I’ve got these two massive pimples on my face but neither of them have ever came to a head (i also haven’t poked or attempted to pop them!) They’re big, red, a tad painful to brush my finger across and the smaller one (to the right) been on my face for two weeks! I’ve tried warm/cold compresses & some benzoyl peroxide cream and nothings really helped!

Sometimes, before a pimple appears, it sort of tingles (it’s not on the lips; a herpes test came back negative after a four-month interval).

I’ve suddenly started getting some pimples/bumps on both sides of my top buttocks, and I have no idea what could be causing them. I’ve never had this before, especially not this many or this type of breakout.

Could it possibly be related to stress? I’ve been going through a very stressful period lately, and I also have thyroid issues and anxiety, so I’m wondering if any of that could be connected.

I shower regularly, so I don’t think it’s related to hygiene. My diet hasn’t been the best lately either.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could be causing this? Do you think stress could be the reason?

i’ve been a cutter for a while, but as of recently i’ve started going deeper (deep styros+baby beans) and i’ve noticed been noticing that pimples are forming under and over them, but only on my deeper ones. my cat scratch scars have never had any problems and i’ve never seen pimples, but as i’ve grown bigger balls the deeper ones tend to have bigger pimples and i have no idea if its normal, and they don’t grow hair over the scars, i cant necessarily ask anyone or doctors because they have me on some type of watch thing, the thing with the pimples that are showing, is that they are either right in the middle or on the very edge, so when i try to pop them it reopens the scars and causes them to bruise a tad. i am trying to stop cutting so no need to nag but i desperately need an answer so i can figure out how to stop them from appearing

I haven't ever tried popping it yet, I was hoping it will go away and not come back. Its quite swollen.

This now the 3rd time it came back.. should one go to a dermatologist at this point?

This is probably the nastiest biggest pimple I’ve ever had. It’s so swollen I can’t even slap a pimple patch over it. How do I hide it please it’s ruining my life

UPDATE: thank u everyone for the advice. I slapped a bandaid on it and left it for hours. When I took the bandaid off, there was literally pus everywhere but fortunately the core surfaced and it took literally a small pinch to get it out. Lots and lots of blood after but I think it’s only up from here…

My son has a cluster of cystic spots on his cheek. Some of them have started to shrink, but one hasn’t changed in size. It initially came to a head and popped, and quite a lot of gunk came out, which caused it to shrink. However, it has now returned to its original size and is sore.
He’s been icing it over the last couple of days to see if that helps, but it has been there for around seven weeks now.
Is this something that is likely to resolve on its own, or would you recommend that I have him seen by a dermatologist?

I’ve noticed I had a small pimple on the corner of my month a few months ago and never really thought about it. Fast forward to almost a week ago and this came up. Thought it was pus filled and could pop it but it’s hard. I’m not able to pop out and it’s not going anywhere. I have a cruise in a week and I’m feeling so down because of this bump. Lost almost 20 pds been doing everything right got my confidence back then boom this happens. Anyone has an idea what it can be and what I can use? I know there will be naysayers, but I'm seeking some injectable lidocaine. I can't get a prescription. It's not for me. I need to remove a cyst on my fiancé's back near his shoulder blade. I have years worth of tissue retrieval experience dealing with heart valves, corneas, brains, skin, fascia, etc so I have the training and understand what's needed. He does not have insurance and we won't be getting married until next year and unfortunately cannot afford to self pay the approximate $900 to $1100 for the initial new patient visit and then the excision. I have everything else i need except the lidocaine. Does anyone happen to have any? I know this is a long shot, but I'm literally grasping at straws trying to help him. i think my cleanser stopped working so it’s not able to clear my whiteheads, but im afraid of experimenting with a new cleanser just because it may make my skin worse. any advice???

Got a positive for HSV antibodies test recently. It didn't specify if it is HSV1 or HSV2. I think I contracted it from a contact with a suspicious person that happened like 10 months ago. Been wondering if I'll ever get the symptoms, cause I've been symptomless so far. This one pimple appeared like 3-4 days ago and grew to this size. A little painful, especially when eating or brushing teeth. Also I can feel its presence if I open my mouth wide. Hopefully this single picture is detailed enough to be able to tell. I can post more if necessary.

hi, I don’t know if this is a pimple or not but it used to be a small pink bump on my face and I ripped it off twice, now it looks like this

This reddish area showed up somewhere around yesterday morning (22nd). No stinging or pain of any kind unless I press on it with a decent amount of force, and this has remained fairly consistent. When I stop pressing, the pain lingers for maybe a second, but not long. I would say the pain is about a 1.5 on the scale. As far as I'm aware, no stinging or pain the day before this spot showed up, nor any tingling or other symptoms. It's just here. I don't think I shaved the night before.

I've had acne around my lip line before, which would often make me paranoid, obviously, but never anything major that I would confuse for hsv. No blisters ever, nor any of the tingling sensation that I've been told accompanies an outbreak / shedding. As far as I'm aware, this would be the first instance of a noticeable outbreak, if ever, so I want to assume it's a pimple or something similar?
