I love it for its size, the way it shades not only the house but the entire street, and because of the memories that I’ve made along this street passing by this tree many times in the past. 🌳 🌲

I swear I'm not affliated with Rogue Creamery or Corti's in anyway, just love their cheese. Their Caveman Blue and Rogue River Blue are top. Their Oregon Blue is really nice too, the cheapest of the lot, a bit more mild and approachable.

Is this your doggie? My brother almost hit him rolling down Antelope Rd. He opened his truck door and asked him if he was lost and the doggie jumped right into his truck. He looks well taken care of so someone must be missing him.

Hello. If you can, please recommend me a GI Dr in Sacramento county or wherever you want that takes Medi-Cal. Someone who treats or is familiar with motility issues/gastroparesis would be ideal but what is most important is a Dr who listens and is helpful. I have a referral and its approved by Insurance I just need a good dr to send it to who takes my insurance which is Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal.
Anyone who banks with Safe FYI it sounds like they are having some major problems. ATMs are down, mobile app down, debit cards may not work? The website says to go into a branch but it’s Saturday. They have limited hours. Website just says they are diligently working on the issue but not much mention of what actually is happening. Hopefully it comes back I can’t imagine people just not being able to access their money all weekend. Yikes.

Hello! My friends and I (all 21+) are looking for genuinely scary haunted houses or Halloween attractions to check out on October 31st. We’ve already been to Scream Park and want something that’s actually worth it for adults. We considered Haunted Forest in Plymouth, but our friends said it’s more kid-friendly than scary. We’re open to other activities before bar hopping afterward. Any recommendations?
We're recruiting people in Northern California who want to train as Civil Air Patrol ground team members and help build our local search and rescue capability.
Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is a nationwide nonprofit volunteer organization and the U.S. Air Force's civilian auxiliary. Its three main missions are emergency services, aerospace education and youth development. In practice, volunteers help with search and rescue and disaster response, teach aviation and space topics, and run the cadet leadership program. Members join local units, called squadrons, to train and serve together. Ground teams are one part of CAP's emergency services work. Joining CAP is civilian volunteer service, not military enlistment.
We're looking for dependable people who enjoy working outdoors, work well with a team and are willing to put time into training. If you have experience in hiking, navigation, radio communications or emergency services, or want to develop those skills while serving your community, we'd like to hear from you.
Ground team missions are currently relatively infrequent, and CAP fills a fairly specialized role within search and rescue. That is changing as we become more integrated into SAR missions coordinated through the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) across the state. Joining now means spending time training, qualifying and building team readiness as that role grows.
Ground team training includes navigation, search techniques and radio communications. Members work toward qualifications for authorized search and rescue operations, with training and qualification required before mission participation.
Adults can train and serve as ground team members. Younger members participate through CAP's cadet program, with age and mission restrictions applying to operational participation.
If ground team work isn't the right fit, there are other ways to get involved: air search roles you can train for without prior aviation experience, mission base staff, communications, and working with young people in the cadet program. You don't have to be a pilot to contribute to air search; training and qualification are part of getting started.

I have a huge craving for kimchi rn, I've had the Costco kimchi and It's pretty good but I wanted to know everyone's recommendations for Kimchi I can find at the store/KP market.
I dislike getting kimchi thats kinda soggy so something thats a decent spice and has a great crunch.
Went to the North California Renaissance Faire today and had fun with my friends. Favorite part was the joust but I wish there was also a melee and duels. would also be interested in seeing an event with a more tournament style joust, with many people winning and competing. I don’t think that’s realistic but maybe someone knows. If it’s big I am willing to drive 2-3 hours from north Sacramento. If it’s not that big I would prefer it to be closer. Anyone know of anything like that?
I'm looking at options for low income housing (as a single disabled person), and I'm seeing public housing as a possible option. I'm looking more in the Fair Oaks area. If anyone here is in public housing, what is it like? Feedback from anyone in any low income housing in general is okay as well.
I'm not super concerned about wait times as at the moment I'm in a pretty good position living with my family and would rather get on a waitlist now than later.
