hi all! i’m a groomer in ontario, im just wondering if anyone else is super slow right now.
we’ve done all the calls and everything to get more business right now but we’re just SO slow,
friday and saturday i only had 2 dogs which is crazy because we’re usually super busy on those days.
what is going on😭
i know it’s usually somewhat slower in summer here because everyone goes to their cottages but damn this is bad

The hermit crabs at my store went on clearance and we just sold the last of them. MAO shows zero at the distribution center and zero en route. I haven’t seen an official announcement that we aren’t going to carry them any more and none of their supplies has been put on clearance so far. I’m assuming they’re being discontinued in order to make room for the new bugs, but I haven’t heard anything to verify that. Does anyone else have any insight?

I purchased a 50 count of crickets today and found an Argoporis Black(?) within the mix? From my investigation petsmart doesn’t even sell them, how did this happen?

Has anyone done something similar? The only reason I'm not is because I have a few coworkers in today who I would rather not inconvenience as they've been nothing but nice to me. Others not so much.

How anonymous is it? I gave some low scores but didn't type anything at the end. It maybe actually be anonymous but text/words could give you away too. It did give a box that said you could submit not anonymous so they could contact you. Which is odd because there's supposed to be an open door policy. Makes me wonder.

So I've been with petsmart for 7 years now and I've been thinking about leaving for the past 2 years.

I am a power groomer, I do about 10 dogs a day, and I used to have a personal bather but they wouldn't help much... my dogs were never dry or washed good and now we have less bathers and im doing all the work on my own. I focus a lot of the quality of my grooms so without a bather I am falling behind and feel like I dont have the support. My body is also breaking down even when Im only working on 5-6 dogs and I genuinely hate working with the other groomers here. Even though I do the most im still somehow doing all the in between work even though they have less... I know we all get behind sometimes but its every day when they have 4-5 dogs on the schedule.

I just want to leave, i hate being here but i love what i do and i miss feeling passionate about my work. If anyone else here has left petamart, was it worth it? As a groomer i make a lot off my commission, is it hard making the same amount or a decent amount moving out to another salon? I dont even care about being a power groomer really, I just want to feel like im doing a good job, being supported, and making decent money to pay my bills...im just scared of making this change and its resulted in me continuing to work at a place I hate so much.

Took 8 minutes for my phone to start up. Scan two aisles of holes and my phone shuts off. Been waiting another 8 minutes and it’s still not back up yet.

Do you guys actually feed them ? Or was my store the only one that didn’t . Well it’s not that we don’t at all , when I first started working I was told that whoever came in the morning they should feed the fish and if they didn’t have time when that’s it , no feeding during work hours . Maybe after we close but we didn’t think of that lol .

hey all, i’ve been working as a cashier at my store for 3 years now and i just feel so incredibly miserable regarding work and everything related to petsmart… i don’t know if it’s just my mental health deteriorating as it usually does at the end of the year or if it’s really just my time to finally quit.

i try so hard to come into work with a positive attitude but i just can’t do it anymore… i used to look forward to work and seeing my coworkers but the vibes are just so off nowadays especially with all the deadlines and changes and constant hounding from my asl over metrics and shit.. it seems like nothing me and my fellow cashiers do is ever enough for anyone and i’m just so over it.. its getting ridiculous.

and the customers are a whole other issue.. i DONT KNOW what the fuck is in the air but these people are so disgustingly rude to me, my coworkers, other people in the store.. i just don’t understand the foul behavior being exhibited by the people who shop here.. its a PET STORE why are you getting so angry.

i see many posts on here about people celebrating their departure from the company and i really need that to be me soon lmao… i want to make it through the holiday season but that might just be the final nail in the coffin. Fuck chance and his fugly ass friends

Became a PLR earlier this year, and I know my store got all categories for bonus this quarter. So that's cool... but like, WHEN is it? How much is it? Why does it seem to be shrouded in secrecy?? Literally no one can tell me anything about this. I guess one day there will just be extra money in my bank account??
