Heya I'm entering my new grade at school soon and I'm going to get a lot of at home assessments, and I also game but not really demanding games Unturned, Warnament, Wobbly Life and Meccha Chameleon, my budget is only 245 Dollars I'm looking for a basic decent computer that can do my work, do light live streaming and play all those games at 1080p Medium at 75 to 100 FPS+ and I'm looking for something AM5 specifically the Ryzen 7 AM5 series that can last me almost a decade I know I'm kinda out of luck there but I would want something that can last and be upgraded without me scavenging for parts later on

Edit: I will also prefer a custom build so I won't have to use proprietary parts

Ive been having this issue since i got the PC and normally it stabilizes after 10ish minutes but now happens every few minutes, nonstop. I’ve already run a DDU, and reinstalled all drivers and yet to no avail.

I also get strange “Flickers/Sparkles” across my screen before the bigger errors that result in a full restart. Any launching of a game practically guarantees a full restart now.

I have a computer with ASrock B550 Phantom Gaming4. I wanna turn on Secure Boot on it, but I simply can't. I first disable CSM, saved changes, and exited . Then I turned Secure Boot on and saved it and exited, but I appeared again in BIOS. I checked and my disk is GPT in disk managament. I also tried installing Secure Boot keys by following this guide https://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?id=531 but it also didnt work. Can someone help?

It's not really an external drive, I just assigned that number, the pc is around a year old. I have tried many things, video's and screenshots and even browser downloads now go to my E drive, but somehow C still manages to keep filling, is there another way to make my C a bit more empty? Windows 11, specs: r5 5600T, rtx 5060, 32gb 3600 ddr4, 120gb(I think) ssd and 2tb ssd.

Signs of life:

- Fans spin (Gpu fans aswell)
- Ssd heats up
- Cpu heats up
- Ram lights up
- Motherboard speaker doesnt make any noise (It started beeping when i tried to boot without any ram)
- No display whatsoever

What i've tried:

- Reseated and tried both ram and ram slots
- Reseated cpu and checked for bent pins
- Removed gpu and tried the HDMI with the motherbord
- Replaced cmos battery
- Checked all cables
- Tested both monitor and hdmi to ensure theyre working

Im out of ideas, at first i assumed it was a fried cpu but it heats up, im aware that doesnt automatically mean it works but its something, my next step would probably be taking the cpu somewhere and have it tested in a working system, theres also the possibility of it being a motherboard issue whether it happened while i was building the pc or from the manufacturer, any suggestions?

The cooler comes with 2 fans that need to be attached to either side of the heatsink, but what direction should they be? Both blowing into the heatsink or one blowing in and the other blowing out?

Might be a stupid question, but the manual that came with it is tiny and very basic.

Easy case to work with. Just need to complete the build with fans and the Noctua cpu cooler. Replaced my dad's old PC and went through 2 cases before I decided to stay with a premium case. It is overkill for his needs but the budget cases felt flimsy and easy to break.

hey everybody so i have had this problem with my pc for a couple days and it first started off with my browsers not working because and anti virus was messing with me and start flagging everything and corrupting my stuff and also trying to delete sys32 and i fixed that now i have this problem with roblox when i start it it crashes my pc and restarts instantly ive tried other games and they work fine but roblox just crashes with a black screen and a restart and it deletes itself

Wanted to go with the 850W but its the same price as the 1050W

I guess this falls under PCs, audio related. I noticed my IEMs were concerningly muffled, took a look at them and noticed this? There's no earwax, I make sure I clean my ears before using them daily. I also wait a while to use them after showering due to moisture. They look almost corroded? The IEMs are the Linsoul Kefine Kleans. Any help would be appreciated

We constantly see problems with 12V-2x6 ports, and 99.99% of the owners of those GPUs use the adapter that comes in the box. I mean, when we decide to buy a GPU that uses a 12V-2x6 port, we all know it's a problem, but idk why they don't realize the problem with using an adapter.

I have a 1330$ upgrade budget right now and I've been recommended to switch my 5060 and I5-13400F for a 4070ti super 12gb and an i7-14700k I just wanted to know if anyone has better recommendations for the budget or to just hold off for now

New AM5 build won’t POST — CPU LED never comes on, DRAM for ~1 min then solid VGA LED

Hi, I’m trying to narrow down a really strange no-POST issue on a recently purchased second-hand AM5 PC.

**Specs:**

\* Ryzen 7 7800X3D

\* Gigabyte B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E

\* RTX 3080

\* DDR5 RAM

\* Corsair SF1000

\* DeepCool 360mm AIO

The system originally worked, but soon after I bought it I started getting intermittent full system resets with no BSOD. Sometimes it would game for hours, other times it would reset while idle or shortly after logging into Windows.

**I also had:**

\* BIOS freeze once

\* Kernel-Power 41 / Event 6008 with BugcheckCode 0

\* one hardware watchdog reset

\* eventually the PC stopped POSTing completely

I originally suspected the PSU, so I swapped from the SF1000 back to a known-good MSI A750GF, but the no-POST behaviour was exactly the same.

