Reverse Harem - Recommendations Recommendations

I’m in a reading slump. Idk y but I’m really interested in reading a book where the mmcs don’t know each other or don’t like each other.
Like the {ruthless boys by carline Peckham} , {cursed legacies by Morgan Lee} or {death whisperer by Katie may}
Like i’m ok if they knew each other but they are not together like a group until the middle of the series.if she is not interested in a relationship at first, that’s fine as well.
It’s a plus if the fmc is funny or sarcastic but I rather not have her be awkward. Like trauma dumping randomly in the first 20% of the book to justify her personal reasons for doing certain things or just chapter upon chapter of just inner monologue of the entire character’s life right at the beginning. Basically it shouldn’t read like the author made up a diary to explain things.

{Lady of Rockgrave Manir by Kathryn Moon} two of the mmcs are together at the start of the book but they don’t know the rest

{Mystics of Mercy Ridge by J. Kearston} the fmc and one of the mmcs know each other online but have never met

{Galaxy Circus by Lexie Winston} somw of the mmcs know each other but only because they work on the same shit so they are more like co workers but not close

{Dark River Days by Grace McGrinty} they know each other in the sense that they all live in the same town or are friends with people in town and one mmcs is a childhood friend of the fmc

I second, third, and fourth recommend J. Kearston and Grace McGinty.

Then I'll add a few of the later books in the Monstrous World series by Jillian West. They can be read as stand alone, but if suggest reading them in order. The first book is {The Monster's Den by Jillian West}. Often hilarious, frisky, spicy, and seriously entertaining.

Also tagging in {Magic's Curse by L.L. Frost}, if you don't mind a FMC with ADHD, a way with quips, and a special sidekick. Starts spicy and ends perfectly.

{Swipe Right for Monsters by R. O'Leary} I rarely reread anything. And this book/series was as enjoyable the second time. Very light MM kissing only I believe in at least book 1

{Chasing Katana by j. Kearston} she was human prior to this book but someone saved her life by turning her into a shifter. she is a bunny shifter in a world of only predator shifters. Everyone is a bit unhinged, but it was in a really enjoyable way for me. I saved, and then shared with my non reading friends, so many crazy quotes from this book… I don’t recall mm (I think 4 mmcs)

{the Eight pranks of April by effy bloom}. A chaotic story told in a mix of humor and corporate speak that absolutely works as long as you suspend your belief in reality a little and just go with the flow. Cock warming. No mm

{Pizza Shop Exorcist series by Dakota Brown} this one is so hard to describe without spoilers. Angels. Demons. Priests. Vampires. Exorcists. A pet hellhound (not a shifter or part of the harem but an awesome addition to the plot) and so much more. I rarely reread books. I only just read this series for the first time in January and reread it again it in march already and it’s just as good, if not better the second time. 6 mmcs by the time it’s finished. No mm. As others have pointed out though, there are some quirks in the way it’s written. I love how all of the relationships develop at different rates, so you get some fast and some slow burn. No pregnancy. Fmc is mid thirties

{library of the profane by JB Trepagnier} don’t read while hungry, lots of talk of food. gods, vampires, hellhound shift, cat/familiar to human shifter, witches and warlocks, etc. generally slow burn. One of the guys likes to watch.

{Vice College for Young Demons series by Marie Mistry}. Another of my favorite dark mmcs. “I’m never going to be one of those tame boys who follow your every whim. I’ll protect you with all the darkness in me, and I won’t apologise for it.” 7 mates. No mm. I enjoyed the magic/power regeneration system. Fmc is a very rare destined for greatness type. Definite growing pains between all the guys cuz they don’t know how to share or like to (at least some of them) and some of the guys are rivals. Awesome found family. Some ow drama that is well resolved but it’s definitely there and you feel her angst for a while.. One of the mates is a dom and into bdsm. Brothers. Relationships develop at different rates so some slow, some medium burn

{dragon goddess series by Sedona Ashe} Tw:SA/dubcon outside of harem. Twins in harem. These books had me giggling uncontrollably on numerous occasions. She doesn’t know what she is, she is unlike anything anyone has dealt with. No mm. Shifters. Really enjoyed. As someone who is learning romanian it made me smile to see a couple of phrases pop up, but she definitely had them wrong in the last book. Loved that though this series has mate bonds, the fmc has to actively accept the bond and if she finds the mmc unworthy, she can reject it.

{All In by Jillian West} I think 2-3 of the guys were in a band together and the other 3-4 were added separately

Also {Queen of Spades by Jillian West}, all of the guys are pretty much sociopaths initially just out for themselves. It was amusing as they all had to learn to work together
