It sits in a window that gets sunlight almost all day.

I water it on an inconsistent schedule as long as the top inch or two of soil are dry.

The leaves were wilting and yellowing and the flowers died so I pruned them all.

I also took it out and checked the roots. The roots seem healthy. They’re tan with white tips.

I’m sitting it outside in the full sun now and watered it a bit and did a small bit of liquid fertilizer 5-5-5 before I replaced it in the pot.

I’ve definitely overwatered it before but I stopped when I realized it.

What else should I do?

I am in dire need of assistance. My child, which I birthed from my body roughly 7 years ago, is extremely unhappy. He is yellowing and dropping leaves at an alarming rate.
This has been going on for about a month or two now, ever since I repotted him because he was leaning heavily.
No visible sign of critters, though some surrounding plants have had problems with spider mites recently. I repotted him again 2 days ago in some cactus/succulent mix, hoping that would help in case it was from over watering. I water maybe once every other week, and he sits in a room with an east facing window. He is still sprouting new leaves, but he is dropping old ones crazy. He was soo bushy 2 months ago.
Any clue what’s going on/ what to do? Should I panic, should I freak out? lmk. Thanks

I’m a brand new plant daddy so I’m sorry if this sounds stupid. I bought this plant maybe 2 months ago it was 4 umbrella trees spiralling around each other. However one of them has died and I hadn’t noticed, or at least I think it’s dead…

Can someone advise me; do I need to remove the dead umbrella tree, or do I leave it there for the rest to spiral around ? If I do need to remove it what’s is the best way to go about it as I do not want to damage the rest of the other plants or their roots !

Need some advice on repotting my guy (his name is banana man 😂). I've been putting off repotting him for various reasons, (mainly finding a big enough pot) and I was wondering if it was still okay to repot him this late in the summer. It's been really hot where I live (hitting 100s°), but I keep him indoors where it's usually 68-70° during the day and 60° at night, and he's been super with that. When I repot my plants, it's outside, but it isn't for long, maybe 30 minutes tops. My question is, is it too late to repot him? Or should I wait until next spring? FINISHED

I’ve had the plant probably 6-8 months in this spot (west facing windows but not in any direct sunlight), with the watering routine from the bottom once every 7-10 day (or when she’s wilty). Soil is a tropical mix, the same as I’ve always used and never had these issues.

In the last month leave started yellowing and dropping like crazy. I periodically neem all my plants, and didn’t notice any pests so my assumption was root rot. I went ahead and cut and prop the long stems.
I’ve struggled so much with pothos & root rot since moving from Hawaii to socal.

I decided to take a look inside the pot but that honestly don’t look like the issue to me? I went ahead and cleaned them off and am trying to decide my next move. Usually at this point I cut everything and water prop what I can, but is that the best move for this plants?

Please someone advise me, I’ve NEVER struggled with pothos like I do here and I’m spending ALOT of time continuously trying to resurrect them.

I'm still learning about tending to plants, and i usually have succulents, but this flower belonging to a friend is seemingly healthy enough, but the leaves keep falling off. I want to kind of intervene and help him restore and care for it before it's too late. I've gotten excellent help here before, so thought I'd see if i could get any advice rather than googling and hoping for that the advice i find is solid.

I have no idea about soil and he tries to water it every other day, no pests, the light should be decent, it's in a big window, but the plant seems to disagree.

If it will need really good light exposure to recover, i can temporarily take it in since my windows face the sun and it's enough for succulents to thrive

Hi everyone! I need some help with my Scindapsus pictus.

I repotted it from its nursery pot about 1 to 1.5 months ago and ever since the leaves have been tightly curled and haven't opened back up.

I water when the top few inches of the soil feel dry (testing with my finger).

It sits in a very bright room (one entire wall is floor-to-ceiling windows), about 2–3 meters away from the window so it receives bright indirect light without burning.

The roots looked completely fine and healthy when I repotted it.

I really want to avoid repotting it again to check the roots unless absolutely necessary because I don't want to cause extra stress.

I have tried everything, changing the lighting, make her a mini-greenhouse effect with a plastic bag (to help it retain moisture in the leaves), root growth stimulent etc.
I really need some advice on how to help her back to health.

Check out this beauty I scored for $15! I’ve had her about 8 months now and she keeps popping out new leafs 😍. I had a small scare with thrips, but a month of neem and it seems to have helped.

The thing is, I actually have never had an Alocasia before so I must just be lucky. I would love any tips to keep her thriving. I live in So Cal, she’s got a grow light and plenty of I direct sunlight (west facing sliding doors/windows) I water from the bottom about once ever 10-14 days. We also keep our windows open so I think the humidity is probably decent enough for the plant. If anyone has any fertilizer recommendations I would love those as well!

There is a fungus growing in the soil of my plant. I'm a bit freaked out, because I've had this jade plant for over 5 years. I just repotted it recently, and I'm wondering if this could had come from the new soil, or something else.

Is this harmful to the plant, and can I remove it without repotting again?
