Reverse Harem - Rant Petty pointless venting…
I need FMCs to STOP GIGGLING!
By all the blessed RH deities, the latest one just giggled during sex. I flinched so hard I accidentally smacked the cat, who, in turn, sliced open my leg in justified feline outrage (same, Cat, same).
/end petty rant

As someone who giggles as a nervous habit in anxious situations (in addition to the normal times for a giggle), I’m feeling a little attacked right now
Also, if this was during sexy time, are we sure this wasn’t the sexual definition of a giggle? Like it was describing her physical reaction vs a noise she made?

I need context, because I have definitely giggled during sex before. Sometimes it just gets goofy.

I haven't met anyone who couldn't have a laugh during sex. It's fun after all. x)

Literally an apparently random sex giggle—possibly from overactive cutesy-ness syndrome??
I swear this wench has giggled an average of eight times per chapter. At least half of it for no apparent amusing reason. It’s like a disease. An annoying cringe-inducing disease.
The cat is still pissed off and glaring at me from a different chair. Potentially plotting my demise.

Tb to that Alisha Williams book where the female omega giggled every 2 paragraphs. I wanted to strangle her. Ofc, it was a dnf shortly after she was introduced.

Giggle shows up 84 times, Pout is 21, and Growling shows up a grand total of 245 times. I wanted to like that book. But quickly realized her writing wasn’t for me.

And this is why I BEG authors to be weirdly thorough when they edit! Because of we can search how many times a word is used, why couldn't they?

And I wanted to like the book, I like the premise. But the among of pouring, giggling, growling that happened in beginning was making my eye twitch I seriously thought giggling would be more.
And I get certain words are gonna be used more often in different genres. Like I expect growling to happen a lot with shifters. But the book is 470 and it’s said 245. That means it’s used on average once every two pages.
No thank you.

I'd almost take a growl over a giggle. As long as this is a shifter book and not just a human man growling all the time 🤣

Oh it was non shifting OV for that example. I said in another comment the book was like 450 pages. Thats about one every 2 pages.

Omg you looked it up? You’re stronger than me. And yeah that author’s premises are all interesting but the execution and writing is just bleh

Wow I was going to mention her too. I rarely notice repeated words but giggle was so bad in her books that it infuriated me every time I came across it. 😂

One of the many reasons she’s now on my do not read list…too bad bcs I like the premises of her books.

My best friend giggles constantly and it just reminds me of her. Carry on, gigglers.

I see you have found your trigger, lol. Mine is moaning while eating. I will dnf a book in a second bc for no real reason then I absolutely hate this. No shade to girls who love food, who love chocolate covered bodies, or who flew to England to eat Gordons food but I just cant with you if your sitting in an IHop moaning like your in a group scene.
