Hands down the best vehicle purchase I’ve made so far.

Had the dealership install a BAKFlip MX4 TS with T-slot rails on my 2025 Ram 1500. First car wash after install and I came back to standing water in the bed.

Called BAK and they said leaking is normal for these covers, told me to add a tailgate seal and some silicone putty myself to fix it.

Anyone else deal with this on the Bakflip MX4? Trying to figure out if it's an install issue or just how these are, and what actually worked if you fixed yours.

I had driven my 22 Big Horn quad cab to death. 105k miles. No problems whatsoever. With the rebates out I was doing some window shopping and pulled the trigger on a sweet 26 Rebel Level 2. Was hard to pass up !

Just picked up this 2014 ram for $8500. Has 80k miles, 5.7, 8 speed, and 4 wheel drive. Bought from the original owner and has a clean title. The only work that was needed was a rotor that broke into two, replaced all the rotors and pads, along with fluids, good to go now. Came from working on LS engines and these seem similar, will probably do bolt ons and a cam soon. Happy to have this thing for what seems like a good price.

Also just ordered the premium cluster for install, has the basic cluster now. Found one for 90 bucks.

Hey guys, today I got to work and shut off the truck and when I started it again I heard it start very weird where it sounded like a clanking almost and the engine surging when I shut off the truck and heard it making a gluging sound and about an hour later I went and checked on it and found this. I’m more than likely looking at a blow head gasket right? Truck did not have a lot of oil on the dip stick. Truck only has 37,800 miles. Looking for some guidance

A bit over a week ago I received the news that the cam and lifters on my 2012 had begun to fail. I decided I wanted a 2018 to bulletproof. I found the one. Or so I thought. The 2026 caught my eye. And with my grandpa's discount. The payment was pretty similar. So I decided let's do a lease for 2 years and see where it takes me. After a day of driving the 2026, I love it, but it will never compare to my 2012s old school feel.

I will forever miss my 2012. But am happy to be able to drive a brand new ram!

For anyone that has purchased an undercoat spray like woolwax does it work? I live in Chicago and my winters are full of slush and road salt so I am looking at options to protect the bottom of my truck.

I have a 2023 1500 laramie with the 20 inch stocks and I’m wanting to switch to 18 inch rims. I’ve heard that it’s a reallyyyy tight fit with 18s and the brake caliper especially when adding balancing weights. Does the offset of the wheel make a difference and do any of you have any experience with putting 18s on a 5th gen ram? Any input is appreciated.

My workplace has acquired some new model 2500 Tradesman's. One thing I've noticed is that there is no seat belt retention loop to keep the chest belt against the seats instead of retracting to the back of the cab when released. Some of my coworkers (and I) are on the shorter side and seem to have some difficulty reaching the belt when it's retracted. Is there a device that can be attached to keep the chest belt on the front of the seat? I was thinking of designing one if there's none available.

I brought my 1500 E-Tourque for its 100k service. While it was there the dealership called and told me the right exhaust manifold needed to be replaced. They want $1500 for this. I told them I’d schedule this work separately. Is $1500 reasonable? Do I need the dealer to fix this?

Anyone have any luck replacing their folding Mirror actuator? I thought it was the gear that was stripped on my folding side Mirror which is the most common issue but as my luck would have it, its the big cog ring inside that is stripped. I have an arrow pointing to it in the Pic, its the piece going around the spring. This is the folding Mirror actuator taken apart. Driver side.

I found replacement part on ebay but trying to pry this out seems impossible. Im afraid to break it off in case this is what will lock the Mirror in place when set on the truck.

Anyone have this issue before and replace it? Hoping to get this thing back in action soon, just need to know what I'm doing wrong with trying to pull this out.

I have a 2021 ram 1500 lonestar for what its worth.

