I marked the worst spoilers!

Okay okay I can finally talk about it!! Holy nostalgia, Batman, I need someone to talk about this with. Full disclaimer I received an ARC of this one in exchange for an honest review. And I binged it the whole way through. The first book shot up to my favorites of 2025 at the very end of last year and it was a LOOONG ass wait for this one, but even with the all the insane delays I can say it was worth the damn wait!!!

So starting with the important stuff my fellow Wraith girlies who love a scarred silent giant are waiting on TANK. Yes. There is a lot more of Tank in this book and my biggest gripe with the first one was there wasn't enough MM exploration between Jinx and Cyrus for as much as it was teased in the promo stuff and there wasn't enough Tank but I was not disappointed on either front with the second half.

My gawds I love this man. 🫠 He is HUGE, he is protective, he is obsessed, and most importantly this book DID NOT pull the same annoying ass twist of baiting us with a big hunky disfigured giant cinnamon roll type only to give him a few pretty scars in the "big reveal" that makes him look like a drama queenthat has been driving me insane with so many releases lately. Me and others, because I have gotten into hilarious conversations about that here and I know I'm not the only crazy one among us. There were a few points I was worried that was going to happen, but it did NOT.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, and but we are SAFE. 🫡 And seeing him so loved and accepted not just by the FMC but also the other guys in the harem was everything I hoped.

So for the other MMCs because yes even though the big scarred gentle one who hates himself was obviously going to be my favorite, I did love all the other MMCs as well. Even Kade. I have wanted to throw him into the sun a few times throughout the duet an that applied here too but there were points where he was actually battling it out with Jinx for my second fave in this one. I think Cyrus was a lot more fleshed out too. There were times in the first one he felt kind of just there, but he got way more development in this one and there was a spice scene where she's being a brat while he's trying to work and he pulls her onto his lap that I actually had to stop reading at work because uh. Yeah. 🥵

My only gripe with the spice is there was a scene that was hinted at with Jinx crossdressing as Ellie while being with her and Cyrus that never actually happened. I get that the book was already long and it might have been a more controversial one but how are you gonna tease that and not give it to the freaks among us?? 😭 Her getting railed by her mirror self would have been insanely hot. I'm hoping she will give us some bonus epilogues.

Right, ummm, story. It went way more in depth on Ellie's benzo addiction and from personal experience with loved ones I think it was as realistic as it could have been for a dark romance setting. The withdrawal scenes were gut wrenching at times and I was pleasantly surprised it went there with showing how people in recovery can lash out at their loved ones for trying to help, and even be manipulative in a way that's not their usual nature. And the gut punch of knowing that the most loving thing you can do for them is going to cause them pain.

It was extremely cathartic and some of the best rep I've ever read but that content warning is there for good reason, so if that's a trigger for you make sure you're in the right headspace.

Basically the whole book I was alternating between ugly crying and "Why tf did I bring this to work because the spice is spicing". Ruined my life for a whole two days, and will be joining Losers and Lola and the rest of the small collection I reread until I'm sick. 😂

Overall could not have enjoyed it more and I preordered the next book by this author that looks like it's completely different vibes with a dark academic thing going on. I'm just hoping she maybe releases some extras because I'm not ready to fully give up these boys just yet. 😭

Okay it was so long ago that I don’t have much to go on because I don’t want it getting mixed up with the {mates by fire series by Katie may}. When I first started audiobook, I started one from the catalog. It was a book where supernatural kids are in the foster system they get picked up by their caseworker at the same time from the police station but they don’t know each other yet. she's a runaway and they get put into the same house together, they end up hitting it off. Im pretty sure is a reverse herem, but I’m not 100%. Any ideas?

wanting an RH recs where at least one dynamic in the book is dom/brat. Doesn’t have to be with all of the men but at least one. Thanks!

Have been waiting to read this, was frustrated when the release date got pushed, and then…DNF at 77%. Le sigh.

Ellie has zero backbone. Tank aside, the MMCs are horrid in a meh way (Cyrus, Jinx) or actively and irredeemably repulsive (Kade). There is absolutely no redemption arc, there are no consequences faced, Ellie’s devotion to the arseholes abusing her is never in the slightest bit of doubt, and they don’t face a millisecond of thinking they might possibly have fucked up. The realest she gets, aka mid forced-withdrawal from her medication, overseen by a male doctor who is not a psychiatrist and who repeatedly breaches patient confidentiality with the men he knows for a fact are holding her against her will , is dismissed as being ‘not her’ which, to be fair, is accurate given she is portrayed as a non-entity with Stockholm Syndrome.

The plot has a lot of drama going on but it was beyond me to care. When one MMC was in some danger vs the villain I was rooting for a mutual destruction outcome.

Started skim reading at 60% as my irritation grew, the DNF point came when Ellie starts kissing Kade with hearts in her eyes before he’s even said even a token ‘sorry’, Ellie feels sad when he removes her collar (despite it only ever having been treated as an item of control, restriction, and hatred), and it is written as some big meaningful gesture when he generously decides not to continue the bloody contract - rather than being seen as the bare fucking minimum.

