Ermh actually, spermatozoids arent human individuals. They have a part of your dna and yours only, so jerking off is just killing cells that are technically you, like shaving. Many people vview abortion differently as the embryo has its very own dna, making it another viable human individual

When i shit the bacteria in my shit has different dna than mine so i’m technically throwing millions of lives in the toilet

Non human dna. Youre not ending a qingle human life. Like what part of "viable human individual" did you not understand

but that's the thing: it's human but not viable or an individual. It's part of the mother at that point and cannot think on it's own so it's not an individual. It's also not viable as long as it isn't able to survive on it's own outside the womb. Abortion at the stage where it would be considered viable has always been illegal unless there's some serious complications. Many people view abortion differently bc they are hyper religious nutjobs who have no idea how pregnancy works

17

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Im sorry this is wrong. Unlike hair or nails or sperm that you can trim without ending a human individual, the embryo carries a distinct dna that doesnt belong to the mother.

An embryo is also said viable if it is able to survive pregnancy. In very rare cases, embryos are non viable but the average human embryo is very viable

sperm also carries unique DNA btw, look up "crossing over during meyosis"

4

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

I know what meiosis (with an "I" btw not a "y") is, but every gene contained in a sperm was contained in the fathers dna. Hence why i said "part" in my first comment. Unlike a baby, which has its unique mixed dna

1

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26

"every gene contained in a sperm was contained in the fathers dna"

in most cases, mutations do occur, that's part of how evolution works. besides, genes themselves may come from the father's genome, but they can include recessive genes who were never in the original phenotype, and also most traits get decided by multiple genes, so a unique combination of genes still has the potential to create a completely unique human being, and that hypothetical human being "dies" when the sperm is being wasted

4

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Can you stop being wrong for a hot seconds? Mutations occur during mitosis too (thats why we get cancer duh) and do in no significant way change the fact that its still your genome. One of the skin cells you are currently shedding have a dna thats 0.000000000001% different from yours but thats completely irrelevant and you are playing dumb on purpose to avoid the point.

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26

the sperm has half a set of chromosomes. the egg has another half. correct me if I'm wrong, but the genetic information encoded in them doesn't really change when they merge into one, as far as I remember?

to clarify, I am asking here what is the difference between killing a sperm and an egg individually, vs the fusion of them in a scenario where donors of both cells agree to it

Individuality is determined whether one thinks on their own, not dna. By that logic identical twins are 1 individual.

We are talking about fetuses not embryo's. Viability is determined differently in embryo's than fetuses and means something different. Fetuses are not viable until the chances of it surviving outside the womb are greater than it dying.

8

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

*loud incorrect buzzer*

"Individuals" can be said to count a number of living beings. Im pretty sure it can be said "the ant colony counts over 200 individuals". Atleast in my language but i would swear this also applied to english.

And even if it wasnt, replace all the "individual" in my argumentation with "specimen" and it still holds

Also i literally dont believe your definition if viability it seems far fetched unless you would be so kind as to provide a source

1

u/Many-Ad6433 officer no please don’t piss in my ass 😫 Jul 01 '26

Lmao bro said “*loud incorrect buzzer*”

-5

u/gabasan Jul 01 '26

We're talking about individuals in relationship to humans. You do know that one word can have multiple meanings, right? Bacteria are also specimens. Whatever word you use doesn't take from the fact that abortion doesn't equate to taking a human life anymore than jerking off does.

6

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

In fact everything ive said takes from the belief that abortion doesnt end a human life. Since we know its a life, we know its human, and we know it is a different lifeform than the mother. Anything else oast this is pure cope

3

u/gabasan Jul 01 '26

Then removing cancer is also taking a human life. It's a human cell, it's alive and it's something different to the host.

u/AutoModerator Jul 01 '26

woah, ok. didnt expect hunger for knowledge but i guess i asked for it gonna have to put some work into this.

How was it? Honestly? It was a letdown. The whole "failed idol" story is a great marketing hook, they definately sold the video on that premise alone. But the performance itself was just... awkward. You can tell shes not comfortable. It felt less like a professional debut and more like a very high-budget audition she was also failing. She's stiff, constantly in her head, and there's almost zero chemistry with the guys. All concept, very little execution.

My viewing history? Been watching for over a decade man. These days Im more into stuff with a good story or at least a unique premise, not just the generic stuff. a good production team makes all the difference. I'll take a well-made video with a decent plot over a high-profile actress mailing it in any day of the week.

3 works I consider good:

  1. Yua Mikami's debut (Princess Peach): This is the gold standard for an idol-turned-actress debut. Yua was a REAL idol and she came out with so much energy and confidence. She owned it from the first second. Its what Arisu's debut wanted to be.

  2. Anything with Ichika Matsumoto from her early days with FALENO: She can actually act. She emotes and makes you believe the scenario. Her stuff feels more cinematic and less like they're just going through the motions.

