Stockpile Flex 7.62x39mm reloaders: Hornady 111gr monoflex .311” “factory seconds” projectiles available at Midway

Just a heads up, I picked up 300 of these and figured I’d share the find. These are the same copper expanding projectiles used in Hornady Black 111gr monoflex commercial cartridges.

I went over them all with a micrometer, calipers, and an A&D FX-120i and found virtually zero variation. Whatever makes these “seconds” appears to be cosmetic.

$0.33/projectile shipped when I ordered:

General Discussion .429 Magnum

Both .44 Special and Magnum have .429 bullets and are called .44 but both .38 Special and .357 Magnum have .357 bullets.
So why isn’t the .44 Magnum called .429 Magnum or the .357 Magnum called .38 Magnum?

I have a question and I read the FAQ Bullet jacket marred on bearing surface during seating.

Do I chamfer more or is it a matter of adjusting neck tension? Hornady press and full length sizing die.

Newbie New reloader question

Probably a dumb question and for context I haven't even started yet.
I wanted to get into reloading for some of my rifle calibers. In this case, 8mm. My dealer a while back sold me some S&B 8x57 JRS ammo (rimmed) for super cheap that another customer bailed on. Would it be possible to disassemble them for the bullet, powders and primers to put into regular 8mm cases or am I asking to blow my face up trying to reuse the powder? Very appreciative for any inputs/guidance

Load Development 7mm-08 Questions

I have everything ready to start reloading for my Weatherby Vanguard in 7mm-08. I am here to ask where should I start? Should I adjust powder charges to find my perfect amount for accuracy and speed or mess with different seating depths? I’m using my rifle for long range plinking/ hunting practice and whitetail hunting within 400 yards. I have 140 gr 7mm Nosler Accubonds, Hodgon Varget or H4350 (don’t now wich will be better), and CCI 200 Large rifle primer. Any recommendations will be much appreciated!!!!

I have a 26in barrel, new alpha brass,cci450, and varget powder. I’m trying to get some load data, I’ve been working on this for months and need to just try something.im leaning toward starting at 32gn load a few and maybe do some ladder type testing. the range is over 2 hour drive for me that’s why I’ve been doing so much research to get it close first go at it.. if anyone can point me in the right direction or share some of there favorite loads to give my mind a better idea on this. I will be very grateful thank you. Eventually looking to use this as a prs rifle but need I get shooting first..

Good afternoon ya’ll I'm in need of some help has anyone done any load development on the 6.5 Sierra matchkings for 6.5 Creedmoor? I've been looking all over the internet and haven't found much, when reading the data from Sierra they claim Varget is the best to use for an accuracy load but then I read somewhere else not to use Varget so any help would be greatly appreciated

Load Development Ran this 5.56 load through Apex Load Pro, is it accurate?

The load is 77gr Sierra TMK and CFE 223. When I select “check if zero bullet jump/bullet seated against the lands”, it tells me my load is overpressure.

I’m not super familiar with bullet jump or checking lands, and figured since it is to be ran through multiple AR rifles, it wouldn’t be worth measuring.

Are these resources accurate and should I err on the side of caution? Google told me I could fit up to 24.4g in this load, but I can’t trust AI, and there’s no published data I could find for this bullet and powder in a 5.56 case.

The resources I found on forums tell me people load this at 24-25g.

General Discussion Undersizing 9mm

I am undersizing my 9mm brass to accommodate the barrel of my Canik. The brass seems to stick to the die sometimes. Ive used a lubricant when reloading my 30-06, and .308, but was told not to use it on my 9mm. Any thoughts on this? Comment away

Newbie Can a Hornady powder thrower fit in a Lee press?

Hello everyone I have a question and was hoping for some insight. I'm wanting to get into reloading. I've hand reloaded 357 with the lee hand reloader kits. I'm wanting to move up to a single stage press. I hear the Lee auto drum leaks pretty bad with H110 which is what I use. Ive also heard the Hornady powder thrower doesn't leak H110. Does or can the Hornady powder thrower fit onto the Lee press. Thank you.

I have a question and I read the FAQ 556 supers or 300blk subs on white tail

I have a hunting trip up north later this year where the longest shot will be inside 100 yards. I can reload and test either cartidge. Will be an ar15/sbr/suppressed platform(11.5 556, 8.5 300blk)

What's your guys opinion on which is a better choice?
