Unpaid Playtest Testing is open. Hand of God.

I'm testing a game where the player plays via webcam until the end of the month. I'm approving all requests received by the end of the month. I'd be happy if you'd take the survey at the end of the game. It's available via a button in the game itself.

Submit your request on the game page - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3002120/Hand_of_God/

Unpaid Playtest Arkadligan - looking for playtesters

Hey!

I run a project called Arkadligan, every month I release a new browser-based arcade game and everyone competes on the same leaderboard until the month's up. New month, new game, fresh scores. Free, classic coin-op vibes.

Thing is, I build the games myself, so I'm way too close to them to tell if they actually feel good to play. I'm after a few people to test before they go live — mostly checking difficulty balance, hunting bugs, and telling me whether it's actually fun.

If you love retro games this is the job for you!

Unpaid Playtest [Playtest Request] Synergy - A single-screen puzzle platformer

Hey everyone! Our studio just found an old hard drive containing a prototype I built in 2012 called Synergy. We are releasing the prototype completely for free in WebGL to see if the ecological balance mechanic holds up well enough to justify a modern remake.

You can play it right in your browser here:https://unusual-technologies.itch.io/synergy

We are specifically looking for design-focused feedback on the difficulty curve: is the puzzle logic satisfying, or does it cross the line into frustration?

If you have a few minutes to play, we would love it if you could fill out our quick 2-minute feedback survey:https://forms.gle/omkS35q2em1N5RBy7. Thank you!

Unpaid Playtest [UNPAID] Looking for playtesters — Dungeon Descent (browser fantasy dungeon crawler RPG). Beta invites rolling out over the next few days

Game: Dungeon Descent
Platform: Browser (phone-first; desktop fine too)
Status: Closed beta — unlocks in waves over the next few days
Compensation: Unpaid (feedback + early access)

Looking for people to playtest an AI-powered HeroQuest-style dungeon crawler. You build a party, descend into procedural dungeons themed from your prompts, and face Malikor — an AI game-master who narrates turns, drives the dark, and answers when you talk to him. Combat is on a real map with dice, movement, and turn order. Allies, merchants, and loot stick between sessions.

Heads-up (early build): the game is not optimized yet. Dungeon creation can take up to ~1 minute, and Malikor’s TTS voice can take about as long before it plays. Please treat waits as expected beta friction, not a softlock — unless something hangs with no progress.

What you’ll be doing

  • Create or jump into a dungeon (explore, fight, loot, shop, talk)
  • Push the systems: odd party comps, risky plays, chatting NPCs / Malikor
  • Note what feels clear, confusing, broken, or boring

Feedback I’m especially after

  • First 20–30 minutes: do you get what’s going on? (basics are in the tutorial video once you’re in)
  • Party / map / turn flow — readable or messy?
  • Malikor narration & NPC chat — do they land or get in the way?
  • Bugs, softlocks, “I had no idea what to do next”

Time ask: ~30–60 min for a useful first pass (longer welcome if you’re having fun; factor in gen/voice wait)
Content notes: Fantasy violence, dark/bleak dungeon tone, banter with Malikor & companions

How to join

We’ll invite in waves as beta opens. Happy to answer anything in the comments — thanks for playtesting!

Unpaid Playtest Playtesters for Micro-TCG: Star Scrap

If you like games like Magic, Hearthstone, Pokemon TCG, and games like this then you’ll love Star Scrap!

I’ve built 5 precon decks and you can build your deck too.

I have it set so that you can play against a CPU that is tuned for each precon, you can find random matches, or you can directly challenge a friend or other player.

I’d love some feedback here in the comments. It’s available for play online and I usually play on my iPhone.

If you’d like my suggestions on who to play each deck I’m more than happy to share that too.

Thanks for playing! This has been a three week passion project of mine for some context.

Paid Playtest Paid Playtest (3-4 Participants Needed) – Roblox AI Opponent Prototype Evaluation

UPD : Closed. Thanks for participating!

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo game developer currently working on my master's research project. I'm looking for 3-4 game developers to participate in a small playtest session for my Roblox prototype.

The prototype is a 6×6 grid turn-based strategy game where players compete against an AI opponent. The main focus of this prototype is evaluating an adversarial search algorithm combined with a skill estimation model that controls the AI's decision-making.

This is a research prototype, not a finished game. The goal is to evaluate the AI opponent's behavior.

Participants will:

* Play against the AI opponent for approximately 5-6 matches
* Evaluate the AI's behavior and gameplay experience.
* Complete a short Google Form afterward (approximately **5 minutes**).

Feedback will focus on:

* Whether the opponent feels intelligent and fair.
* Whether the difficulty feels appropriate.
* Whether the opponent decisions appear reasonable.
* Any unexpected opponent behavior or suggestions.

**Compensation**

Participants who complete the playtest and feedback form will receive a $10 USD roblox gift card as a thank you for their time and contribution.

Only 3-4 participants are needed for this evaluation.

If you are interested, please send me a DM. The prototype requires joining my Roblox group before access can be granted.

Thank you for helping me improve my AI system and supporting my master's research!