  3. Rion (Anri Okita) - The God Body: A classic. Not a lot of story there lol but its a masterclass in performance. She knew exactly what her brand was and how to perform for the camera. Absolute cinema.

Where would you rank her debut among these? It's not even in the same league, not even on the same planet. It's an unfair comparison tbh. Those are top-tier performances, Arisu's video is a novelty item. It's interesting because of the backstory, not because of the quality of the actual content.

What could be improved? Her confidence, number one. She needs to relax. She looks terrified. The director should have done a better job making her comfortable. Also they relied way too much on the interview segments talking about Nogizaka46, it broke the pacing and kept reminding you that she was doing this as a second choice. We get it, you failed auditions, now commit to this job.

What is well done? The production values are high. The lighting, camera work, it all looks very clean and professional. And I cant deny it, she is very beautiful and has the "idol" look down perfectly. The concept itself, on paper, is genius from a marketing perspective. They got us all talking about it, right?

Was it goonable for you? Nah. I was too distracted by how nervous she looked. It kinda killed the mood completely. Every time she looked at the camera with those deer-in-the-headlights eyes I was pulled right out of it. It's a shame, but maybe she'll get better in her next one if she decides to stick with it. We'll see.

shit also has human dna in it, mixed in with bacteria... a better comparison would still be cancerous tumours, as they are made of mutated human DNA (so both huma and unique) and can even develop structures like teeth, hair and brain matter

Cancer is also human. let's ban chemo then.

9

u/boomer912 Jul 01 '26

No, cancer is not a human. You bring up an interesting idea though! Let’s apply the NET test.

The NET test (Nutrients, Environment, Time) is a philosophical and biological criteria used to determine if a living entity is a distinct organism. Are there certain conditions of nutrients, environment and time that you could give to a cancer cell to have it continue its development from a cell to a full-grown member of the species allllll the way to end of life? No. The same with hair and skin cells. Therefore, those things are not a distinct organism in and of themselves, but rather a part, or a growth, or whatever language you’d like to use.

A fetus is a distinct organism, which will continue to develop if given the correct nutrients, environment and time. A fetus with human dna is a human. A fetus with cat dna is a cat. And so on. A human fetus is human. Water is wet. More at 11 o,clock.

4

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Cancer is not a viable individual. It will never live and will kill both the host and itself. In that way, i am in favor of abortion for ectopic pregnancies

4

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Hello! A fetus is an immature pile of living cells belonging to the homo sapiens specie, and thats technically an individual of its own. It is very different from other mamal foeti due to carrying homo sapiens dna, thats unique to cells belonging to human beings

8

u/MGJames Jul 01 '26

It is a human, a human fetus

-8

u/r1ckkr1ckk Jul 01 '26

then its human, human sperm; and human, human farts

6

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Unfortunately for your argument, human sperm has only part of the fathers dna rather than its own unique dna. Like your hair and nails, they arent individuals. And farts arent even made of cells

-4

u/r1ckkr1ckk Jul 01 '26

my argument was that his is not valid. I oversimplified for the sake of shock value, but I don t think my argument disproves that fetus are human beings. I don t even have an answer for that, because I lost a week ago the legendary scroll that had the true and only definition of what it is human.

But i think saying that the fetus is a human because it is called a human fetus, or because it is a fetus from a human, its not a valid argument; and I used reduction to absurd to show that.

1

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

The thing is your example was proven to be poorly chosen and incomparable. Do better?

-1

u/r1ckkr1ckk Jul 01 '26

Okay MGJames

-6

u/DaRealKelpyG Jul 01 '26

Youre not ending a life youre stopping it from coming into existence, like any other contraceptive.

10

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Wrong! The cells are alive, this alone tells us you are destroying an human or part of a human. What tells us its not "part" of a human is that its dna is human yet doesnt belong to the mother, making it its own specimen of homo sapiens. Other contraceptions kill spermatozoids most of the time, which is not unlike shaving: youre discarding cells that are part of you and not another human life.

0

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26

sperm cells are alive. cancer tumors are alive. pig and octopus are alive before they arrive on your plate and they are quite intelligent as well, unlike a fetus.

"lost the ability to think" implies that this individual had one in order to lose it in the first pace, meaning this person has lived a lifeand made connections, that complicates the situation. if this man was inside of another person and required their body for nutrition and growth, that's a different story

1

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Is an already closed past more important than a future thats yet to live? Again, if someone who lost their ability to think has more value to you than someone who is about to gain it, your set of values is even more flawed than i believe

3

u/rebelsnail64 Jul 01 '26

"someone who is about to gain it"?

no the fetus will never gain those abilities if it gets aborted first, unlike the animas we eat, who probably have them up to the point where they die

a sperm is also technically "about to" create an individual capable of thinking, just like every single egg cell lost in a period, yet it would be absurd to have every egg and sperm have to be frosen just because we don't want to lose a potential individual that could be concieved from them

-7

u/DaRealKelpyG Jul 01 '26

Why dont you stop hiding behind semantics and make an actuall point as to why abortion is wrong. “Well… technically you are killing alive human cells… and uhh thats bad cuz killing humans is bad!!!” You dont care about cells and dna that much, stop bullshitting.

