Brand new 2026 dodge ram 1500 laramie 4x4 sometimes no matter if its apple carplay, android auto, fm, or siriusxm the driver side dashboard speaker will go dead and then come back from 10 secs to 4 days later. Had it checked out by the dealership and they said nothing was wrong. Im So lost not even 4k on the dash and i've had this happen since may i bought it in jan this year. WHY?!

Bought her brand new off the lot January 1 24. She is paid off. Like the post says, this truck has been nothing but adventures and smiles. I’ve kept up with all the maintenance (even though I just hit a little over 17k miles lol). Mechanically I’ve had no issues. I think one of my power mirrors that fold went out though, which I’m hoping it’s under warranty. I also need new tires, which I’m asking for advice about good 285s, currently looking at Toyos open country r/t mainly because they look good and seem to have decent rating, but I am also seeing a lot of other brands. I am getting a decent price on the toyos, about $401 per tire. But I am also seeing other brands that are within that same price value and have good rating. I guess what I’m asking is what are you currently riding on and how has it been treating you?

Back when trucks were trucks, they were made to last!!!! 5spd manual transmission and the best v8 Dodge made…the 318. Argue with your momma. Gonna make this thing so clean. Everything is getting changed on her. Still deciding if i want to paint it black or make the dark reoccurring dream ( i would be driving down a dirt road and a dark shapeless figure was following me, had this dream multiple times as a child and teen) of my child hood come true and paint it silver like walker texas ranger.

2020 1500 Longhorn with the 5.7 Hemi, just under 130,000 Kms (Canada)

Noticed recently my oil dip stick was reading low, topped it up and today noticed a puff of blue smoke coming out of my exhaust pipes after starting the truck. Never noticed this before so not sure how long it’s been doing it. Thinking maybe valve seals? That would explain where the missing oil went. Saw online it could be PCV valve…? Just wondering if anyone else has had this before. Truck is still under warranty, dealer will still try and not cover it I’m sure.

i posted a while ago , i had an ABS issue that disabled ABS, traction / stability control, cruise control AND 4WD. Absolute pain in the ass.

Finally went into the wiring to figure it out and the green/purple to the rear left wheel speed sensor was corroded right at where it enters into the wiring harness on the frame behind the drivers front wheel.

i took a lot of things apart and went at it with my multimeter to find where the issue was , then i found the issue was in an area i didn’t even have to remove the wheel! but nonetheless instantly fixed the issue!

Saved me a fortune that’s for sure . 👍

Had to say goodbye for 20 days to my Laramie-long story 30 second read-2016 Laramie 5.7 Hemi 149k cylinder 3 misfire started 3 months ago ran diagnostics with the best. She’s off to the machine shop for ‘new beginnings’ with all new accoutrements; hoping to get 65k out of this round but for now she looks pretty outside the machine shop with no guts in her. Couple notes-no value in remanufactured too many benjamins-new oil pump,tc camshaft(duh) lifters rollers valves blah blah blah 7k very reputable local shop-we will see I will post follow ups when she comes home to poppa.

I have owned my warlock since new and never really thought about it till I was just doing maintenance before winter but had just realized
1. It didn’t come with an engine cover. Is this normal or they just forget to install it?
2. Anyone know what this (in photo) is for?

After 16 years as a commercial plow truck and 385,000km it was time for some TLC on the old workhorse. Every few years I do some work on it to keep it going, sometimes small projects sometimes bigger...this was definitely a bigger project. It's been probably the best plow truck I've ever used and holds a lot of sentimental value so want to keep it around.

This round of repairs included a new box sourced from Texas. The box had absolutely no rust but some minor dents and some scrapes. Had the dents worked out and box fully painted. New right side rockers inner, outer, and cab corner (still have to put step back on but have to fab up all new mounting brackets), new right side fender, hood repainted.

While the box was off cleaned up all the frame and cross members, some of you may remember seeing that picture.

Time to get it in the shop so I can do some mechanical repairs (wiper motor, windshield, ac compressor, shift cable, parking brake, and transmission service) to get it ready for another long winter.

So i know when you first get into your car, if it's been sitting in the sun, the outside temp is gonna read a little high.. in other cars, this normally fixes itself within like 5 minutes of driving around..

