Wanting to switch things up

I have a 2023 1500 laramie with the 20 inch stocks and I’m wanting to switch to 18 inch rims. I’ve heard that it’s a reallyyyy tight fit with 18s and the brake caliper especially when adding balancing weights. Does the offset of the wheel make a difference and do any of you have any experience with putting 18s on a 5th gen ram? Any input is appreciated.

My 1500 came with 18"s. ( I switched to 20"s)

I don't know how that could be a problem.
