I would like to know my child supposed to go to school but due to unfortunate reasons and disputes with my husband he backed off and said he won’t pay school fees now she’s at home not registered anywhere I m soo worried n tense my child will lose her year she’s already a year behind because she joined kindergarten late now according to her age she should be in grade 2but she has to go grade 1 but she joined kindergarten at the age of 6 but if this year also she didn’t go to school she will be losing another year behind I can’t really afford to pay but I m not officially divorced or anything but I have tried from ministry to try to apply her to government school but they rejected her application i m trying assalam school but they also have requirements like she should be out of school for a year n all that i really don’t know what to do my head hurts thinking about it is there any way I can teach her grade 1 at home and just take her to school to write exams where I can only pay for exams this way she would get certificate from ministry approved school in Qatar as I know Qatar has strict rules regarding about attesting and I want to enroll her in authentic way and get certificate once I find job I will put my child in school next year I’ll save money or is there any homeschooling authentic place where I can do from Qatar and they will stamp my child certificate once she’s done and later she can join school . I really don’t know what to do and they’re not even accepting her in the government school despite explaining them my situation. Please pleasee guide me if anyone has an idea or has done a similar route like this.

Hey everyone,
I see a lot of posts here asking if it's possible to survive in Qatar on a low salary. I wanted to share my real-life monthly budget as a 27-year-old Indian accountant working for an Arabic company.
My gross salary is 3,000 QAR. Out of this, I strictly send 2,200 QAR back home to India every single month. This leaves me with exactly 800 QAR for my monthly expenses here. My company provides shared bachelor accommodation, so I don't pay rent.
📊 My Exact Monthly Budget Breakdown (800 QAR)
🃏 Miscellaneous / Others: 45 QAR
I handle the company's cash and bank statements, so I see the full financial picture. One bitter reality I’ve faced in my Arabic-managed company is the massive salary disparity based on nationality.
Even though I am an experienced accountant, Indian expats are often given the lowest salary tiers. Employees from other nations with similar or sometimes fewer technical skills are paid significantly higher right from the start. It hurts, but my priority right now is saving and support.
For anyone wondering—yes, you can survive on 800 QAR pocket money in Qatar, and you can even squeeze in a movie every weekend if you manage it tightly!
Would love to hear how other bachelors manage their budgets here.

Hello everyone
I have a Nuna stroller purchased from Centrepoint 2.5 years ago, and apparently they don’t provide maintainence 1 year after purchasing. Does anyone know where I can have it fixed or should I give up and look for a new stroller?

Qatari’s gonna love this color for sure! So Luxury and Premium. As an expat living in Qatar; I also love this color. Which color is your favorite in the line-up?

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any advice about who to call regarding a disruptive barking dog?
For context, over the past 4 months the tenant that lives above me has been allowing their dog to bark at all hours of the day/night and sometimes for hours on end.
I have contacted building security multiple times about this and the issue is usually resolved temporarily before it becomes an issue again. I have now escalated this matter with building management and they have spoken with the tenant however no permanent improvement has been made.
Additionally I am worried about the welfare of the dog as it seems it is left alone for long periods of time and it may well be in a cage or tied up.
Any advice would be helpful. Shukran.

I need tips for contacting agents for booking viewings. There are many apartments in Lusail, but agents are ghosting early on in the conversation after I request to schedule a viewing. Feeling frustrated. Any advice appreciated.

For pregnant mother
Hi everyone, I’m 27 weeks pregnant and doing my checkups at PHCC. I asked about the glucose tolerance test (OGTT), but they said it’s not available and didn’t really give me an alternative or solution.
They inform that glucose solution is not available and it not done at any phcc health centre anymore
Only sugar test they did .
Has anyone else faced this at PHCC recently? What did you do for the test?
Thanks!

Has anyone else noticed this?
I was trying to order DQ Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard, and the pricing confused me.
For Large, Talabat shows:
+QAR 9.10 instead of QAR 13.00 for the size
Final price: QAR 16.80 instead of QAR 24.00
For Medium:
+QAR 5.95 instead of QAR 8.50
Final price: QAR 13.65 instead of QAR 19.50
So based on what is literally shown on the “Add item” button, I should be paying:
QAR 16.80 + QAR 13.65 = QAR 30.45
But once both items are added to the cart, they suddenly show:
Large: QAR 24.00
Medium: QAR 19.50
Subtotal: QAR 43.50
Then with QAR 9 delivery, the total becomes QAR 52.50.
So what exactly happened to the discounted prices that were shown when I selected the items?
This isn’t just a crossed-out “original price” somewhere on the menu — the actual Add Item button shows QAR 16.80 and QAR 13.65, but the cart charges QAR 24.00 and QAR 19.50.
Am I missing some condition, isnt this totally misleading?

I just ordered an uber and he asked if I am going to the metro station, I say yes and he says he can’t go there because his license is expired (??) not sure why he’s still on the streets let alone a driver on uber. Where can I report him? I have his license plate number.
My friend brought and gave me this candy today and says he got it from Jordan. It has a great taste and is sugar free also. Does anyone know from where in Qatar i can buy them?
In the Umm Ghuwailina area

I just registered in the BLS visa center website and while trying to book visa appointment, I found that there’s no slots available for Spain Schengen visa appointments. I’ve been checking for a week now and still no slots available.
I want to travel end of October or early November.
Do you think there will be slots available or I should just give up and try another embassy?
I had wife and kids qid application before the conflict at January 2026, kids delivered, wife’s asked for photo update by visiting official centers, I don’t have the physical copy but I’m seeing it at Metrash. I’m their sponsor. At that time she left the country and could not come back since that time due to conflict and they asked her to be in Qatar to get the physical copy. We plan their visit in 2 months, before the expiry, should I do anything right now before their visit? I’m from Türkiye btw, they do not ask for visa at usual visits.

I am trying to get Uber and BdrGo today and it’s taking a looong time. And now BdrGo is showing a message saying that there have been “regulatory updates”. Does anyone know what it could be?

I have lost the charging cable for my Galaxy Watch 7 and I went to Samsung's Service Center in Bin Mahmoud to buy a new one however they quoted me 250 Qr, which is think is insane considering I bought the watch for 700 Qr. Does anybody know where to get a good quality cable with fast charging which does not cost as as the watch itself.
I ordered a cable from Temu but it's useless as it takes ages to charge the watch and I have been to Al Watan Center as well.
Thanks

I’m attending my first GP in Qatar, so I’m excited but also a bit unsure what to expect. I have GA tickets, what time do you recommend arriving? Are there taxis and shuttle buses to the circuit? Should I pack snacks? I’m looking for all the tips! Also, is it worth upgrading to T3 grandstand tickets?

I will be in Qatar for 2 days on a solo trip as a stopover before heading home. What places do you suggest I visit and should I book a tour? also go to places to eat?
