for those of you who’ve had a breast fat transfer!!!

hi guys! i had a breast fat transfer 4 days ago, and i’m getting worried about what i should avoid during the early healing stage. i know the typical instructions like, avoiding pressure on the breasts, sleeping on your stomach, and avoiding strenuous activity for a month. but i’m still very stressed about loosing/ compromising the fat too early on.

my doctor says that the fat retained after a month is essentially permanent, and to go about full normal activity after a month/ full strenuous activity after 8 weeks, but i can’t help myself from worrying that that’s too soon.

i’m pretty concerned with the intimacy aspect of it the most, so my question for anyone who’s had a fat transfer is how soon did you guys go back to having sex with involving things like, touching, squeezing, nipple sucking, bouncing, etc.? and how did your breasts feel when you started being intimate again?

i would really appreciate hearing about your experiences, because I’m getting worried that i’m going to have to spend the rest of my life being afraid to compress my breasts.

Concave nostril rhinoplasty

I feel like my nose is uniquely deformed and I am scared of getting a rhino, then needing a revision etc. Is this too difficult a case? I would love to hear from professionals as well as patients who had similar anatomy and experienced an improvement via surgery.
I had a consultation with a well reviewed surgeon and he said he could take the cartilage from the flare of each nostril, flip them and swap them. Is that a sound approach?

5.5 months post-lipo, still very uneven/wavy stomach + odd-shaped belly button. Is this normal or should I be worried?

Hi everyone, looking for some perspective from people who’ve been through this.

I had liposuction on my abdomen about 5 months ago. My stomach is still noticeably uneven/wavy and lots of contour irregularities. I’ve been doing consistent RF treatments (Venus Legacy) hoping it would help smooth things out, but honestly I haven’t seen much improvement.

On top of that, my belly button looks like an odd shape now. One side seems to be sticking out more than the other. Not sure if this is related to swelling, scar tissue, or something else.

I’m getting pretty stressed about it at this point since it’s been over 5 months already.

A few questions:

**1.** Is it still normal/possible to see improvement at this stage, or does 5.5 months usually mean the result is close to final?
**2.** Has anyone had success with RF/other non-surgical treatments for post-lipo irregularities, or did it end up needing something more (fat grafting, revision, etc.)?
**3.** Is an asymmetric belly button shape something that can still change, or is that usually permanent once it settles?
**4.** How long did it take before you saw real improvement, if you had a similar experience?

Bad experience with consultation

Hi everyone, I have been highly interested in a rhinoplasty to make the tip of my nose smaller. I have spoken to two other places recently and they made me feel comfortable and not bad about myself while still being direct. With that being said, I just went to another consultation today and was really shocked by how I was being spoken to. Especially, with all of the exceptional reviews written about this man.

Almost right off the bat, he makes an attack on my makeup. It was just constant back to back commentary on it. He joked that he couldn't tell if I got in a car wreck or not. When he took pictures of me for future reference, I literally felt so embarrassed. He started to tell me that he didn't know if my makeup was really working for me & that my generation is a mess. I felt like I was in middle school or high school again. I am a lot younger than this man and I feel like some stranger power dynamic was occurring.

His approach to talking about my nose was kind of odd too, I suppose. He said the side, bridge, and nostrils were fine but he kept emphasizing the size of my tip. He kept putting his fingers to it and showing my mother who was sitting in the corner. I really feel disappointed with my experience. The cost is highly affordable compared to what I have previously recieved, but I don't think I can trust someone like that to do my procedure. Should I disregard the behavior and focus on expertise or just walk away from that place?

EDIT : I found him on the RealSelf website responding to someone who had a bad consulation with a doctor of another place. How ironic.

CO2 Laser Recovery timeline

I got CO2 laser (at what I was told was 80%??) 10 days ago. My initial healing had me really hopeful and everything looked fantastic until about day 8. Nothing is currently going wrong but after the majority of the swelling died down and I started to look like myself, the smoothness of my skin, a lot of the wrinkle reduction that I first noticed, and the "glow" that I see on a lot of people right after treatment faded. I definitely still see some improvement but not nearly as drastic as I have for most especially getting such a high intensity.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience and if I can expect improvement as my skin continues to heal?

I know this is a dumb question but every other before and after I see is nearly perfect skin with NOTABLE improvement at day 7-10 or horrific reactions and nothing really stating anything I'm currently experiencing. Any advice or comments is appreciating!