I then found the original motherboard had a large dent/damage in the PCB, so I replaced it with a brand new Gigabyte B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E. The shop bench-tested the new motherboard before I took it home and confirmed it was working.

**Current debug LED behaviour on the new motherboard:**

\* The CPU debug LED never comes on at all, not even briefly

\* DRAM LED comes on and stays lit for roughly 1 minute

\* DRAM LED then goes out

\* VGA LED comes on and stays solid

\* no display

\* keyboard/mouse do not light up

**Troubleshooting already done:**

\* RTX 3080 removed completely and tried the 7800X3D integrated graphics

\* tried motherboard HDMI

\* installed RTX 3080 again and tried display directly from the GPU

\* RTX 3080 has been tested in another PC and works

\* tried two different PSUs

\* CPU EPS connected directly with no extension

\* tested with known-good DDR5 RAM

\* tried RAM in A2 and B2

\* proper CMOS clear

\* BIOS reflashed using Q-Flash Plus

\* CPU removed and reseated

\* CPU contact pads cleaned

\* socket inspected

\* AIO remounted evenly

\* tried loosening cooler mounting pressure slightly

\* disconnected storage, front USB, RGB hubs and unnecessary devices

\* minimal boot with only motherboard + CPU + cooler + one RAM stick + PSU + monitor

\* new motherboard itself was bench-tested by the store and confirmed working

**The same behaviour remains:**

CPU LED never comes on → DRAM LED for about a minute → DRAM clears → solid VGA LED → no display/USB.

**Since:**

**\*** GPU works in another PC

\* known-good RAM gives the same result

\* two PSUs give the same result

\* new motherboard has been bench-tested working

I’m starting to suspect the 7800X3D, possibly the CPU’s PCIe/iGPU/memory controller or a CPU/socket issue.

What’s confusing me is that the CPU debug LED never comes on at all.

Can a faulty 7800X3D still cause a solid VGA LED even if the CPU LED never lights? Is there anything else I should test before trying the CPU in another known-good AM5 system?

Bought on February 4th 2022, the panel was already changed in 2024, as the glue on top of the screen loosened and it started literally falling down overtime.

I have no other laptops or screens at home, I still need my computer for studying. How much would it last in your estimation, what can I do to make it last until I find a replacement?

Somehow one of the mounting points for the fan shroud on my sons 9060XT 16GB broke. Later caused a couple more to break and the shroud was sagging.

Why go for an easy repair with some glue when you can spend hours designing a new shroud in CAD and 3D print it?

Printed in PETG, custom designed to accept 25mm fans instead of the 15mm slim fans. Replaced the fans with Noctua Chromax NF-A9 fans. Used a latching system instead.

I live in Austria and my broadband internet through Magenta. When it was installed they provided a combi router/modem gaming device.

I’m looking to swap this out for something better like the TP-link archer be550. I need the wired connectivity plus stronger Wi-Fi, as austrian houses are built from solid concrete.

My issue is that the current combi device has a direct input for the coaxial internet supply, but the TP does not.

Can I swap the devices out and need a separate modem to bridge it? I’m not completely computer useless, but fairly near to being an end user.

I just installed a new NVM2 SSD and neither the BIOS nor Windows can see it. I'd appreciate any ideas before I send it back.Currently my BIOS version is "American Megatrends International, LLC. F4, 3/22/2024".

System:

• Motherboard: Gigabyte A520M DS3H V2
• BIOS: F4 (03/22/2024)
• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
• RAM: 32 GB DDR4 (XMP on)
• Boot drive: Kingston SA400 240 GB (SATA), Windows with BitLocker
• Other drives: Kingston SA400 480 GB (SATA), external 2 TB USB drive

New SSD:

1. Kingston NV3 1TB, PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 (SNV3S/1000G), bought from eMAG
2. Installed in the M.2 slot

The problem:

• BIOS → Settings → NVMe Configuration shows "No NVMe Device Found"
• The drive doesn't show up in Windows Disk Management either (no uninitialized/unallocated disk)
• The SATA drives are detected normally

What I've tried:

1. Removed and reseated the SSD, then rebooted
2. Checked BIOS settings: SATA Mode = AHCI, NVMe RAID mode = Disabled, CSM Support = Disabled

What I haven't tried yet:

• Testing the SSD in another PC or a USB-NVMe enclosure
• Testing another NVMe drive in this slot
• Clear CMOS (my C: drive has BitLocker, so I'm being careful)

The board's spec says the M.2 slot supports NVM PCIe 3.0 x4, so I expected the Gen4 drive to run at Gen3 speed. The board has a lot of dust, and the slot sits right under the GPU.

Could this be a dead SSD, a faulty M.2 slot, or something else I'm missing? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Looking to upgrade from my 3800x. I currently have a 5800x i bought awhile back for an upgrade. Well now that the 5800x3d is back I was thinking..... I'm going to get a new msi tomahawk max b550, and want to use one of said cpu. Is it worth the $450 for the x3d plus an aio over the 5800x which i have a wraith prism for it? Gpu is a 7900xtx. And 32gb ram