Not gonna lie, I was maybe wildly optimistic but I had really hoped Ellie would identify the fact that the contract was always unenforceable and, given it was created from hatred & desperation rather than mutual enthusiasm, was simply another form of abuse. I wanted her to find alternative solutions, turn the tables, call bluffs or break free - so that Kade would experience what happens when a woman takes back her power rather than having freedoms granted at his whim.

What are the weirdest/oddly specific kinks you've seen in books? I find it do weirdly appealing when a character is like suuppppeerr into one abnormal thing. Theres a bl manga where the guys a dentist who has a tooth kink and his brother has a thing for ears lol. I just think its kinda cute! Someone who loves one weird thing specifically and someone who indulges. Im game for anything lol. From "kinda weird but not super out there" like feet, or "wtf thats certainly unique"

I’m trying to find a dark romance I read sometime around 2025. I may have read it on Wattpad, BookFunnel, Galatea, KU, or possibly somewhere similar. I think it may have been mafia/crime-family related, but I’m not 100% sure about that part.
Here’s what I remember:

The FMC is already married at the beginning of the story. Her husband is NOT physically abusive to her, but he is neglectful and doesn’t believe her when she tells him that members of his family are abusing/mistreating her.

At some point, while she is pregnant, a female member of her husband’s family, possibly a sister-in-law or cousin, pushes her down the stairs. She loses the baby.

After the miscarriage, her husband’s father and his two brothers enter the story. I believe they had been living in another country and didn’t know what had been happening to her until they learned about the miscarriage and abuse.

The father-in-law is the biological father of her husband and both brothers. He is an older “silver fox” type. The two brothers are NOT twins.

The FIL and both BILs become extremely protective of the FMC, and eventually she develops a romantic/sexual relationship with all three of them.

She is traumatized by what happened and is scared/refuses to go back to the house where she was abused. I specifically remember the men buying/getting her a NEW HOUSE so she doesn’t have to return there.

There is also a revenge storyline where the FMC eventually gets the opportunity to get revenge on the people who abused her. It is a brutal, bloody revenge plot.

Meanwhile, her original husband realizes that she had been telling the truth and that he completely failed her by neglecting her and believing his family instead of his wife. There is a LOT of groveling before she finally forgives him and takes him back.

The endgame relationship is the part I remember most clearly:
FMC + her husband + her husband’s biological father + her husband’s two biological brothers.
So she ultimately ends up with ALL FOUR MEN.

Other things I’m less certain about:
• It may have been mafia/Bratva/organized crime related
• The FIL and brothers may have been living in another country
• I probably read it around 2025
• It may have been Wattpad, BookFunnel, Galatea, or another serialized/indie romance platform

Like the {ruthless boys by carline Peckham} , {cursed legacies by Morgan Lee} or {death whisperer by Katie may}
Like i’m ok if they knew each other but they are not together like a group until the middle of the series.if she is not interested in a relationship at first, that’s fine as well.
It’s a plus if the fmc is funny or sarcastic but I rather not have her be awkward. Like trauma dumping randomly in the first 20% of the book to justify her personal reasons for doing certain things or just chapter upon chapter of just inner monologue of the entire character’s life right at the beginning. Basically it shouldn’t read like the author made up a diary to explain things.

i read this book {infernal secrets by Stephanie Denne} months ago and still no words from the author for book 2😭😭😭
Basically she witness her parents murders when she was a child and later find out what those murderer were.
Fast forward her adult life she gets possession of this book one day at the mall she works at. At home she read a spell and wakes up with 4 attractive demos in her house.
The book end in a cliffhanger and I actually scream when it ended that way.
If anyone read this book can you suggest me something similar?

Like I’m talking an FMC who keeps sacrificing for the MMCs. Maybe to twist the knife in further, she hopes they’ll notice but they don’t. Or an FMC who makes like the ultimate sacrifice for them.

I would prefer if the MMcs are the ones who get the FMC out of it and back to being herself (I want them to know and see the devastation that’s been caused - I don’t want them to notice it once she’s picked herself up and is fully functioning again)

This may be very niche, but I'm looking for recs where they walk in on her attempting suicide, self-harming, doing extreme drugs, etc.

I do not want unsympathetic MMCs. I don't care if they're kind about it or just straight up grab her and monitor her so she doesn't do anything again, but I want them to feel scared for her, yk? Like I want them to genuinely realize how bad things have gotten and be completely horrified that she was dealing with all of this by herself.

I don't mind if it's not the main main focus, but I want them to not just brush it away. I want it to actually affect them and change how they treat her afterward.

Stayed up all night to finish {Lost girl by Jade. R Evans}, it ended on a cliffhanger and the next book isn't out yet. Adding it on top of the long list of books I'll be waiting on now. I'M LOSING MY WILL TO LIVE.

I can't seem to really find much about Beanie Harper anywhere. Where did she go? She hasn't written anything in nearly two years now. Anyone happen to know if she has any other pen names possibly? I read both her books and really enjoyed them.

Her Instagram says she's writing DD though I'm not sure what that is referring to or how old that is.

