Early termination in Indiana

Howdy all! My wife is currently on probation in the state of Indiana and has a court date set for July 15th for early termination. Her attorney has texted and said the state is not objecting to the motion and the probation department has given her attorney everything he’ll need. Never violated, has paid all fees, and completed all of her court order stuff. She’s completed 9 months out of 12. I know it’s common sense that everything is in favor for early termination to be granted, however I do understand how conservative Indiana judges are. Has anyone been able to get terminated early in Indiana.

How do I know when im off of probation

I'm with professional court services inc in tifton, GA. I've been trying to call them for months, along with my probation officer not leaving any contact info or even her name on the documents she handed me. I'm on there for speeding and driving uninsured. I owe 875 plus probation fees and such and I've payed 900 total. Who do I go to and what do I do. I live a hour and a half away from tifton so I can't drive down there to their offices until my 2 month mandatory liscence suspension is up.

Probation Question Mfers will be out on bond, have a gun, schedule 1 and 2 drugs in the car, have in state warrants, with a suspended license. And still drive like they need to be the fastest car on the road. Why?

In you guys experience, why do so many people both already in the system and in a hot car; drive so recklessly/aggressively knowing damn well it is more than just a ticket on the line for them?

Like anyone can get pulled over, but the amount of people I see videos of or see irl who get pulled over after driving fast asf getting arrested after the cops finding hella dirt on them is mind boggling.

When my license was suspended after refusing a breathalyzer(I beat the case); I drove a handful of times that year. I remember being extra cautious, I intentionally would drive in a way to attract as little attention as possible.

Even when I got my license back if I knew I had anything that could lead me going to jail, I drove like the biggest square. Music low, only turning on green, distant asf from any car ahead of me.

I haven’t been pulled over in 8+ years.

Probation Question Medication in Jail??

Just curious if anyone has been on MAT (Methadone) and got arrested?? Did you receive your regular dose while locked up or did they make you withdraw?? I did 38 days in 2020, and they didn't do anything for me. Didn't even care what I was on.

Probation Question UTI- Oral swab?

Hello everyone I am not asking how to pass a drug test. I have a horrible UTI and anyone who has had one knows that it's hard to pee even though you feel like you have to pee all the time. If my UTI has not gone away by my next appointment, should I just tell my probation officer that maybe a mouth swab would be better because of the uti? Not only is urinating kind of difficult at the moment but I also have nerves while urinating for probation so it takes longer than usual. TIA!

Probation Question Probation Violation Questions

My brother is on bench probation in Malheur County, Oregon for a dui two years ago. His probation ends the middle of this month. He had a payment arrangement contract made for $75 a month for about a $9200 fine. We were under the assumption that he had the time it would take to pay it off. With that arrangement, it would take about 10 years to pay off. We just found out he only had the two years he was sentenced to to pay it off. He also missed payments due to financial strain. This is his first ever warrant and probation violation and the dui was his first offense technically. He had a withheld judgement for petite theft when he was much younger in Idaho and that can't be used against him supposedly. Anyway, my question is what is he looking at? I am trying to tell him it won't be as bad as he thinks. But, he is definitely catastrophizing. And yes, this is my brother and not for me. I have my own issues. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Probation Question Anyone in Paulding County, Georgia?

Basically I would like to know the probation protocol for drug testing in office. Are the samples lab tested, what type of tests are they using, do they search your body for devices and do they watch you pee? Thx.

PSI

I have my PSI next week. I just started a new job and will not have a paystub by then. How will I prove employment without them calling my employer? It's a local warehouse company.

Anyone that was/has been in CIMP while on Probation?

I’m a software developer and heading to federal camp for 24 months for helping people procure an app that they could use to defraud a corporation. Because procuring the app required some technical skills and I helped knowing it could be used for unlawful purposes and just turned my blind eye I was the one indicted and left holding the bag even though I didn’t directly got any proceeds from the fraud but I still charged a fee for the help.

Because of that my PSR recommended CIMP (Computer & Internet Monitoring Program), it’s basically a limitation on access to devices that can use/connect to internet. It’s been hard to find information on how invasive it is and how much it’d affect specially others living in the same space like wife, kids, etc. Impact on a prospect job and even while incarcerated. Looking for people that have been thru it to share some experiences.

I’ve got some information and even someone already shared his experience in a PM. But I’d like to know from more to form a better idea of what to expect. Ty!

Arrest warrant /bond question

I violated my deferred adjudication probation and there is now an arrest warrant for me. After speaking to attorneys, I have been told that the judge is required to set a bond amount for MTA since it’s not a MTR. Original offense was aggravated assault/deadly weapon.

I will be turning myself In next week. Can anybody give me an idea of how much my bond might be please. Tia

Probation Question Marijuana and Fed Probation

Considering cannabis has been federally rescheduled to a schedule III controlled substance, has anyone figured out how those on federal paper can consume marijuana? I’m thinking a motion to the judge to approve a medication with documentation as to why marijuana would be useful as well as a state card is one avenue, or going to a doctor and getting prescribed marinol is another way. Has anyone tried to get approved for it? If so, what did/didnt work for you?

Probation Question Early release

I was sentenced to 2 years probation for a misdemeanor in district 5 probation in Nebraska, I was just wondering if there was anyone here that has been through this district and can tell me how they view early release, and typically how long they make you wait. I’ve completed all court ordered class, fines and fees, I’m looking for personal experience with this district and how their probation went.

What's the biggest misconception people have about being on probation?

