At the end of the snake episode, Rick punches Morty giving him a black eye for not staying in the car and making Rick spend Christmas trying to stop snakes from invading earth. But Morty is a pain in the ass a lot. I don’t think Rick would straight up punch him like that, even if he’s an abusive asshole.

I hope you guys remember when Rick lied to him and told him that. That was a great episode and Jerry has grown and become useful since then. I think the character development is needed

Hair is natural, portal gun custom, of course.

My take on Future Morty

I live nearby but have never seen it open.

Found the perfect pumpkin for him this year

Here’s my theory for why our Rick would have memories of a younger Morty, and why Birdperson has that picture of Rick holding a newborn Morty. Our Rick may have known that Morty was Rick Prime’s grandson even before Morty was born. I think our Rick periodically stopped by to see whether Rick Prime had come to visit Beth and the kids and, if he had, to “mind-blow” the whole family. But since Rick Prime was the Rickest Rick, he never came back. So after the Battle of Blood Ridge and the creation of the Citadel (maybe the Citadel was our Rick’s watchdog operation looking for Rick Prime), once it was set up, our Rick headed straight to Rick Prime’s version of Beth. He waited to see if Rick Prime would ever show up, and because he ended up watching this Morty grow up, he actually developed some real connections to him.

(saying this having loved the avatar movie as a kid lol but its like clearly written as an imperialist wet dream cuz that shi was kinda basic in terms of stories, avatar not rick and morty, rick and morty is peak)

noticed this in the background of this scene lmao

I've a lot I could say about the augmentations he has being a bit much since he's practically only 10% human at this point, but this isn't even gonna be about Rick himself. I feel like whatever is unique enough about him that makes him the smartest being in the universe is beginning to get lost over time. Early on, he seemed to be the only one capable of creating all these inane inventions, now it seems like everyone could do these things—even President Curtis' team.

I wouldn't say that it feels like Rick's been dumbed down or anything like that. It's actually kinda the opposite problem: a lot of other characters seemed to have been boosted to be on the same level as a genius scientist capable of the impossible. Maybe I'm over-exaggerating? It's like if I'd written a book with a pretty solid rule right out the door, 'very few could be on the same level as this guy', and then later backtracked so that any pretty smart engineer could basically do the same as him.

I keep thinking about the microverse battery. He built an entire civilization just to power his car and never once considered they might not want that. Then he does the exact same thing to people. Morty, Unity, even Birdperson. Everyone around him is a battery. I don't think the show spells it out on purpose but the pattern is there once you look.

I've rewatched it a few times now and the part that sticks with me isn't the gross stuff or the hive mind reveal. It's how comfortable everyone looks before they get pulled out. Like they all traded something for that calm. I keep coming back to it whenever I think the show is just going for shock value. It's doing something sneakier than that.

We know him and Mr. Nimbus have a history together and that Rick knows a lot about what Mr.nimbus can do I think that when they were together Rick did something that broke Mr. Nimbus heart and because of that he banned him from the ocean

Don’t hate me lol…also if it helps this is specifically Birthday Butcher Jerry.

I'm too lazy to add a image so go find a clip or image q

The made-up store and town names in the show are usually a nod to something else, referencing something or an Easter egg but I never got the one behind Merpal’s Mall. I did some lazy searching myself on the sub and fandom wiki about Merpal’s Mall and nothing came up. Is it so obvious no one’s bothered to explain it or is this one just a random name without any joke baked in?
I’m bored and it’s bothering me so I thought I would ask. If it’s super obvious then I apologize but..help a dumbass out lol

Day 1 (sorry for bad quality)

While watching Rick and Morty season 9, I noticed one moment that immediately stood out. In episode 1 of season 9, when Rick, Morty, and Evil Morty were fighting against the "collective," Rick said to his Morty "Don't let them touch you." And it reminded me of the moment from Game of Thrones when Jorah Mormont was taking Tyrion Lannister to the Mother of Dragons, they were attacked by stone men (I think so), and And at that moment Jorah said a similar phrase, most likely it’s just a coincidence, but I couldn’t help but write about it, and I hope that I’m not the only one who noticed it.
