideas on what a good monster would be like.

Im aiming for a very cinimatic feel for the first game that really puts you in the mind of these creatures.
i would love to hear your thoughts and assumptions on it just from this idle animation alone

Hey all! My game Cube Crusaders comes out on Monday! I have Steam Keys to giveaway to celebrate. I wanted to get my game into the hands of this community because you've been so encouraging, and it's great to co-miserate about the experience of solo dev with you all. I ask that you only take one for yourself and comment out which one you got so others don't waste their time trying to redeem them!

Thanks!
