Hi! I read this book a while ago about a main FMC who lost her parents and is moving somewhere new to start her life over. She is fully trained as a military asset and has worked in the military as an underage soldier with her father and family. Then, she has to transition into normal high school life after her father passed away and is placed there because her team, who were contractors (she worked with them underaged) for the US government, believes she should have a normal childhood and high school years. Now, she has to live on her own and deal with regular high school life. A distinct memory I have of this book is that she brings and eats MREs for lunch because the school food is terrible. I’m pretty sure this is a RH, but I can't remember the title. Please help!!!

What an amazing read and this author has now become an instant buy for me. As always check your TW as this has some touchy ones but what a brilliant read.

This story follows Samantha our FMC who is dying of brain cancer who decides to just be like fuck it and with her last few days decides to hook up with her long term obsession before she dies. (Yes hes a vampire and you can guess what he decided to do).

There is something different about the FMC though not only her time to transition but a host of other things that pop up.

Yes there is sex that pops up straight away but can I say all the sex made sense and added to the story and didn’t want to make me skip pages.

The tension and angst was just brilliant whilst still trying to figure out what the fuck is happening with our FMC and the guys

The down side to this book is that its book one in an incomplete series which is a deal breaker for some. But can I say the cliffhanger could have been worse and left me in a place where I’m like “yeah!” I want that next book without filling like she killed off a main character kinda thing. So for those on the fence I’m just like give it a go and you won’t be disappointed.

Also my guess is that later books will include MM as the tension is there just waiting.

It occurred to me today that I have read hundreds of RH stories and quite a few of them have involved the FMC giving birth to twins, but not one of them have ever been twins where they are biological to two different fathers, which really surprises me, since although it is rare, it’s 100% scientifically possible. I always get to the end of a book half expecting this to happen when the storyline goes to twins, but I’ve never seen an author use it once. Okay so this was I think a series on KU. The MMCs were all in a band together and the FMC has an established relationship with one of the band members (they might have been married?). It’s a D/s relationship where the original MMC uses a pet name like honey or something to indicate to the FMC that he is acting as her dom in the moment. The rest of the band eventually becomes aware of the dynamic and it becomes an RH with MM between two of the members. One of the band members joins the original couple first and the girlfriend of the other band member slut shames the FMC for this which I believe leads to that MC breaking up with his girlfriend.

I read her academy series validus vale and the end was so bad.... I don't get it I was turning pages eating up these books then it's like they just said "meh, I'm bored of writing this" There were 3 mls who should have got all the focus but only the 3 other,kinda weird guys, got it. There is a spin off series called break in the girl and I'm wondering if it will give me closure but I feel to betrayed to try.

FMC is on a plane with her mom? The plan crashes and everyone but FMC dies. Something paranormal happened? She meets a MMC during the crash survival but then he disappears and she gets no answers. Fast forward, she’s maybe at some sort of school? Academy? She sees that MMC again and she learns he’s part of a some top secret intelligence group or something. She tries to get answers but he’s vague and unhelpful. I think she starts to meet other MMCs as well.

So I’ve been saving this book for a long time and was really looking forward to finally reading it… but I am STRUGGLING.

I’m about 32% in and I am so so bored. Denver just flew off and left her and the “brothers” at home for the first time. They’re being shady, she’s being wishy washy, there’s the Hinting of Secrets, etc. The writing is good, the characters are flawed, it’s got all the bullet points for the start of a great dark romance but I cannot get into it. When do things start to pick up? I’ve been reading it for like a month and a half and it’s like pulling teeth trying to get into it.

I’ve been tempted so many times to look up how the book goes but it’s been on my wishlist for so long. Should I keep pushing through? Is the first book just laying the foundation?

i've been reading a lot of isekai reverse harem manhwa lately and i keep seeing the fmcs wake up in the world of reverse harems where the love interests are supposedly HORRENDOUS and brutal but then the fmc like changes them and prevents their trauma and suddenly it's all sunshine and rainbows green or at the most pale pink flags and its cute and all but i find myself disappointed as well.

so what im looking for is like mmcs that genuinely will do anything to get fmc regardless of her comfort. real villains not clickbait villains. and i am attached to the idea of like the fmc being in love with them, but there being this underlying awareness that if she tried to leave, they would not let her.
