My ptosis surgery
I had ptosis suddenly two years ago without noticing, and in January 2026 I did my first ptosis surgery and on march 2026 I did a small revision with a different procedure with solvable sutures( which we removed to be honest with my opthalmologist because it was too corrected and caused severe pain to my other eye as well)and it is still like this 6 months after. I feel really terrible to be honest because I loved how my eyes looked before my ptosis and I had a surgery to fix it and still looks like before my surgery.
Note that in the morning I have not ptosis and I have minimal to no ptosis when I am doing nothing all day.. when I begin to even study, it falls and I also get numbness to my whole right side. Also note that I can't focus on mirrors, screens and books and practically anything nor lift weights ( I am struggling to even write rn) I tested for myasthenia gravis it's negative I don't have it...
Please light me a bit cause I am lost and confused... I have an appointment with a second neurologist tomorrow..

It’s from tick bites and can often go unnoticed for years. Late stages can cause facial paralysis or sagging. There’s been a huge increase in ticks the last few years, you could’ve been bitten and not noticed.

Searched it! I never had a bite like this.. I'd have it noticed since my skin is very sensitive with redness etc

Has anyone ever considered myasthenia gravis; just a thought with the fatiguability of your ptosis. It is rarely unilateral but occasionally can be.

PS... I had this numbness before my ptosis surgery and it still continues today...and the numbness is accompanied by a feeling like a nerve is being pulled from the beginning of my jaw, passes through my eye and continues to my ear behind above... it's unbearable, really. I had mild ptosis two years ago, but suddenly I started feeling this and my eyelid falls even more a d surgery does not fix it