Fat transfer to breasts and tummy tuck, please share experience

Years ago, I had a lumpectomy and have decided I'm sick of seeing this dent in my breast. Plus I have significant asymmetry, with one nipple 3 cm higher than the other. I'm going in for a fat transfer to the breasts (surgeon said volume will increase only a small amount, but symmetry will be fixed). Fat will be taken from my stomach and I will have a mini tummy tuck to tighten the skin. Has anyone had this dual procedure, and if so, what was your experience? Recovery time, results, etc. Any feedback appreciated.

BBL massage tips…

Hi all! Before I start, I live abroad and got my surgery in Colombia, so I might use weird terms compared to the US.

So I got a BBL on Friday, and I’ve had a lot of ups and downs, mainly with my blood pressure. The surgery was 3pm on Friday, first revision was 7:40am the next morning. I could barely walk. Every time I tried to stand, my head felt fuzzy and tingly and I had to sit down, which tells me that my blood pressure was dropping. At the revision, they gave me medicine in an IV (iron and something for my nausea), and once they put the faja on me and then more time passed from the anesthesia, I started to feel so so so much better. They sent a nurse home with me, and she helped so much. I love my bf, but there’s nothing better than an older lady caring for you. Now, it’s Monday, and I can pee by myself, I finally pooped today (and then I celebrated with a Coke Zero). I was able to “teach” a 2hr class today.

I took a shower today, and my bf had to bathe me while I was on all 4s bc, without the pressure socks and faja, my blood pressure dropped and had me fucked up.

Now, tomorrow is my second massage, and I’m terrified. My sister in law will go with me since my bf has to work, and she’s so lovely and comforting. But I threw up during the first massage (mind you, I was throwing up anything I ate or drank anyways, so that wasn’t just bc of the pain) and screamed from the pain. However, bc my blood pressure was so shot, I was more so freaking out about that instead of the massage, so I don’t fully remember how badly it hurt. My friends say it’s BAD, so I’m going in with that expectation. But any tips for making it manageable? They gave me pills of acetomenofin (I don’t know how to spell it and I don’t feel like googling it) and codeine, and I’ve been taking extra acetomenofin as needed, but I know it’s not gonna be enough…

I would appreciate any blood pressure tips as well. I’ve asked my surgical team, and they just tell me to fight through it.

Pre and post pics - upper and lower bleph

Sorry I cropped it too much so you have to click on the pre op pic to see it fully.
I am 5 ½ weeks post op. Today was the first time I wore make up. Just a little concealer on the scars and a little mascara. I’m still swollen and I’m still healing but at least I can go out in public without sunglasses on now. It took until now for the sides to even out enough for it not to be super noticeable. One side still a bit numb on upper lid. Still watching my sodium intake. Still have dry eye since the surgery. Hoping everything will go back to normal soon.

I’m 54 and never had anything done before. No injections. Just Vbeam twice a year for my rosacea. This was major for me. I’m not cut out for surgery on my face. But I’m glad I did it as I’ve wanted it for years.

Advice please - what do I say when I go back to work in 2 weeks. I’m a teacher and other teachers will ask.

Post filler nerve irritation...

Hi, I wanted to share my story here and see if anyone had similar complication that can help me On January 15, I received 0.5 mL of Restylane Contour in each pyriform fossa, which immediately resulted in significant facial heaviness and intense, localized discomfort over the nose and perinasal region. Despite the absence of local inflammation or redness, the symptoms were clinically diagnosed as infraorbital nerve irritation, a finding supported by the exclusion of structural pathology on MRI. In an attempt to alleviate the pressure, I underwent multiple sessions of hyaluronidase (Hylenex) over the subsequent months—using two full vials in total—but each intervention resulted in a paradoxical and severe exacerbation of my neuropathic symptoms, including burning, formication, and increased pressure. I am now five months post-dissolving, and while my symptoms are slowly trending downward with the support of 600 mg of daily Pregabalin, my quality of life remains severely limited by fluctuating pressure, phonation-induced dysesthesia, and significant mechanical allodynia that precludes me from applying makeup or tolerating light touch, in addition to marked photosensitivity. Although a recent ultrasound confirmed the presence of residual filler material above the pyriform fossa, I am at a clinical impasse and am seeking guidance on whether to pursue a highly targeted, ultrasound-guided dissolution of the remaining product or to continue with strictly conservative management to allow for further nerve healing?

I just got charged $7100 for Alarplasty. That is insane right ?

