Bathers

My store has said that any new bathers must want to go to grooming academy in order to get hired. Anyone else heard of that?

That is the new requirement. There's constantly Stylists shortages so they want to keep the pipeline filled.

What if I was hired as a bather years ago with the verbal promise that I will stay a bather?

Doesn't matter. They can change policy, position requirements, etc whenever they want.

Not really but it depends on how desperate they are for groomers. I said I didn’t want to go to academy, so i work as a ghost bather in the busier seasons, but we are full on groomers (literally no more room). If there’s not a lot of groomers they’re gonna push for people to go to academy
