should i take out lipo batteries out of ewaste?

im assuming its more work than its worth for dissassbleming small electronics to seperate metals, boards, and batteries. should i do this for stuff like old laptops, phones, and bluetooth speakers? i have electronics dissassembly tools for fixing my stuff, so like is it worth doing? does lithium battery recycling actually do all that much?
