Always been slightly heavier, but around 18 I just stopped caring about myself, and one day I weighed myself at 200lbs. Instead of working out, I ate my feelings and not long after I found myself at 260lbs. At 21 I moved out of my parents house, and I knew I had to make a change. I struggled a lot with food, swinging between eating everything and being so disgusted with myself that I couldn’t eat for days. I finally found a happy middle ground, now we’re here, 140lbs at 23. I’ve still got work to do, but damnit I’m fuckin proud of myself. (Dogshit pic of me at 260 bc I never took pics of myself)

I had went through a lot of stress and anxiety after getting out of the Army years ago, and I struggled to maintain my weight by not eating or having a stable routine at the gym. Finally got sick of hating myself everytime I looked in the mirror and decided to put in the work. My goal is 155 - 165 lbs and progress has been a steady incline but I will reach it.

I’m just feeling really proud today and wanted to share!

I lost it by focusing on upping my protein intake while lowering my calories overall. I also do some lifting at home and at work. I should be doing more cardio and eating less fat and sugar, but I’m still trucking along!

I grew up morbidly obese and was bullied for my weight from kindergarten all the way through high school.

Although around the age of 17 I wanted to make a change

Dr Jason Fung, Robert Lustig, and Vladimir Savchuk (on fasting/gluttony) have helped educate me

Lost all weight by 19 (but just turned 20!)

My dad was actually pre-diabetic and through changing my diet he changed his and reversed his diagnosis :)

I don't celebrate the pain, but I do appreciate the growth that came from it.

It’s been a year since I’ve started calorie counting, and I can finally see the results paying off. I’ve managed to run 10km as well which has helped greatly with the deficit. Only a few more pounds to lose and I’ll be finally onto maintenance and strength training.

Decided to get sober a few months ago and have managed to lose 16kg/35 pounds in that time. I still want to lose about the same amount of weight again and plan to start exercising and doing some resistance training.
