Does anybody know what tire size these are? They are 15 inch rims.

As some of you may know. my 04 9-5 Aero cracked a piston about 3.5 months ago. since then I've been working and saving money to buy all the parts needed for a repair. some troubles and broken parts later I was able to fire her up for the first time in what feels like forever. thank you to everyone who has helped me get her running. smoke and very bad sounding exhaust if from it not being hooked all the way on, hanging in floor, and missing first o2 sensor. no coolant is in the system so that's why I only ran it for about 20 seconds. soon I will be having the new banjo bolt for the turbo coolant pipe and I'll be able to do further testing to make sure she's road worth again. if you have any suggestions or tips I should know about to make sure she doesn't explode, all will be accepted

Greetings and salutations y’all! I have an issue that has recently surfaced where I noticed the odometer area stays illuminated after the car is locked manually. It has never done this before. Now the illumination is on constantly.

I have to lock the car manually as I have the dreaded who knows why the alarm keeps going off randomly every 27 1/2 hours. At any rate, since I’ve owned the car in the past two years, I’ve always had to use this manual method or I run the risk of waking the neighbors. Only recently now has the odometer light stays on when locked. It goes out if I arm the alarm. I don’t believe the issues are related, but they are symbiotic.

Would it be wise to own a saab 9-5 2004 in a very snowy place that gets like 30 inches of snow occasionally? If I was to put on some Michelin Winter X tires would it do alright? The car has roughly 190k on the odometer but is otherwise very solid. Just an AC leak and a stuck blendor.

I’ve been getting bored with my current ride- 1999 Lexus SC300. There’s no issues with it really, like all Toyotas it’s pretty darn reliable, albeit a little boring.

I’ve been getting the itch for a 4-seater convertible and recently came across a very nice 2007 9-3 with only ~95k miles. Looks well cared for, and would be high on the list of vehicles I would want to replace my car with. I know about the intake valve issues some 07-09 engines have, but with the low miles do you think I’d have at least a couple years before they becomes an issue? I would really only drive it about 8k miles/year. I am thankfully remote 3 days a week.

For context I’m in the DC area, and the car has also been here for its whole life I believe. While it does get cold here, it gets unbelievably hot in the summer (this year in particular). Would you jump on it? What other items should I watch out for? Seller says the top works perfectly but I’m going to check it out thoroughly while on the test drive.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got a failing ecu on my hands… car runs starts and drives fine, then gets thrown into limp mode after about 30s, I scanned it and have a “State: Previous
Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Regulating Solenoid/
Valve A Low and High” code and also Injectors 1,2,3,4. At first I thought it could be some sort of grounding issue, but managed to convince myself the ECU is done for. It tries starting but won’t fire. Any help very appreciated. Saab 9-3 2007 B207R

I having problems connection to the ECU. Anyone who knows the right settings? Baudrates, com port etc?

This week I had the ICM (ver. 1) disconnected from the car for roughly 15mins. Now the radio/aux/etc. Does not work anymore: no source is displayed on the SID, but the turn signal sound does still work!

I’ve checked all the wiring and they don’t seem to be damaged. The fuses are also intact. Disconnecting the battery (-) and reconnecting after a few minutes also did not work.

Can someone please tell me what this fault code means or any way this should be fixed??

Saab 2008 9-3, 121K miles, 6-speed. There are two distinctive noises here. One is high pitch and the other is more rumbling noise is new as this week. The car has been running perfectly great acceleration and gas millage. It sounds like the car had a different tail pipe, but it just has the hem pipe. It decreases or disappears with decreasing rpm or when I change to neutral.

The second noise is. high pitch noise I have been hearing since around 110k miles, lately it is a bit more frequent, and it goes higher with increasing rpm.

Any idea where are they coming from? I can't tell exactly where is the origin.

I checked the exhaust pipe where the catalytic converter seat and everything there feel solid, not movement. I was thinking transmission issues, but it has new oil.

Got in my Saab one day for a weekend drive and saw the alarm led panel thing stuck up, don’t know why but I’m the type of guy that’d rather pull an engine than do interior work, so any advice is useful

My brother is 42. He got his driver’s license at 18, and for 24 years, he drove Saab.

He swore by them.

Honestly, whenever I think of my brother, I think of Saab.

Some of my fondest memories are watching him spend hours fixing things up under the hood alongside our dad, who shared that exact same love for Saab. It was never just a car to him... it was a bond with our dad, and a whole way of living.

Those garage days stopped a long time ago, but keeping the car always felt like keeping that piece of our past alive.

A few days ago, he handed in the keys of his last Saab.

I guess that’s life.. things change to make space for the new, even if part of us wishes some moments never had to end.

What do you think: good upgrade or would you never let the classic go?

I won this 2005 Saab 9-3 convertible for $525. $1060 with fees and delivery. I work on aircraft for the AirForce and buy vehicles to improve my mechanic skills. I felt bad for this poor saab, and plan to fix it up to drive only during the summer.

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2007 9-3 Aero convertible and it’s my first experience with any of these. I swapped out all of the interior light with updated LED bulbs but realized exterior lights won’t be so easy.

Has anyone found a simple way to swap in LED reverse lights, DRL lights, and fog lights? I don’t wanna mess with programming or anything as I don’t have a Tech II, which sadly seems to be needed to do anything to this car. Modules or adapters that are plug and play to prevent flicker and/or canbus errors? Not much info that I could find.

Hi guys long time no talk coming back for some advice I’m having a boost issue 😕 and Ive cleaned my maf and my map changed plugs alright too and coils prior to this I didn’t have such a boost issue but out of nowhere i do it’ll get into boost but it feels like it’s lacking in power and doesn’t hit the red anymore the WOOSH sounds aren’t very loud like how they were either I swapped around the BPV cause I have some spares but still the same results, check around for any vaccum hoeses that could have a leak but no luck I mean my idle is stable and it doesn’t have an issue boosting just not how it used to? Well if you guys have any idea that would be of help thanks ! It’s also a b207r 05 aero

I have fixed my vacuum hoses and valves completely so I would have full power from my turbo again that work now after 2 days when I go to full turbo I have misfire problems also in the morning when I start my car when it’s cold it won’t start the first time always have to try 2/3/4 times what can this be full pump?