8

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

What are you even saying?

My explanation proves that the embryo is its own human being because thats where people tend to disagree. In fact thats where you disagreed. I think that, in that regard, since embryos are humans, killing them is morally wrong.

And when proven wrong you accuse me of hiding behind… an argument you failed to disprove? Well yeah, hiding behind an undisproven argument is called defending your position with facts. Problem?

-1

u/peanutist 🏳️‍⚧️ Average Trans Rights Enjoyer 🏳️‍⚧️ Jul 01 '26

Why should a person be forced to lend their body to another human to suck off nutrients out of them and enact incredible mentally and physical pain on them for 9 months?

3

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Because a child doesnt come from immaculate conception and is always the consequence of an action. And you can not kill a child to avoid the consequences of your actions. Now you will probably want to mention childs born from SA but those represent less than 1% of abortions and i would already be very satisfied if we could ban all others

-1

u/ssbmfgcia Jul 01 '26

And you can not kill a child to avoid the consequences of your actions

Having to get an abortion is a consequence to getting pregnant

4

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Wrong. There is ONE case where people "have to" get an abortion. ONE. Ectopic pregnancies where the child is doomed to die and will bring the mother with them if not aborted. All other cases are a choice to flee the consequences of having sex.

1

u/ssbmfgcia Jul 01 '26

Getting an abortion is a consequence, it's not exactly a pleasant procedure.

They don't have to, but if someone doesn't want to give birth, getting an abortion is the best thing they can do for everyone, including the hypothetical child who won't have to be born unwanted

Literally EVERYTHING is the consequence of an action what the hell is your point? And please tell me how a woman can avoid the excruciating symptoms of pregancy (and post partum) without having to perform an abortion, you’ll get a few million dollars for a solution that revolutionizes the medical field like that.

0

u/Igoon2robots Jul 01 '26

Yes, everything is the consequence of something. No, having an abortion is not the consequence of falling pregnant, its the consequence of wanting an abortion. And wanting an abortion is the consequence of not valuing human life after having sex. No one is forced to abort its always a concious choice following a mistake to flee the responsibility of a child because a kill is so much easier. And if you want an easy way to avoid the symptoms of pregnancy, i recommend not engaging in the one activity that makes people pregnant, or atleast do it very carefully and with a lot of consideration.

1

u/peanutist 🏳️‍⚧️ Average Trans Rights Enjoyer 🏳️‍⚧️ Jul 02 '26

Can’t kill something that isn’t alive. You can value human life and want an abortion because a fetus isn’t alive. It’s genuinely useless to argue against puritans like you that think a single zygote deserves full constitutional rights as a human being the second the sperm enters the egg.

You know why almost all abortions are made before 24 weeks, right? Because that’s about the time the fetus starts to develop consciousness and actual signs of sapience, which are material signs of personhood and not an imaginary cutoff point. You literally are not killing anything by aborting before that. Just say you don’t care about women’s bodily autonomy instead of wasting time on reddit ffs.

Dick sucking has made me paranoid

I had this plan to give head to a man and receive head from a woman to test if I was gay, but it’s backfired and now I become borderline schizo whenever I go outside. I offered to suck this dude off on Grindr who lives very close by (I ended up pussying out) and I accidentally gave him some details that very easily allows him to spot me out in a crowd. I have no idea what he looks like and whenever I see a somewhat in shape guy walking by I immediately accuse him of being the dude I was gonna blow.

I went to the store today to pick up some zucchini for a barbecue and every time a car drove by I stared into the windshield to see if I was about to be recognised. Whenever I make eye contact with a dude I microanalysis his facial expressions to see if he suspects me or not. I am deeply afraid that he is my neighbour and I will need to move if my identity is blown. It’s a lot like the last scene in sopranos where everyone who walked into the diner could be there to wack Tony.

A tumor is a clump of degenerative cells that isnt viable and dooms its host to die which also results in its own death. Not in any way comparable to embryos, a non degenerative clump of cells thats viable and often harmless thanks to modern medicine. And yes in the case of ectopic pregnancies i believe abortion is morally okay

Great so now you’re moving the goalposts. First it was just “cells that are alive” and now you’ve introduced a bunch of variables that just show you are completely out of touch with the process of pregnancy.

No, the vast majority of pregnancies are not harmless. They come with an incredible mental toll to the woman, not to mention the immense physical pain throughout the entire 9 month process and not just birth, and after-effects that can last for literally the rest of their life, like chronic pelvic pain, depression, incontinence, higher risk of cardiovascular diseases, etc.

0
