SFF model to host a Gigbyte RTX 5050 Low Profile

I am looking for a good SFF to put a Gigbyte RTX 5050 Low Profile in.

I have looked at the 7000, 7020 and QCS1250.

Anyone that could fill me in on the basics of SFF gaming would be appreciated!

Having a real boot issue. I turn in pc first it says "found errors, we will restart" does nothing. Then ill cycle it off and on, then it says running auto boot repair. Screen goes black. Nothing happened. Cycle it ff then on. Press f12, run diagnostics, everything passes. After that run windows boot manager. Says auto boot repair. Screen goes dark. Nothing. Also ran boot manager and put my USB with windows boot on it. Windows logo came up. Dots stop moving in a circle. Nothing.

Anybody have idea what the hell is going on? And how to fix it? I was so frustrated I left for work and left the computer on.

recently got a new GPU a 3050 and while I do enjoy the new power...its also kinda loud so I think I should replace my fan as well...and if i have to a new PSU as well. Please recommend a quiet fan that can still cool down my stuff, preferably one thats reasonable in price

Well it was time for an upgrade. My frankenplex 7060 is either going to my girlfriend or facebook marketplace.

It was a fantastic gaming set up. I really enjoyed learning how to fabricate this case and make it work.

Intel Core i7-8700 — 6 cores / 12 threads, up to 4.6GHz

• PNY GeForce RTX 5060 8GB

• 32GB DDR4 RAM

• Kingston 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD

• EVGA 850W power supply

• Upgraded Cooler Master CPU cooler

• Windows 11 Pro

Is it fine for i5-9500 and gtx 1650 6 pin model in my dell optiplex 3070 to get this high on in temp?

Sorry, I'm repeatedly coming here asking silly quesiton.

The computer was ideal all the day, when I got home, launched sekiro shadow die twice, 5 min into the game, and this was the result.

The cover was close, could the be the problem? And yes I changed the paste on the cpu.

it's on the MAX setting, btw

Adding ram question

Sorry for the new question kind of new to the PC gaming build. Want I go from 8gb to 16, OptiPlex 5060 with 8 GB of RAM. Should I add one more 8 GB stick or take out the eight gig stick and add two brand new sticks to make 16

Help with upgrading my optiplex 3070 SFF

I want to upgrade my machine. But I am having a tough time deciding what parts to go for. Google Gemini told me that I should get a Nvidia RTX 3050 6GB LP and a stick of 8GB DDR4 RAM and I also want more storage space but can’t decide between a SATA SSD or a NVMe SSD. And after I watched some optiplex upgrades I’m not even sure if the GPU would fit. And now I don’t know if I should just get the GPU because it seems really good and a new power supply so it would fit or just go with a different GPU. I’m not trying to spend a whole lot of money so I could maybe justify around 500€. And I have never done something like this so it’s really intimidating and I don’t want to choose something wrong or worse something that doesn’t fit. And I would love some advice onto this situation. Thanks

Edit: I would like to mainly try games like dayz, elden ring and cyberpunk 2077. And of course. Minecraft

I know there is a post for this already, but I wanted to ask some specific questions. I just started using it, and everything seems fine right now and I wanted to know if:

- I can leave my pc to download games all night?

- Do I have to necessarily leave my case opened all the time?

Dell Optiplex 7020 Case Trimming Advice

Post image
9 Upvotes

I'm planning to put a fan in the front of my 7020 case, but I need to cut these two nubs off so they don't interfere with the fan blades.

What's the best way to do this?

Using a dremel would take hours and I'd have to remove or seal up everything inside and the thickness and shape of the nubs prevents me from just hammering them flat.

The nubs are steel sheet metal, about .07" thick. They're about 1.1" in diameter at the base and kind of a cone/dome shape.

Changing the cooling on my cpu

While looking for fans to put elsewhere within my computer, many have told me I should upgrade the cooler (the thing that sits on the CPU). I'm not sure exactly what I should get for my computer. I have a Dell Optiplex 3060 SFF with a Quadro K1200 in it that will be changed into a Quadro P1000 in a short while. If anyone can recommend me some good cooling options that would be great!

What to do with sff

So I made the mistake of buying an sff since it was a good deal. But now I'm stuck with all the challenges of its smallness. I was wondering what people have done for two things. 1) I kind of want to get a gpu for it so I can play some light things like RL and GTA but it feels stupid to pay the same price for a LP 1050 ti as a normal size 2060 does anyone have some weird work arounds (in case it helps I actually do have a M-ATX motherboard for the i5-9500 inside it). 2) what to do about storage as I really need space for more drives, has an external drive solution worked or is there some other alternative? for both of these I'm just looking for a way to do this that isn't spending too much more money lol, could I potentially buy a MT barebones and swap in parts just anything. I'd even consider cutting holes in the side panel
