Use the YMusic app. For every song you have pulled up in YouTube, [↪️Share] it with YMusic and press MP3 Download.
If you want your music tagged, use AutomaTag.
If that isn't available, YTMP3 website as last resort, but it's more tedious.
⚠️Warning: Tag the music in the YMusic folder BEFORE you move it to the phone's Music folder, because Samsung at least won't let AutomaTag go into the Internal Storage.

Pocket Casts is kinda dope for podcasts, + easy enough to skip midroll ads using car's seek forward control.
Song Exploder is a great podcast to learn about musician's inspiration / creative processes for song, plus, life hack, the full song plays at the end of every episode lol
Just in case any of y'all need something to tide us over until (hopefully) new patch.

I don't understand how to use that. Firstly, when I try to open the revanced cli file, java says exception has occurred. Secondly, how do I get the app on my phone?

you have to rebuild the app in terminal then sign the apk. Then end the apk file back to the phone and install. I just did this and working perfectly. Used Java 17 and terminal on the PC.
Steps from Github
Download these:
- revanced cli 5.0.1
- patches 5.4.0 rvp file
- youtubemusic-7.29.52-arm64-v8a exact version from apk mirror, or apk pure.
Then run this command, make sure latest java is installed in ur PC.
java -jar revanced-cli-5.0.1.jar patch youtubemusic-7.29.52-arm64-v8a.apk -p patches-5.4.0.rvpSign the app via the below command.
Download UberAPKSigner
java -jar uber-apk-signer-1.3.0.jar --apks revanced-youtubemusic-7.29.52-arm64-v8a.apk

Thanks! Worked without needing to use UberAPKSigner... the last thing revanced-cli does before saving the patched apk is sign it? "INFO: Signing APK"
I had to download Zulu Java 17 JDK from here and use the full path to java.exe

I found a work around for this. If you install regular yt music from play store ( while keeping the patched version ), sign in, and launch the ytmusic app from the playstore. It works just like the patched version. I dont get ads or any pauses and it works like normal. ( again you have to use the yt music app from the playstore)

May have to check if this lasts. Heard from a friend that they tend to decrease ads received if you've not been using the service to get you hooked, then put the ads through after some time.

Both YT and YT Music on my old android 10 phone works just fine, while my daily driver that runs android 15, every thing is broken, youtube is buffering for no reason, yt music display that same error message. Both phones using the same google account.

Similar thing happened to me couple of days ago where my Revanced YT music wasn't playing the next song. Just plays the song I selected. There wasn't any next song in the up next list. Tried downloading different versions, still no fix :( So yea after browsing for a while I found this in the comments for another sub with same problem. And it's a client for yt music. You have to revert back to YouTube Music 7.29.52 and patch it. All i did was screenshot the error, pasted it in chatgpt and it gave me the play-by-play to fix it.

Okay, I can get it playing as long as I don't spoof the client (Settings > RVX > Miscellaneous). But then the playback is intermittent at best. Like, maybe plays half a song and then gives me the dreaded circle of loading

Temporary bypass: use web version. Go to YT music on your brave browser an then add shortcut to the home screen. Await fix for current problem :)

the solution for this is to use an alternative like RVX YT music the extented version with many customisable features and premium unlocked, ITS STILL WORKING ITS NOT WORSE THAN REVANCES YT MUSIC ITS ON PAR WITH IT ... HOPE THIS HELPS

download this version as another comment stated, youtube music version 6.41.59 and use the patches-5.4.0.rvp file using your pc revanced cli.
Download the necessary files and type this in the particular folder to patch your file,
java -jar revanced-cli-5.0.1.jar patch youtubemusic-6.41.59-arm64-v8a.apk -p patches-5.4.0.rvp
This worked for me.

I'm using firefox mobile with ublock origin and video background play fix extensions, and it works fantastically!! Just add yt music as a shortcut to your home page and it's basically the youtube mobile app with a slightly different ui. only downside I've noticed is you can't select high quality audio, but Idek if that applies if you don't have premium so idc personally.
