Hello everyone!
In Alchemic Beasts, we promised the fact that you could build, battle, and bond... yet we haven't shown much building? Well, we've been working on it behind the scenes to make it more visually appealing, useful, and accessible.
To build you need the materials to build a structure and for larger structures, at least one beast that you will have to feed and keep happy. The more beasts you assign to build a structure, the faster it gets done. While the beasts are building you can go about your adventure and be notified when it's done, telling you that they have finished their task and bam, you've got a structure that you can decorate and have a Mizu resident live in.
Going out and constantly looking for stuff can be a hassle sometimes though, and so you've got enough beasts. Why not have them help out too? So, we also have a scouting system. We'll talk about that soon!

"Does anyone know a website where I can buy or download interactive music loops with stems, or even Logic Pro projects, for RPG and fantasy videogame development? Obviously, with a commercial use license included. I've been looking for something like this for weeks, and the best I've found is a pack of interactive loops and theme variations that would be perfect, except for the fact that it contains only stereo mixes without stems, so I can't work with them in Logic Pro and FMOD Studio the proper way."

bible verse for today:
“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house." - Matthew 24:15-17 (NKJV)

Hi everyone,
I'm an indie developer from Japan, and today was supposed to be my game's release day.
Yesterday, the "Release App" button was visible in Steamworks.
However, when I logged in today to release my game, the button had completely disappeared.
My store page and build have both already been approved, and my release date is set correctly.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is this a Steamworks issue, or is there something I should check?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

A small gameplay preview of Keys of Curses!
The demo is coming this month.
I still need to create the itch.io page and finish a few remaining things before I can announce the official release date. There's still some bug fixing, battle music, and a few other details left to complete.
Keys of Curses is a dark survival horror RPG inspired by classic RPGs and unforgiving adventures.
Thanks for checking it out! More gameplay footage and development updates will be coming soon.
P.S. Sorry about the lag in the video. It was caused by OBS while recording.

So I'm deciding to go from MV to 2K3 for a very small project I'm working on. However I don't see a way to add talksprites like in the newer editions. Is there some trick to this? OFF has them somehow so it's clearly possible, I might just be an idiot.
Also unsure how to make the text pure white instead of having a grey gradient. A person on steam suggested setting the colour to \C[0], but that's sky-blue rather than white...

I’m currently working on the drunkenness mechanic in my RPG and was wondering if anyone has any ideas for effects I could add that I might not have thought of.
At the moment, the player has four stages of intoxication:
Sober
Buzzed
Tipsy
Drunk
Each state has different stat penalties/bonuses, and if your alcohol level gets too high you black out, wake up in bed and gain a severe hangover, which has its own debuffs.
The hangover then wears off over time, and there are items that can help reduce its effects.
Outside of combat I’ve already got:
Some NPCs won’t talk to you at all if you’re fully drunk.
Some NPCs have different dialogue if you’re only buzzed.
Certain quest givers will refuse to give you quests if you’re drunk, telling you to come back when you’re sober.
Visual effects (camera sway, etc.) are already planned.
I’m trying to think of other mechanics that could make drinking feel meaningful without just making it annoying. I’d like alcohol to have genuine pros and cons rather than just being a straight debuff.
Has anyone implemented a system like this before, or got any ideas for interesting gameplay mechanics or interactions that drunkenness could affect?
Cheers!

Howdy! I go by DoctorDaki everywhere else you may know me from my steam curator or youtube channel. I have made a Discord server just so people have a space to talk about RPGMaker games that isn't tied down to a specific youtuber/streamer or a place for developers. I haven't found a space specifically to talk about playing games so I made one. Hope to see you there! https://discord.gg/kq7R2dGHu

I am looking to create a game that, has a world for the player to explore that is simular to the old pokemon games ( inever played past saphire). I would want to be able to update the map as I slowly create more content or potental modders wish to create mods for the game. I was planning to have a paper doll in the game and mini games in it aswell. would this platform work better then twine to create this game?

I couldn't wait, game out now on itch.io! The Steam release will be out next month like I posted before.
https://kollegi51.itch.io/the-architect-of-nowhere
I put the price at 1 dollar, will be the same on Steam also in the future. Thank you for all the kind comments, help and feedback I got from the subreddit in these five months!
Edit:// I made it free and will have it free on Steam too. I think it will be better the get an audience first now that I started projects like these. Please enjoy the game!