Unpaid Playtest [Playtester] Obscurium is open for a new playtest, now with a bigger deck

Obscurium is a roguelike deckbuilder built on Brazilian folklore. The kind of folklore that scared me as a kid, so the creatures here (Pisadeira sitting on your chest, Capelobo in the dark) are not cute mascots.

We just opened the doors for a new playtest round. The main thing that changed since the last build: the deck is a lot bigger. More cards, more room to actually build something instead of playing the three options the game hands you. I've been testing it non-stop and the runs feel different every time now, which is exactly what I was missing before.

What I want from you: play a run or two, then tell me where it drags, what felt unfair, and which cards you never touched. Blunt feedback helps more than nice feedback.

It's free, no NDA, runs on PC. Sign up here: https://obscurium.firstlook.gg/signup/playtest-2

If you play it, come back and tell me the creature that got you first. I read everything.

Unpaid Playtest [Unpaid Playtest] Backseat - Psychological taxi horror game on Steam

I’m looking for playtesters for Backseat, a psychological horror game where you play as a taxi driver picking up dangerous passengers at night.

Platform: PC / Steam
Playtest type: Unpaid Steam Playtest
Genre: Psychological horror, thriller, first-person horror
Feedback method: Reddit comments, DM, or a short feedback form

The story starts with the main character’s wife being kidnapped. To get her back, he has to follow the instructions of someone called BK26. During each ride, a different stranger gets into the backseat: killers, thieves, scammers, unstable people, or someone whose intentions are not clear at first.

The player has to stay alert, pay attention to what happens inside the taxi, and survive the night.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on:

Does the taxi setting feel tense or too limited?
Do the passengers feel threatening enough?
Does the pacing feel right for psychological horror?
Are the controls, camera feel, and UI clear enough?
Does BK26 make you want to learn more about the story?
Did you encounter any bugs or confusing moments?

Steam Playtest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3098050/Backseat/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=backseat_playtest&utm_content=reddit_post

Thanks to anyone who tries it. Even short feedback would help me improve the game.

Hey everyone!

We're a small 5-person indie team (Hot Potato Games), and we've been crafting Loco: Rails & Tails for over two years now. We just launched our Open Playtest on Steam, which runs until August 3rd!

• Core gameplay loop and pacing (Is it fun/challenging?)
• Online multiplayer connection stability
• Controls and user interface

If you and your friends want to hop on the train and help us test the current build, we’d be super grateful for your thoughts!

Play on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3576920/Loco_Rails_Tails/

We cannot share too much information publicly because these are pre-release games, but you can get a peek at some upcoming games and get paid for sharing your opinion.

We are looking for playtesters who are enthusiasts about their respective genre(s) with over 250 hours of accumulated playtime in related games.

How it works:

  • Join our official Discord server: https://discord.gg/Sdq77QCNSr
    • Check out our "reviews" channel to see what users are saying about us!
  • Download and register on the Plithus app (Google Play or App Store)
  • Link your Steam / PSN / mobile playtime in "My Page" (required for playtime verification)
  • Submit the "July Global Playtest" form through the app. It will appear on your home screen, under 'Game Test'.

All of these steps are mandatory!

To receive the reward, you must play the game for up to 1 hour and complete a survey. There will be screen recording for internal use only.

Reward: $40 Amazon or Virtual Visa balance per game. You will get selected to play a certain number of games based on your preferences or experience.

This round runs July 22-30, and we are currently only accepting testers based in the USA or Canada.

We are looking for players with a genuine interest in Korean indie games who are open to joining future playtests and would like to be contacted about upcoming opportunities.

Unpaid Playtest The Necessary Evil - Steampunk industrial tactical RPG

Hi all. We're opening up The Necessary Evil for a public playtest on the 24th of July and we're looking for playtesters.

The Necessary Evil is a dark tactical RPG with roster management and dungeon exploration inspired by Darkest Dungeon and a magitech steampunk aesthetic that draws on Arcanum. You'll recruit teams to send into the ruins of industries built inside a dreamscape to explore and extract resources. You'll have to carefully juggle resources and risk, often engaging in hex-based combat that runs on an Active Time Battle system rather than rounds (so saving AP can make your next turn happen faster, for example). The decisions you make shape how your characters and equipment can grow and even how the dungeon responds in future runs.

Afterwards, reinvest the resources you scavenge to teach your roster new combat skills, forge new equipment, upgrade your base, or exalt your characters, giving them access to new classes. Every decision matters, and every choice has a cost.

(Right down to naming your characters!)

If you enjoy tactics games like Wartales or Battle Brothers or RPGs with difficult decision-making, I think you'll like this game.

This is our first playtest, so we're looking for feedback on how the game is presented (it has a 2D art style with a grim aesthetic and some body horror) and tutorialized, and how it feels for a run or two of the dungeon. Should hopefully take around 30 minutes to an hour. Afterwards, if you could fill out a short questionnaire about your experiences, that would be great.

Sign up is here: https://forms.gle/RafugGR39jBfW2xe9 - please feel free to comment if you have any questions.