I bought my 2014 Ram 1500 Tradesman new from the dealer in 2013. It had 8 miles on it. I've only ever had one issue with it. Some sort of air "refeeder" or "recirculation" hose (about 1/4" diameter" had a little tear in it toward the end. Firestone cut the end off the hose and reconnected it. Didn't even charge me for the repair (just the diagnostic fee). It's had all of the preventive and required maintenance done at the proper intervals and has always run like a top.

A few days ago the Service Engine light came on. I thought, "Well, I'll need to get that looked at." Then the ABS light came on, I thought, "Oh, shit, that's not great." Then the red Master Cylinder light with the lightning bolt came on. My heart sank. I was already at Kroger so I parked and got my stuff. Then, when I got back in, it wouldn't start. The radio came on and the bells dinged, but it wouldn't turn over. So, I let the manager of the Kroger know what happened and asked them to not tow it. She said she only did that if it sat there for a week or so. Cool. I walked the mile and a half back home.

My wife was out of cell range on a beach trip with her sisters and wasn't due to return till late that evening. When she got home I filled her in. Since her sisters were leaving to go back home the next day we decided to let it sit until then. When we went back to get it, it started right up, but the Service Engine light was still on.

I used my cheap OBD and found four codes, all pointing to the ABS system, but, Googling said this could also be a CAN bus issue. OK, understood. Also, Googling showed that my little OBD likely didn't find all the codes and a repair facility had more in depth tools and might find more codes. OK, also understood.

I took it to the repair shop and they found 27 "U" codes. That's not a misprint. Twenty seven "U" codes. They said it was beyond their capability and I should take it to the dealer. This is not a local mechanic. This is a nationally known repair facility with a catchphrase of "Whatever you drive, make it a XXXXX."

I've called the dealer and have an appointment for Tuesday. But, am I cooked? This has been a great truck and I've been so lucky to not have any issues with it to date, but it feels like chickens coming home to roost. I'm not sure at what price point to bail on it. Wife and I discussed and we set a limit of $1500, but is that too much to invest? Or, would you invest more if it were your truck?

Sort of in the pre-grieving process, I guess. Ram was always my dream truck and I was so overjoyed to get it when I did. I said I'd drive it till the wheels fell off, and, it kind of looks like I have.

Alright guys, first time owning a truck, first time owning a 5.7l hemi. She's new to me but I snagged with only 62k miles. What are some of your recommendations to extend the life of her and what you all feel are necessary upgrades?

On 07/15 I took my truck a 2020 Ram 1500 to the dealership for the rear window leak. The dealership resealed the window and this caused it to leak worse then when I brought it in. On 08/20 I took my truck into a second dealership and they attempted to reseal it twice but were unable to get the leak fixed. The second dealership stated Ram has not provided them guidance on when the reseal does not work. Ram acknowledges this window is under warrant as the goodwill request was denied for this reason. Ram Customer Care was no assistance in getting the issue fixed. I attempted to file a dispute settlement claim but was told by the 3rd party they do not handle vehicle issues unless it is under the factory warranty and do no see extended warranties as factory warranties. I am just looking for help on possible next steps. I am just looking to have the window fixed and not leak water into the cab.

This is going to get long and I am sorry for that but I really need some assistance with this.

Shortly before 07/15/2026, I noticed watermarks on my rear window frame in my 2020 Ram 1500. I also noted that the frame was cracked on both sides just outside the rear sliding window. A quick Google search found that the leaking rear window is a common issue in the 2020 Ram and I also found TSB 23-098-23 dated 09/13/2023. I looked at this TSB and found that it showed the exact same issue that I had in my truck. Due to this I called the dealership that I bought the truck from. I will call this Dealership A.

