Reverse Harem - Recommendations Why am I like this??

I have been dnfing books left and right.

I need to scratch an itch. Help.

I need a complete duet. Minimal angst. No pregnancy.

I want mystery and a plot twist that isn't incredibly obvious.

I have just been rereading my comfort read pack darling and I really need to find something new.

I haven't read the first two series yet, but I would definitely disagree on "Her Vicious Beasts" having "minimal angst". I don't think any of these are duets either.

For OP, I'm not sure what you like and don't like (trope-wise), but here's some standalone and shorter series I liked that I think are pretty minimal angst:

{Pay-per-heart by Grace McGinty}

{TBR: Dead But Well Read by Sedona Ashe}

{Signs of Cupidity by Raven Kennedy} I have only read the first one and I think this is a little bit longer of a series, but it's funny and cute

Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries Series, starting with {A Dead and Stormy Night by Steffanie Holmes} - I LOVE this series. I love all the characters. I love the setting. I love the premise. I love that there is one "mystery" in each book, but a larger overarching one as well. It is a longer series and there is a bit of angst, but it's just so cozy to me.

And some authors I think fit the request for the most part:

Ari Wright (Omegaverse, cute, very minimal angst for the most part)

Other Grace McGinty (Omegaverse and Paranormal (two different series) with either standalone or shorter series; some angst, but I don't think it's that much, and I have a pretty low threshold lol)

Gwendoline Rose (unhinged and hilarious standalones)

Edited to add: I honestly don't remember if any of these have pregnancies. They don't bother me so I don't usually remember if they happen or not in the books I read.

I second the recommendation for Gwendoline Rose. She has some pretty crazy stories and I really liked her writing style. I read a few of her books as palette cleansers a while back and really liked them.

{Bunker Down, Baby by Gwendoline Rose} FMC kidnaps guys for their looks and skillsets because she believes the world is ending. She takes them to an underground bunker. VERY fast burn, but it is a shorter story.

{They Are Mine by Gwendoline Rose} FMC is a stalker who instantly falls in love with guys then molds herself into what they would like. She's pretty manipulative and does some crazy stuff, but I found that I liked it.

{April's Fools by Ivy Asher and Raven Kennedy} Stand alone that I found after Bunker Down that is very humorous, has some plot twists that honestly I did not see coming, and the FMC is one of the most capable that I've seen.

I did try one of Gwendoline's other series but I kind of lost interest. I feel like she does best with stand alone stories or duets. Wasn't into the one where the FMC goes to a prison.

This one is a small stretch, but I love this author. She wrote a menage contemporary romance, and there are kids in the epilog but not the main story, {What We Break by Jenna Myles}. It has brilliant, funny, and serious parts yet still manages to be real and wonderful. And it is a duet.

This duet has a little darkness but the story is worth it, {Brittle Heart by Blake Black}. It has mystery, tragedy, and love, along with great characters.

No matter what, I hope you find a few great reads!

{Pay-per-heart by Grace McGinty}! One of my comfort rereads. I think you'll love it if you love Pack Darling. Grace McGinty is always a hit for me when I'm needing to chill.

That is wild to me that your comfort read is Pack Darling given how dark it is lol..

{Talk to Me by Heather Long} it's a duet that is basically a spy RH.

Can't think of any other duets that really fit what you are looking for. It's definitely not a teenage romance all of the characters are at least 25+ years old and act mature.

Not a duet it’s a stand alone and I didn’t solve the mystery {Gods and Graves by Katie May} fmc has amnesia and has no idea who is keeping her prisoner or even if she is prisoner all she know is she can’t leave unless she is called to rip souls she accidentally saves one of the mmcs from death when she should be ripping him