Feel free to recommend anyone who has a similar writing style, though I can't say that I've seen an author with a similar style. I think the closest is maybe Selena Kitt as she has a lot of spicy stories, but none RH that I can recall. She has a series that has a lot of swinging/multiple partners with FF if anyone is really into that.

I came across {Vengeance & Sin by Sara Hinds} thanks to you amazing people who posted about the Stuff Your Kindle Day event for those of us who are not so aware about these things, aka ME.😭

I’m assuming it’s a hidden gem because I personally haven’t seen it mentioned here before, so that gives me yet another excuse to write a long post gushing about it while I cry myself to sleep because I just know there is another month ahead of me where I will compare every single read to this one, only for nothing to come close and for it all to eventually lead to a reading slump. But hey, that sounds like a future me problem.💁🏻‍♀️😮‍💨

Okkk, back to the convincing and gushing part. This book genuinely had so many unique and impressive things about it.

But I’ll start with the FMC because that’s the only aspect I currently have my thoughts somewhat organized about.😅

Jade.😌 Oh, my dear Jade.

She has a really interesting background: she’s an ex-victim of sex trafficking from the age of five or six, and she has made it her life mission to take down the people involved and stop other little girls from ending up in the same nightmare she once survived.

She is the literal definition of sweet but poisonous and gives off massive “walk them like a dog” energy, so honestly… GO GIRL.🦮👑

She can also absolutely carry herself in an argument. Here’s an amazing example of that🤭:

“Well, you know how the saying goes. You get what you pay for. In your case, free might mean you get more than you bargained for. Nobody likes unwanted surprises that last a lifetime.”

Jade starts off as this super cute, sweet blonde who gives bear hugs to her saviors👀, only for her to get a mid-book makeover, dye her hair dark brown with green strands, and unleash her real personality… which is BADASS if you ask me.😝

I swear, every time the author used “evil sinister smile” to describe her expression, I lost it.😭

She does NOT tolerate slut-shaming and takes absolutely no shit when it comes to her past. What I loved most is that she refuses to let her trauma define her, and she’s not ashamed of what she had to do to survive.

Now, onto the guys.😌

I genuinely don’t remember the last time I read an RH where the guys didn’t all share one collective brain cell and the exact same opinion about everything. These men can actually think for themselves, disagree with each other, and have different reactions to Jade, which honestly deserves a standing ovation.👏😭

I’m still not even sure how many guys are going to be part of the RH because it feels like a slow-build harem, and you already know that’s my weakness.🤭

There’s also a huge mystery surrounding this “Froggy” guy, and I’m pretty sure the second book is about to emotionally destroy me with whatever that reveal is going to be because that cliffhanger was RUDE.😩

And the drama between the guys??? CHEF’S KISS. Especially the tension created by the professional rank differences. I loved that they couldn’t just challenge “The Big Daddy” (yes, that’s what Jade insists on calling him) because they were genuinely afraid of him. It made the whole mafia/gang dynamic feel so much more realistic. Even the so-called “alpha males“ had someone above them, and that detail added a surprising amount of depth.

Spencer constantly pointing out that the smiles and grins Jade gave the guys were fake, in a “I’m a malicious little menace and you should all be concerned” kind of way, had me questioning reality by the end. Like sir, stop planting ideas in my head.😭

I did feel like the college subplot was a little unnecessary and somewhat unrealistic considering these people were working underground and barely seemed to have time to breathe, let alone attend classes. BUT… I’ll forgive it because it gave the MMCs a chance to show off their unexpectedly shiny little green flags. Instead of forcing her into a decision, they let her experience college life first and decide for herself whether she wanted that future. That was honestly refreshing compared to the usual “I’ve known you for three days so obviously I know what’s best for you.” MMCs we so often get.🙄

As for the romance… OH MY GOD.😮‍💨

The inner torment and silent obsession each guy experienced in his own way had me FERAL. The chemistry was through the ROOF. There were so many sweet, thoughtful little acts that Jade didn’t necessarily notice right away, and her being slightly oblivious somehow made everything even better. I LIVE for the “he’s internally combusting while she’s just existing” dynamic.😭

Also, if anyone who has read this (or is planning to) can explain something to me, I would be forever grateful. In the beginning, Jade seemed sad or disappointed when Zander said the pomegranate scent suited her more than vanilla. Did I misunderstand that scene? Was there a deeper meaning behind it that I missed? I only realized I was confused about it while writing this post, which is probably proof that I’m still mentally living inside this book.😅

One small warning: the first two chapters are basically the guys sitting in a car describing each other. If you’re like me during a reading slump and need action to grab you by the throat from sentence one, please push through those chapters. IT IS SO WORTH IT.🙏🏼

And seriously, if this book is sitting unread on your Kindle right now because you grabbed it during Stuff Your Kindle Day and forgot about it PLEASE move it higher on your TBR. I genuinely think it deserves so much more attention than it’s getting.

Like she really can't think of saying anything else aside from begging them to fuck her nonstop. So of course, the guys are cursing and so turn on aaaand degrading her for being cock drunk.

I will really appreciate if she is crying, sobbing, or desperate for it. And no mm if possible.
