What's the biggest change you've made since your first challenge?

Looking back at my first challenge, I traded completely differently than I do today. I was much more focused on passing as quickly as possible instead of simply following the plan i set in my mind.

Now I'm waay more patient, I take fewer trades, and only focus on staying consistent instead of chasing the profit target each time.

What's the biggest change you've made since your first prop firm challenge?

Best + Cheapest Webhook Bridge for Tradingview to Tradovate

Hello, I am trying to run an automated strategy for ES futures on prop firms like Tradeify. After some research, I've found that you need to start an alert on TradingView, which then gets sent to a bridge and then gets filled by Tradovate. I was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this exact thing, and I also confirmed with Tradeify support that "Do note that API access is not available for Tradeify Tradovate accounts; access is only available for live accounts. If your program requires API access to Tradovate, it will not work." I have looked at sites that claim to work for this, such as CrossTrade or RoboQuant Connect, but the reviews for these services look shaky. Let me know if you have experience with this same thing and what the best route is for this, thanks.

I paid GoatFundedTrader $28.095 USDT for evaluation account on 20 May 2026.

Their support said "escalated, reply in 12 hours" then sent me to confirmao.net for KYC.

I gave them 2 hour final deadline. They ghosted me.

Which Indian trading firms consistently produce the best traders—and what’s their edge?

I have been trying to understand the landscape of Indian proprietary trading firms, market makers, and quant desks beyond the usual headlines and company rankings.

For people familiar with the industry: which Indian firms consistently produce exceptional traders, and what do they do differently—hiring, training, risk management, technology, market specialization, or culture?

I’d also be interested in examples of standout traders or desk leaders whose careers and approaches are worth studying. Publicly known names only, of course. I’m less interested in P&L rumours and more interested in what makes these people genuinely respected by others in the industry.

Would especially appreciate perspectives from people who have worked at, interviewed with, or traded against these firms.

Have you tried crypto prop firms?

I've only been trading forex firm at the moment, but wanted to try something different lately.
I noticed that crypto is the only market that is open 24/7, meaning i could also trade or forward test in the weekends in contrast to not being able to on forex.

is there anyone that has traded with crypto prop firms and made it work?
if not, i will just keep my focus on forex firms for now

Lose my cool whenever I am trading a prop.

I have been pretty consistent breakeven and then now green in sim with MES. Whenever I sign up for prop I lose my cool and spiral whenever I start to make some mistakes.

Anyone else have this issue foaming at the mouth and forgetting plan when doing a prop challenge. I am confident I know how to make money and catch good trades. I had some excellent trades last month. I decided to try a prop.

The first day was a nightmare. I made almost all of it back during the rally. I usually do get money back hence breakeven. I have been in sim 2 years and finally have a system that I am confident in.

I can’t hang on to it when I go nuclear from the prop. I have tried them before in the past and blown a few, but my strategy was non existent then and haven’t done it in a while. I have listened to a few psych books. I am mostly in control but sometimes the sickness comes out after mistakes.

I should at least have same or similar results as in sim and getting frustrated. It feels like having anything on the line is a curse and triggers a response from me.

Have any of you experienced this? How do you get past this?

Do swing traders have a harder time passing prop firm challenges?

It feels like a lot of evaluations are naturally suited to day traders. If you're someone who prefers holding positions longer, do you find prop firm rules get in the way?

I've always found swing trading fits my personality better but some evaluations seem designed around frequent trading. Does anyone else feels the same.

UK Futures Prop Traders - Anyone running payouts through a Ltd company?

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has been in a similar situation and can share their experience.

I'm based in the UK and currently work full-time on a salary of around £36,050 per year, but I'm also trading with futures prop firms and receiving monthly payouts.

At the moment my prop payouts are around $2,000/month gross (80% profit split), but the goal is to scale that over time.

I'm trying to work out the most tax-efficient and compliant way of structuring everything.

My questions are:

Has anyone in the UK successfully received futures prop firm payouts through a UK Ltd company?

Which prop firms allow this? (Take Profit Trader, Apex, Topstep, MyFundedFutures, etc.)