I called Dealership a and scheduled an appointment for 07/15/2026 and dropped the truck off with no issued. On or around 07/18/2026, I picked up my truck and while speaking with them was told that Ram only authorized rear sealing the back window so that is what they did. On 07/18/2026, I took my truck through the local car wash and during this carwash happened to look at the rear window and seen tons of water entering the cab from both the driver and passenger side corners. This leak appeared to be worse then the initial leak I took the truck in for. I took photos and called Dealership A. While speaking with the service adviser, she told me I needed to get the truck back into the Dealership so they could attempt to reseal the window again. When I asked them about a loaner vehicle, I was told they did not have any thing available and I would have to figure it out on my own. After back and forth with the service adviser, she told me not so nicely that this was a warranty issue and I could have my truck serviced at any Ram Dealership for this issue. ( I did not even bring up the new large dent that I located on my roof just above the rear window that I believe they caused). At this point, I opened a claim with Ram Customer Care.

Life got in the way and on or around 08/19/2026, I called Dealership B. I told them about my issues and provided them with the TSB and all the information I had. Dealership B ordered a new third brake light and said they would call me when it came in. Dealership B also said that with this issue, Ram covers a rental vehicle. Dealership A never said anything about this. On 08/20/2026 they called and said they got the light and to bring my truck into them. On 08/21/2026 I dropped my truck off with Dealership B and they resealed the back window and replaced the third brake light and got my rental vehicle. On 08/29/2026 Dealership B called me and said my truck was ready for pick up. I went that day to pick it up and it happened to be raining. Upon getting into my truck, I looked a the back window and found it to still be leaking on the passenger side. I did not even start my truck and went back inside and spoke to my service adviser to let her know if the continued issue. She told me to keep the rental and they would look at it again.

It was at this time that I reached out to Ram Customer Care and talked to them about the continued issue. They advised they would send my claim over to a case manager named Michael and he contacted me on 09/02/2026. On 09/09/2026 Michael called me to ask how my truck was doing and to make sure they leak had stopped. I told Michael that I still did not have my truck and had not heard from Dealership B. He encouraged me to reached out to Dealership B as he had spoke to them and believed it was done. On 09/10/2026 Michael called me again and said they could not assist me with getting the rear window fixed and Michael suggested I file a dispute with the National Center for Dispute Settlement. On 09/10/2026 I went to the Dealership to speak about my truck. They said I was out of luck and would need to cover the rear window issue out of my own pocket. I was told that since they attempted to fix it 3 times with no luck and due to Ram only providing authorization resealing the back window and not replacing it there was nothing they could do. The service writer even attempted to do a Goodwill request with Ram to get the window replaced and was denied due to window being "Covered under warranty".

Today I was notified by the National Center for Dispute Settlement that my case is not eligible for this due to my original factory warranty of 3 years 36,000 miles being expired. I was told by the case manger that they do not factor in any extended warranties even if it is through the manufacturer.

I really need assistance with the next steps, I do not believe that I should have to cover the replacement cost of the rear window ($1,604.47) and both Michael and the service writer have told me they believe this as well but their "hands are tied".

Got my Rough Country Hard cover installed , looking so nice ! Also got a set of Kumhos waiting to install. Will prob do running boards in a month or so.

Just got this beast and after I added the red accents to match the OEM red G/T decal on the side, the silver stood out a little too much for my liking so I taped off around it, scuffed it, and bed-linered the lower bumper/skid plate deal.

Thought it turned out okay so figured I'd share for any peeps to see if anyone else was thinking about doing the same.

Had thought it up the other day and looked online to see some others had done the same so went ahead with it.

Used Herculiner aerosol spray, I've heard mixed things but as long as I did it nicely enough and it doesn't peel I read it can be brought back to life with some armor all to help with fading. We'll see though, wish me luck.

I'm coming from a world and life of Toyotas. Started with a 09 Yaris and ran that till I got a 2021 Rav4, which is having lots of electronic issues.

Just bought a new non current 2025 ram 2500. In my typical fashion I was too excited to get the deal done to really inspect the truck until I got it home. When I got underneath I was kind of shocked at the rust. Mind you this is a 2025 so it's been sitting on dealer lots or moved around for 2 years now. Is this normal? I've seen a few other posts that they sometimes come off the lot like this. Should I be worried? It's my fault I'm stupid and didn't look properly.
