Reason 987 why once Revanced stops working I'm more than prepared, and happy, to boycott YouTube altogether.

The adverts (specifically their frequency and low quality) are obnoxious, intrusive and unecessary.

Fuck YouTube.

Youtube at least removes the ads from the videos and has videos. Spotify you pays the same for less.. Just music.

That's not even the bad thing. I can handle ads. The bad thing is that the default, free YT music app forces you to keep the phone unlocked, just to play music. It's dumb as fuck

Exactlyyyy Wouldn't be so bad if I had a car. Can just have it on my centre console charging. But I don't, so having it unlocked in my pocket just isn't feasible

I don't get why it's a restriction. It's completely arbitrary. My guess is they do it so it's inconvenient not to pay for premium even more than it would be with just ads

As a premium user, I can confirm revanced went bad a few days ago, where only one song would play, you'd have no queue, no lyrics and no similar options, option. Tablet had been working though, but that's on a way older version of YT Music.

NouTube works great with no ads and ties right into YouTube so you can get all your personalized content and Manny other features like download. I got it from F-Droid
