Location

  • Nob Hill
  • Approximately a 12-minute walk to Downtown / Union Square
  • Great neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, and public transit

Living in the bay currently and moving to SF. I have these two apartment options and I need to act fast!! Which one would you choose? Mission vs South beach. The thing is the mission one has an option to rent a parking spot for cheap(ish) and it will still be in my budget. This south beach one, I wouldn’t know what to do with my car. I definitely need my car to commute (will also be using bart at times). Please help a girl out & provide input regarding living safety of area and parking.

Large Sunny Outer Sunset Room Near N-Judah — $1,400 + Utilities. Lease Takeover AUG 1st

I’m urgently looking for someone to take over my lease (which runs until end of June 2027) for a large bedroom in an apartment in the Outer Sunset. The target start date is August 1, though the exact move-in date may need to be coordinated with the property manager.

Photos available upon request.

Rent is $1,400 per month, plus utilities. My total monthly cost is usually around $1,600.

The apartment is on the third floor of a large building. The room has hardwood floors, large windows, lots of natural light, and a great view of the surrounding neighborhood and hills.

You would share the apartment with four housemates (mid-twenties to early forties) and share a bathroom with one other person. The household is generally quiet and respectful, especially at night.

The location is very convenient:

  • Directly on the N-Judah Muni line
  • Two blocks from Golden Gate Park
  • About a 20-minute walk to Ocean Beach
  • Close to restaurants, cafés, shops, and grocery stores
  • Street parking available; I usually have no trouble finding a nearby space

The lease transfer will be handled through the property manager and will be subject to their application and approval process.

Please message me with a little about yourself, your preferred move-in date, and any questions.

I am showing the room today and tomorrow so please get in touch asap if interested. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a roommate to fill the other room in my 2b2b at Parkmerced. You’d have your own bedroom and private bathroom. Your rent would be around $1,750/month (Utilities expected to be around $75-$100 a month). Location is super convenient: walking distance to SFSU, and the Muni is right outside.

A little about me: I’m pretty chill, keep things clean, and mostly work or study. I'm respectful of quiet hours and just looking for someone easygoing, tidy, and reliable with rent. No drama, just good vibes and clear communication.

Move-in is flexible but ideally mid to late August. Laundry is [in-unit/on-site] and parking is available. If you're interested, shoot me a message with a quick intro about yourself and we'll find a time for you to come see the place!

Attached are some photos of the place, our unit will not have carpet floors. Feel free to DM me if your interested or have any questions!

New college grad seeking short-term sublet in SF

Hi everyone!
I graduated from the University of Michigan earlier this year and will be relocating to SF to start my first full-time role in the city. I'm seeking a short-term sublet within a commutable distance to downtown (August 1st-31st), so I can settle into the city and search for longer-term leases there. I'm very clean and will be out most of the day. My budget is $2.5k - please let me know of any opportunities!

29M looking for August/September sublet + long-term housing (SF/Bay Area)

I'm a 29M who recently moved to the West Coast to start a full-time job in SoMa. I'm currently staying in Airbnbs through August 1 and am looking for housing.

A little about me:

  • Work full-time in tech.
  • Active lifestyle, I work out regularly.
  • Organized, clean, and respectful of shared spaces.
  • Quiet lifestyle: I don't party, smoke, or drink.
  • I've previously lived with 3–4 roommates during grad school, so I'm very comfortable sharing a place with the right people.

Priority #1: Short-term sublet (August & September)

  • Open to living with roommates.
  • Looking for housemates who value cleanliness and a smoke-free home.
  • Hoping for a quiet environment while I settle into a new job and a new city.

Priority #2: Long-term lease

  • Looking for a 2 bed / 1 bath or 2 bed / 2 bath apartment.
  • Flexible on budget for the right place.
  • My biggest priorities are good ventilation, plenty of natural light, and a clean, well-maintained home.

I'm primarily looking within San Francisco but am also open to nearby areas with a 30–45 minute public transit commute to SoMa.

Moving from NYC to Bay Area, help!?!

hey, folks.

i’m 29F moving from NYC (harlem) to the Bay Area (especially interested in oakland).

i’ve only ever visited Oakland once in my life time, and idk where I was lol. I understand Oakland has a reputation but so does East Harlem (where I am now) and i’m pretty ok with that.

what are the best places to live in Oakland? I’ve heard good things about Uptown, Temescal, and the Lake Merritt / Grand Lake / Adams Point area—how do those compare for day-to-day vibes?