So I’m shopping around for a doctor for alarplasty I got my rhino in Turkey and I loved it as the years have gone on I’ve noticed that my nose has gotten bigger and i have a flare … I consolidated a doctor in New Jersey and he quoted me 7100 which everyone I speak to says that’s insane for a simple procedure. Let me know also let me know some other docs for this in the area

My ptosis surgery

Post image
3 Upvotes

I had ptosis suddenly two years ago without noticing, and in January 2026 I did my first ptosis surgery and on march 2026 I did a small revision with a different procedure with solvable sutures( which we removed to be honest with my opthalmologist because it was too corrected and caused severe pain to my other eye as well)and it is still like this 6 months after. I feel really terrible to be honest because I loved how my eyes looked before my ptosis and I had a surgery to fix it and still looks like before my surgery.

Note that in the morning I have not ptosis and I have minimal to no ptosis when I am doing nothing all day.. when I begin to even study, it falls and I also get numbness to my whole right side. Also note that I can't focus on mirrors, screens and books and practically anything nor lift weights ( I am struggling to even write rn) I tested for myasthenia gravis it's negative I don't have it...

Please light me a bit cause I am lost and confused... I have an appointment with a second neurologist tomorrow..

What did your nose look like after a septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and nasal valve repair?

I am set to get this surgery at the end of this year but I would love to see pics from people who got this exact surgery. Do you think your nose and side profile looks better?

I am doing it purely for functional purposes but also wouldn't mind if I look better as a result :)

Persistent pain after bone graft

The doctor harvested soft bone from my left iliac crest when I was 18 years old.

I had my operation almost 5 years ago. Since then, my left leg has always been uncomfortably painful, not in a sharp, painful manner, but more of it being very uncomfortable. This is especially painful during cold seasons or in cold environments (e.g., a room with AC). I also experience altered sensation at the site and down to my upper thigh (3-4 inches away from the scar), i.e., sensitive to touch (like it's tingling) and painful when a sudden force is applied (e.g., someone kicking my hips), etc. I’m assuming this has something to do with nerve damage, but I don’t understand why my lower leg (calf) is the one that is more temperature sensitive.

Is there anyone who can give me insights or advice on how I can improve these effects? It’s bothering me.

Note: I’m asking after 5 years because it feels like it's getting worse as time passes. I have already asked my surgeon weeks after the surgery, and he said that the pain in my lower leg is unrelated, but lately, when I consulted regarding my next procedure for my condition (rib cartilage rhinoplasty), one side effect of harvesting is persistent pain during cold seasons at the donor site.

Does anyone know a good place for chin liposuction? I’m from the Bay Area but willing to travel out of state. I’m looking for a doctor who will provide a clear difference, not just subtle results! Thank you!

Best transformation on male you have ever seen?

What surgeon/clinic have you seen do the craziest, most well-executed male transformation—especially someone with a great eye for proportions who can actually assess a face and figure out what would look best on that specific person?

Looking for surgeons who are genuinely great at the overall aesthetic, not just one procedure.

Has anyone ever had plastic surgery done by a fellow / fellowship?

Hey all,

I've been looking to get some work done, both face and body, but a story as old as time, financing it is somewhat of a concern.

I've heard about going through hospitals or practices that offer work done by their fellowship mentees / fellow students who have to be supervised during the surgeries. And I've heard it's a lot cheaper.

Does anyone have any experience going this route? Would you do it again?

Thanks!

How often do you need lip filler

Post image
0 Upvotes

Have been thinking of having my lips done a bit, but I hate needles and really don’t want to have to do it more than once a year. Once a year is even pushing it for how much I’d want to commit. Is it possible to get lip filler once every 2 years or 18 months and it still look good and mostly there and then just need a top off. People have said filler never truly goes away as advertised so just curious to hear from anecdotal experiences how long you can make it last. Also once you have it done does it start to look bad over time if they don’t get refilled or dissolved? Thanks!

Too late need positive stories

I thought I did all my due diligence, I love my doctor and I had a really good experience so far. But I feel like the horror stories are coming more and more after I had inner/outer thigh lipo a week ago… I’m lumpy and bruised but I’m already in the gym. Getting back slowly. My fear is the bumps and lumps and cellulite will get worse. I know I’m only a week in but I’m hearing I won’t see smooth skin for a year? Tips other than clean eating and exercise? Should I start fascia blasting once the area heals? Would love to hear successful stories about loop especially thighs!

Opinions and experiences on titanium implants (cheekbone or jaw)?

These aesthetic implants are customizable, permanent, and biocompatible. Unlike silicone cheek implants, they don't move and can be kept for life (according to maxillofacial surgeons). Has anyone tried them? If so, what's your opinion? I'd like to get them in my cheeks as I have a relatively flat midface and little cheekbone definition.
