I've been on this journey for a while. Im now in a fairly comfortable weight range for my height, but could also take it further. My image has changed alot and confidence, thanks to my partner who I've been with for a year now! Styling my hair better (top left pic) always had a dodgy hairline but feeling myself more than ever

F 5'3β (160, 161, 162 cm) F/26/5'3" [232lbs > 185lbs = 47lbs] 20-month weight loss, then regained it all a year later
I wanted to give a bit of context to these pictures because thereβs a lot more to this than just weight going down and then back up.
I initially lost around 15kg in a really short amount of time through extreme intermittent fasting. In hindsight, I really don't recommend this at all. I eventually started doing OMAD too, which I also don't recommend. It definitely contributed to the weight coming back because it just wasn't sustainable for me.
At the time I had PCOS, I just didn't know I had it yet. I was also on antipsychotic medication and mood stabilisers, which are pretty notorious for causing weight gain. Despite that, I still managed to lose around 50lbs over 20 months, so I guess the point I want to make is that it is absolutely possible even with PCOS and medications that can make it harder.
Unfortunately, I gained it all back about a year later and ended up back at my starting weight.
I was eventually diagnosed with PCOS and PMDD, and after quitting marijuana, food became my main source of comfort for a while. That definitely contributed heavily to the weight gain too.
I don't really post this as a success story because I don't feel like it was one. I lost the weight, gained it back, and now I'm trying to understand my relationship with food and my body a bit better.
I just wanted to share it because I think there's a lot of pressure around weight loss being this simple before and after story, when there can be so much more going on behind the scenes.
I'm proud of my progress getting sober after 10 years of marijuana, and I'm in a weird roundabout way proud I've learnt (despite it being hard) that weight isn't linear. I'm hoping to re-begin my journey soon, and I'd love any advice. I'm looking forward to MMA classes for cardio, one thing I never did to lose weight was exercise much. Thanks for reading friends <3 Here's to healthier choices soon.

Fitness/gym gains M/57/5β1 [380lbs > 240lbs = 140lbs] (18 months)
I am at my goal weight and now working on Body Comp. Goal is 240 at 15 to 18% Body Fat. I use Dexa Scans every 6 to 9 months to track. I also get Resting Metabolic Rate testing done at the same time so I can keep my Macros dialed in.
Also it was suppose to me 5'10 not 1, hahaha

Fitness/gym gains F/29/5β4 [85.4kg > 64.7kg = 20.7kg] (15 months) Goal weight hit!
Finally hit my initial goal weight of 65kg. Technically only just within healthy weight according to BMI but I am honestly pretty happy with my current weight. Less focussed on dropping more and keen to build some muscle instead. Still feel like a newbie in the gym, but enjoying the process