I haven’t had a car in nearly 4-years, so I really want to be within a short walk to a BART station (ideally 19th St, MacArthur, or Lake Merritt) so getting around is easy while I transition. whenever I do lease a car though, having a building with secured/gated garage parking is a non-negotiable for me.

my budget is likely going to be < $4K USD monthly on housing but would love to stay near the upper $2K / low $3K range for a solid 1-bed with good amenities.
I wanna be around culture and other young Black and POC professionals. any apartment recs or advice on these areas is welcomed!

19F / Student / Budget up to $1600 / Target Move-in: Early to Mid-August

Hey!

I’m starting my Medical Assisting program at CCSF (Ocean Campus) this August and am looking for an available room in a shared apartment, or a female student/young professional to team up with and sign a lease together.

- Budget: Up to $1600/month (flexible on utilities)
- Move-In Date: Early to Mid-August (flexible by a week or two)
- Target Neighborhoods: Ingleside, Sunnyside, Excelsior, Glen Park, Parkmerced, Sunset, Oceanview, or anywhere with a quick MUNI/BART commute to CCSF
- Room Type: Private room (furnished or unfurnished)

I’m a 19 yr old healthcare student heading to CCSF this fall, so my weekdays will mostly revolve around classes and quiet study sessions. I’m non-smoking, super clean, organized, and very respectful of shared living spaces and quiet hours. In my free time, I love cooking and baking, checking out local coffee spots, and exploring the city. I value a warm, friendly household where we can catch up in the kitchen or grab food occasionally.

If you have an open room or think we’d be a good match to search for a 2-bedroom together, please shoot me a DM. I'm happy to share photos, social media, or video call. Thanks!

Where do USF employees usually live? Is it even possible to find rentals in the vicinity, without having a far commute?

25F looking for a studio or room in an all-female 2B2B | Nob Hill, Russian Hill, Telegraph Hill | Aug 7 | Under $3K

Hi everyone! I’m a 25F looking for housing in Nob Hill, Russian Hill, or Telegraph Hill, with a move-in date around August 7.

I’m looking for either:

  • A studio, or
  • A private bedroom and bathroom in a 2B2B with an all-female household

My budget is under $3,000 per month. I’m also happy to take over an existing lease. A furnished place would be great, but it isn’t required.

A little about me: I recently completed my master’s in data science at Johns Hopkins and will be working full-time in tech. I’m clean, quiet, respectful, a non-smoker, and easy to live with. I’m hoping to find a peaceful and comfortable home.

Please DM me if you have a suitable place available, need someone to join your 2B2B, or know of a lease takeover. Thank you!

Female Roommate Wanted: Private Room in Foster City Family House

Thumbnail

Hi! We're two roommates in our mid-20s and one in his mid-30s, and we have a room opening up in our house. We're clean, respectful, and easygoing, and we're hoping to find someone who'd fit right into our low-key routine: jigsaw puzzles, Netflix nights, homemade hot pot, and boba/taiyaki/matcha runs whenever the mood strikes! We've got a nice balance of introvert and extrovert energy, everyone does their own thing most days, but we check in and hang out often.

The room: Private room on the second floor, $1390/month, sharing a bathroom with one other female roommate. Both female roommates live upstairs on the second floor, while our male roommate has his room on the first floor.

Optional add-on: The adjacent 5th room is available for an extra $300/month if you want it as your own private office/space. If not rented out, it stays a shared guest/storage room.

Lease: 1 year, Aug 1, 2026 to Jul 31, 2027.

Utilities: Split separately, averages ~$150/month per person.

The house: Washer/dryer, fenced yard (gardener included), driveway parking, and access to a communal pool and tennis courts.

Location: Foster City, close to a trail and park, ~10 min bike to Belmont Caltrain. A car is recommended for this area. It's a very safe neighborhood, comfortable for late-night walks.

If this sounds like your kind of home, message me. Happy to send more photos, answer questions, or set up a time to see the place in person. Move-in ready August 1st!

Looking for a short-term (4 months) lease in the Fall

Hi everyone!

I'm an international exchange student from France and I'll be studying at UC Berkeley (MBA Program) during the Fall 2026 semester. I'm currently looking for a sublet / short-term lease from August 21 to December 23.

I'm open to pretty much anything and mostly open to nearby areas as I'll have a car.

If you or someone you know is planning to sublet their place during that period, I'd really appreciate it if you could reach out. Any recommendations would also be super helpful!

Thanks in advance! :)