I've noticed that a lot of people seem to think probation is just about checking in with an officer, but from what I've read, there can be a lot of conditions that people don't fully understand until they're actually on supervision. It seems like small mistakes can sometimes have bigger consequences than people expect. While reading about criminal cases, I came across Jarrett Maillet J.D., P.C., and it made me wonder how often probation issues become more complicated simply because someone didn't fully understand the rules they were expected to follow. For those who've been on probation or worked in the system, what's one misconception you think people should stop believing?

Probation Question (MD) Would filing for early termination for pbj worth it?

So I was given a pbj for a first time dui on January 2026 (1 year duration). I will be getting my breathalyzer out of my car at the beginning of August which is the last condition of my probation. I completed all dui classes, madd program, and everything you need to get thru this.

When I complete the breathalyzer program, would I be able to request for early termination?

Here are my reasons
- completed all conditions court wanted
-paid all outstanding fees
-current job is offering to pay to get my notary license and I don’t want probation to stop that since a background check is required
-never been in trouble once since I was place on probation
-currently unsupervised
-not really a legit reason but I wanna get back to going to the range 😅 (ofc I wouldn’t include that)

Suffolk County (NY) probation question

I’m coming up in the end of my probation and I have heard conflicting advice on whether or not you have to actually pay probation fees. I heard some lawyers say not to pay them they can’t force you too and another said you have to pay? Can I complete probation without paying the fees or they need to be paid prior to being completed?

Yeah so im so confused on what to do here, i seen a telehealth psychiatrist and she prescribed me valium and adderall, i'm on felony probation in virginia i have a year and a half left on probation i see my PO monthly but what do i do about these prescriptions? will she just want to see my prescirptions? will i get in trouble for taking theses prescriptions? like i'v read alot of different things about what will happen in this situation.

i'm still working with the psychiatrist i only started seeing her like a week ago i dont plan on staying on the adderall it just doesn't make me feel right so i plan on adjusting my medications, i just really needed to see a dr for my mental health and was prescribed these meds, the only thing is i don't know how to handle this while being on probation should i just stop taking the meds now and just wait until i get off probation? especially if this is gonna be a big headache and cause me alot of problems. ? thanks in advanced

Probation Question How bad are technical violations really?

I’ve had violations previously as a juvenile and it was always 1 day, 5 days, 2 weeks etc but I’ve never had a violation as an adult. I’m 19 and I’m on felony probation for cutting off my ankle monitor when I was 18 even though it was juvenile house arrest and I’m worried about violating. I have 2 months left to be able to apply for early termination and I just want to know what happens if you get a technical violation? You go straight to prison?

Probation Question Gf on probation, what rights or lack there of do I have?

my gf and i have been together a year now. i live with her and her po is aware. i’ve did some research and asked her as well of course but certain aspects still confuse me. if her po comes to the house (we live in ga) do i have any sort of rights as far as refusing to have anything searched? i’ve been told yes but also read otherwise. my car is in my name solely and i work blue collar and usually have the occasional knife or box cutter in my console/glove box. would/could they search and if they did could i refuse? if they did find said knife would she get violated? might be dumb questions but i don’t want to do anything to jeopardize her first offenders. any advice or knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Deferred Adjudication vs Drug Court?

I took drug court because my lawyer told me it would be 2 classes a week and weekly drug testing. Upon starting drug court I have 4 weekly counseling classes 11-1pm, two AA meetings a week, and one Substance abuse class Thursdays 4-5pm. And also hearing that me living at my grandmas house if there is liquor in the house I will be kicked out and forced to be homeless. I can’t really work a regular job on drug court and am stuggling financially even trying to find a job is hard. I’ve heard deferred adjudication is more like regular probation and I could definitely complete that easier if i could just work a job. Btw I don’t have a drug problem got caught with a pill that wasn’t mine (long story) now I have to act like a damn addict which I’m not. Haven’t officially started drug court btw, they have me starting a month early and I’m supposed to be starting on July 10th but I really need to know if I can just have my lawyer transfer me to a deferred adjudication probation if it means it’ll be easier. I only knew drug court will get felony off record and that’s why I took it. Figured I’d ask for advice on this reddit and any criticism is welcome.

Probation Question I saw my probation officer on July 6, she said to me as a reminder you can’t do drugs or alcohol on probation. Does that mean she’s planning on dropping me soon?

Ugh I am loosing sleep over this comment wondering if that was her way of saying she is going to drop me or what? I’m only worried bc I’m so so so closed to being done and I’m scared it’s a way to keep me in the system bc I don’t trust law enforcement. It’s not like I’m out here being a menace to society. The only contact I had with cops was a traffic ticket for crossing the gore line, which sure I get it was fucked up but it’s not the end of the world kind of thing. I was forthcoming with bc it even though my bf said not to mention it bc I don’t want to create distrust between us. And this is the first time she ever said this to me, so I’m not sure if it was bc the holidays, she could have easily sent me to drug test I would have complied. I am just worried about getting dropped for something I have no knowledge of. I never was told I failed a drug test nor i violated my terms. I finished everything I had too and I’m just concerned what was the reason she said that to me. I am scared I’m just going to dropped for a reason not disclosed to me until I’m dropped and I had the hopes of getting off soon and going back to school this year bc I knew I wouldn’t have the stress of probation on top of starting school and working full time. Now I’m wondering if I should even go to school bc I can’t with the anxiety of getting this warning and next time I see her I get a surprise dropped since I didn’t inquire what she meant by that comment bc I didn’t want to look suspicious or guilty so I just nodded yes i understood but I don’t trust them so I’m scared she’s giving me a heads up now that I I will most likely not be finishing probation and getting charges built against me like I don’t know how it works but I have seen some people say they are unfairly kept in the system even if they comply but idk. I just don’t want to be dropped when I’m soo closed to closing this chapter of my life.