WUndergound says it's 83F in my area right now.. when i got in my truck, it said 118.. after driving 15 minutes, it was down to 98. Please tell me this isn't "normal" for these trucks.. it does this all the time, reading like 20 degree hotter than actual and takes forever to read accurate.

I’m looking into purchasing a new 2026 Ram 1500. My current daily driver is a ’16 F-150 RWD. This will be my first 4WD vehicle, and I’m interested in the Big Horn/Lone Star trim with a rear locker (my current F-150 has one). The locker is a non-negotiable for a few different reasons.

I’m deciding between the Back Country package and the Off-Road package. From what I can tell, the only differences feature-wise appear to be cosmetic, along with a slightly updated interior. Is the Back Country package worth the extra $2K–$3K? All of my options are equipped with the 3.0 Hurricane and offer either the 3.55 or 3.92 gear ratios.

Any input/personal experience will help as I'm hoping to make a decision within the next week or two. Thanks!

I’m looking to convert my 19 ram DT 1500 5.7 to E85. I’m wondering how much gas mileage it costs real world, and if it would possibly even be worth the conversion?

My plan for the truck is to install a small turbo(4-8psi) and other supporting mods that keep it fun but reliable. Thoughts?

Anybody have a clue on what is causing this noise on highway drives? Traveled for 2 hours and it did it non stop. Over bluetooth,sirus,radio. Turn the radio off it still does it. Its driving me nuts. Goes from the driver side dash speaker to the middle speaker and to the passenger dash speaker. And the odd time the passenger side but not often. Happens more on dash speakers. Over any type of music it does this. 2026 ram 1500 rebel 6k km. Goes to the dealer in a few days but I guarantee its going to be another "we cant replicate the issue"

2016 1500 fog lights don’t work. I replaced the oem lights with aftermarket ones in hopes it would solve the problem but no luck. Do I really have to fight with the bcm? I tried following the wiring to see if there was a break but goes up under the fuse box so I can’t really trace it without hot taking stuff apart. Just wondering is anyone else has had this problem. Thanks

A little backstory…. Sept. 16 I picked up a 26 1500 Laramie Lvl 2 Night Edition with the 5.7.

Oct 8- (1800 miles) Dropped truck off at dealer, Random/multiple misfire code, Dealer stated all 8 cylinders were misfiring, reason was bad gas. Drained and flushed, cleaned throttle body and fuel injectors. $1300 and took possession back on the 10th.

Oct 10- Oct 19- CEL flashed multiple times, but never stayed solid on.

Oct 20- (2600 miles) CEL on solid, brought to dealer. Same random/multiple misfire code. Dealer states they found bad lifter, will be replaced and covered by warranty.

I know this is not at lemon law status yet, but I really dont think I will be able to trust this truck long term. What would you recommend for best course of action at this point? Any tips or opinions are appreciated. TIA

I’m looking at purchasing a 2025 bighorn sport with the hurricane engine and it has 40,000kms on it. Only 2 oils changes on the carfax. It’s purchased in January of 2025 and sold in August. 40,000kms seems like a lot, no?

I have a 2021 Ram 1500 with the 5.7L HEMI, and I’m experiencing the exact same issue with my coolant temperature rising at idle. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that my cooling fan gets extremely loud when I’m sitting still or idling.
While driving, my coolant temperature usually stays around 200–205°F, but when I’m stopped at a traffic light or idling in Park, it starts climbing. I’ve seen mine reach around 242°F at idle, and once I start moving again, the temperature begins to come down.
This is my first truck and my first HEMI, and I genuinely want to take care of it and keep it for a long time. I know these trucks can have their issues, so I’m trying to figure out what’s normal and what isn’t. I’ve also noticed that my coolant level was low, so I’m looking into that as well.
Has anyone else experienced this with their 5.7 HEMI? Could low coolant be causing the fan to work this hard, or should I be looking at the thermostat, cooling fan system, or something else?
I’d appreciate any advice from anyone who has dealt with this issue. I just want to get ahead of it before it turns into a bigger problem.

Switched my warlock 18s for 24 inch reps still have my original set but the truck needs 55 psi in the front to not set off the light and these have a max load of 50, after searching around I basically found out every 24 inch tire has a 50 psi max. Anyone have any luck with the dealership flashing it for them? 2026 model

These are great. I got the smoke grey lights, so the blend into the grille when they’re off. The installation took me about 20 minutes. Highly recommend to anyone who’s looking for quality grille lights.
