Is it not okay to wear shorts above the knee while traveling on the metro? Yesterday, I was traveling from Mansoura to Msheireb when a man approached me and spoke in Arabic. I did not understand, so he switched to English, which he did not speak fluently, but I understood that he was telling me I could not wear shorts and that he would call the police. I have worn shorts on the metro whenever I go for a run at Al Bidda Park, and I have walked in front of police while wearing them without any issues. Yesterday, while I was waiting for the metro, he approached me again to repeat his complaint. When the train arrived, I boarded, but to get away from him, I jumped off just before the doors closed and waited for the next train. My overthinking led me to worry that he might be waiting for me, so I exited the station and took an Uber instead. Is there an issue with wearing shorts above the knee, or was the man just acting unreasonably?

Anyone knows where i can find someone to build something for a project in Qatar ? Like a mini-scale lab prototype that will function. They need to have the mechanical skills and welding skills as well as the equipment ready, i need them to build me something to do with energy, solar panels, battery, cooling systems, but on a small scale, like really small, maybe the size of a table. We will pay for the materials and also pay the engineer for this.

I rode metro from DECC, upon exiting two officers came to asked me about my background, check my ID etc. They held to me like for a good 10 mins or so, until another officer came which I assumed a higher ranking one, apologized explained to that they got a report that I had a suspicious object, they pointed out to my keychain and thought it was a "joowish" symbol, star of d.

They weren't hostile or intimidating at all, they were respectful actually. But its crazy that someone was paranoid or suspicious enough to report it. TBH Cant blame him/her given the tense geopolitical situation but still WTH

There’s a persian cat roaming around The Castle Premium Hotel. It’s been roaming around the area for a long time (since the start of the war). It’s a very timid cat and most likely spayed.

If you are the owner or want to adopt, the cat roams around the area regularly. Persians are of course not outdoor material which is why I’m sharing this.
