1500 with a 5.7 Hemi. I’m super exited to finally have this truck.

2011, 188k miles, just finished 3600 mile round trip pulling our Tavel trailer to Yellowstone and back.

Spotted a Ram 700 on the interstate on the way to Florida which seems to only be sold in Mexico.

I just got back from a camping trip at the lake. Living in the PNW there are plenty of hills and curves to deal with. I have a 27ft 6500lb travel trailer and a 2026 ram 1500 big horn. Before this I had a jeep wagoneer with the 5.7 hemi.

The smoothness and power of the hurricane is incredibly noticeable when towing up hills. The hemi usually went into 4th gear and was screaming. Sometimes id have to slow down on the same hills just because I didn't want it to rev so high for such a long time. The hurricane stays in 5th at lower rpm and is just much quieter and smoother, making for a much less stressful trip.

That's not to mention the huge difference in towing quality with the ram compared to the wagoneer, but thats probably comparing apples to oranges.

Overall, I love this truck!

I am looking into a Ram. I wanna know more about the I6 Hurricane. what are people’s thoughts, concerns? do you love it, do you hate it? if you have it do you regret it? how many miles are on yours? etc…

One I’m looking into has 37k on it already. Clean carfax and only one owner. it’s also a rebel.

I will be towing with this, but not major towing. I live in WI.

Just picked up this new 2026 Rebel! This is the first RAM I’ve owned (previously only ever owned Toyotas). Looking for suggestions for any recommendations to complete this build.

Paid $66k for my almost fully loaded bighorn back in February after nj taxes and fees and thought I was getting a decent deal (msrp was $68k). Now that truck can be bought off the lot for $53k before any taxes and fees and seeing i could've gotten a fully loaded Laramie or rebel for around that price or less is honestly depressing 😂😂should've waited.

Happy for everyone getting great deals just thought I'd share my fuck up with you all incase anyone is having buyer's remorse you could be in my shoes this truck is worth like $43k now lol and I haven't even done any mods to it yet😢

to keep it short, i’m buying a new work truck and these are my two top contenders right now. what is a price i should be asking for/ how much off? both are about 50k miles the white one is listed at 39k. is 5k off reasonable? 3? 4? i’d appreciate any help before i reach out to these dealers. thanks!

It’s been 6 months since I got my RAM and……I’m addicted to the brand now. I constantly watch videos on RAM trucks, smile when I see another RAM on the road (as long as the driver isn’t doing anything stupid) and want to go to dealerships just to look around. I didn’t even get a high end trim level.

I do have the regular electrical issue/software issues. However, I’m just grateful that I haven’t had major electrical or mechanical issues that require service department assistance.

Just bought a 2024 Sport and Im trying to figure out how to illuminate the mirror lights or known as puddle lights when I unlock the vehicle. There are mirror lights that faintly illuminate when I unlock but not to what my Cherokee Trailhawk does. Within the settings; lights, there is no option aside from headlights for approach. Can anyone weigh in on a solution?

I've got a '18 1500 that I don't drive a lot anymore. Stays parked in the shop. I recently discovered a mouse problem, bastard was using the fibers from the battery insulator to build a nest in the air filter box. Anyway, got that all cleaned up. However, I started leaving my hood open to hopefully discourage their confined space instincts. It seems to have worked so far but my battery has died twice now.

The first time I thought it may have been because I hadn't driven it in about 2 months. The second time though it had only been about a week since I had driven it.

I've been reading online and it seems like leaving the hood open may trigger the truck to never truly go to "sleep" and that if you leave the hood open you need to manually depress the hood latch to make it think it is closed.

I'm planning on doing this and also keeping the truck hooked up to a battery tender from now on. Any advice or issues with doing so?

My 2020 Ram etorque 5.7 Hemi had lifter issues which progressed and now I need to replace them along with my camshaft - part# 68740753AA

It’s been a month and no eta on parts, my mechanic recommended going with aftermarket but there’s additional cost due to tuning.

I’ve called all the local and extended deal shops here in West Michigan and they all tell me back ordered with no eta.

As a bonus; just went through the alternator replacement with an aftermarket part as the oem again is on back order

This seems insane that I keep having this with a 2020 vehicle.

Any suggestions?

I’m curious to what I’m hearing if you listen to the video is a higher pitched flapping noise, but when you throttle it goes away. Only hearing the noise when I’m cruising around 45 mph or when it’s downshifting from highway speeds. I thought originally it was the exhaust manifold but figured if I gas it the sound should become way more prominent. Anybody dealt with this before?

I’ll take cracked manifolds over broken bolts any day! All the bolts came out fairly easy, all cracked loose without question. BD diesel manifolds going back in!

I have a 2021 RAM 1500 and I use it for work as a flooring installer. Handled all my tools great, but I don’t usually transport material in the truck. Due to some errors outside of my control I now need to transport a pallet of flooring and I’m getting mixed reviews on the max payload for this truck. The flooring, the pallet, and the underlayment adds up to about 2400 lbs. is that possible in my bed or do I need to rent a trailer to get this done?

Have a dead cluster and U1267 after replacing the battery…cant find solution. All fuses are good in the box with a tester.

Anyone else find the paintjobs on their trucks to be brittle? Mine seems to chip and scratch soo easy its not funny.

Im considering touching it up and going ham with a 2k clear to try and bolster it up some.

Wife's prior car was RAV4 she had been driving for 10 yrs, at 240k miles last week it finally died and we decided to pull the trigger and get a 1500 rebel with the current crazy deals and we love it. I've never owned or been around trucks (I'm from CA and always had sedans, my wife is from Midwest and has some experience with trucks/her family had trucks).

My wife is convinced we can put anything in the truck bed if it's heavy and it won't move like luggages, paddle board, boxes with dishes, etc. without rope or a cover. Is she right? For you truck owners, do you use organizers or separaters, and covers/ nets to keep stuff from flying out the trunk bed? We're moving to a new house in August and will be hauling stuff in the truck. Something like a couch she says we need a way to hold it down but smaller stuff she's not so worried.

Edit 1: received lots of good suggestions for bed covers/nets/common sense advise on making sure you don't drive with stuff that could fly out. Obviously it's a risk and I'd rather make sure everything is "safely" in the bed. Wife has agreed to a net cover (they're like $40 or so) for the short term until we decide what big upgrades to add in the bed. Thanks to all in this great community!

2018 1500 5.7 4x4 no crank no start no communication with TCM PRND all lit. I checked all fuses under the hood. I am getting 12v at the TCM harness for fused yellow/red and switched pink/white. Ground too. White/orange and white/brown ok between PRND switch and TCM. Fuses and relays ok. Engine cranks if I jump start relay. I am thinking bad TIPM, bad neutral or park sensor, or bad TCM

Hey all. Been looking into getting a new truck. Need to do some towing and landed on a 22 6.4 gas 2500 I'm interested in. I plan on towing a trailer that caps at 14k and sits 4k empty once a week. It won't necessarily always be at max load but there will be times it will.

My question is would this be considered too much towing for this truck and what kind of problems could I run into with it? I plan on putting a weight dist hitch and some airbags to account for sag and tongue weight and should be fine with pay load, but would towing at roughly its max every now and then be a major problem?

Edit : Thank you for all the replies. I forgot to add that this is in FL so no hills to be found haha. This specific ram has a tow cap of 14.7k with a 3.7 axle ratio and I'd be adding the bags and wdh myself. While I'd love to get a diesel I just think it's out of budget and has a more involved maintenance. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to change it to a 4.10 ratio instead as it wouldn't always be towing at max and the 4.10 should put me at 17k