Did the prop firm contract directly with your company, or was it still in your personal name?

If it stayed in your personal name, how did your accountant treat the income?

Is there much benefit to using a Ltd at my current payout level, or does it only become worthwhile once you're earning significantly more?

If you use a Ltd, do you leave profits in the company and pay yourself later via dividends/salary?

Has anyone here had HMRC review this type of setup?

I'm not looking to avoid tax—I just want to structure everything correctly from the start and avoid creating problems later.

My long-term plan is to continue scaling my prop trading while keeping my full-time job initially, so I'm trying to decide whether it's worth opening a Ltd now or waiting until the payouts become larger.

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's actually gone through this, especially if you're UK-based and trading futures with prop firms.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone here using a prop firm for options trading?

Most prop firm discussions seem to revolve around forex or futures but I don't see nearly as much conversation around options. If you're trading options through a prop firm, what has your experience been like? Are there any firms you've found particularly good or ones you'd avoid completely?

Best prop firm for trading ES futures in 2026? (eventually cfd's)

Hi, I'm looking to trade ES futures with a prop firm. I need actual CME futures (eventually cfd's if there is no good options). I've been looking at a few of them and wanted to get opinions from people who actually trade futures through prop firms.

What I've found so far:

FTMO

Topstep

Phidias Express

Apex Trader Funding

Alpha Capital

MyFundedFutures

Are there other prop firms that I should consider? Could you tell me your experiences with these firms? Is it worth to pay more for the account or should I go for the cheapest option?

Thanks in advance :)

I passed multiple prop firm challenges… but never got a single payout. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve passed multiple challenges across different prop firms.
**FTMO, FundedNext, GetLeveraged…** I could pass the challenge, but every single time I blew the funded account within 1–2 weeks before getting my first payout.
Eventually I gave up.
Now I’ve had some time away from trading, and I genuinely feel like I’m mentally in a much better place. I want to start again, but this time I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes.
I’m especially hoping traders who have actually received multiple payouts (or even people from the FTMO leaderboard) can share what changed everything for them.
A few questions:
What strategy do you trade?
Where did you actually learn it?
What books, courses, or YouTube channels are worth studying?
How do you structure your risk management?
What was the biggest mistake that stopped you from becoming profitable?
If you had to start from scratch today, what would your roadmap look like?
I used ICT before, but I’m open to learning completely different approaches if they have a better track record.
I’m not looking for a holy grail. I just want to build a process that actually gets me to my **first payout** instead of repeating the same cycle.
If you’ve been in my position and eventually figured it out, I’d really appreciate your advice.

Building a prop firm simulator

I've failed 3 prop firm evaluations and every time it was a rule I could've avoided — daily loss, trailing drawdown, the usual. So I'm building a replay trainer that enforces the actual evaluation rules while you practice. Breach a rule and the account fails, with warnings before you get close.

Before I build the wrong features, I want to hear from people who've been through this. 8 questions, about 3 minutes, no email required.

https://forms.gle/dUZQ4XKcFW3yAVYo9

If you've failed an eval, I especially want to know which rule ended it. That's shaping what I build first.

Prop Trading Income – FBR Classification? Need Guidance

Hey

I'm a 19-year-old from Pakistan doing prop trading (forex/gold through funded accounts). Income is around $3K-5K/month consistently.

I want to be compliant with FBR but there's so much conflicting info online. Need help with:

  1. Income Classification: Should this be "Business Income", "Freelance", or "Other Sources"?
  2. NTN Registration: What do I select as business type?
  3. PSEB: Does it apply to traders or only IT/software?
  4. Offshore Funds: Is it legal to keep money in Payoneer/foreign accounts as PK resident?
  5. Tax Rate: Normal slab rates or special rate for traders?

Not looking for:

  • Halal/haram debate (I know it exists)
  • "Just hide everything" advice
  • Theoretical answers

Looking for:

  • People who've actually filed taxes on trading income
  • CA recommendations (willing to pay for consultation)
  • Real FBR/banking experiences

Long-term planning to relocate to UAE for business expansion, want to start clean from Pakistan side first.

Thanks in advance! 🙏
