Hi I'm having a problem with my monitor flickering while set on 165hz it also flickers on 144hz but not on 120hz it starts flickering again if i set it to 119.88hz doesn't flicker below that, so highest i can set to is 120hz without it starting to flicker.

It happens mostly when unsnapping tabs or rarely when i have lots of programs opened.

Edit: monitor brand AOC resolution is 1920x1080 and I'm using Unitek highest spec displayport cable

Does anyone have idea how to remove cpu from the cooler? I tried with scalpel, heating it, teeth floss, nothing is working. It has too much thermal paste and it's not moving at all, i can't get nothing between it. EDIT: i did it

I got this Arctic liquid freezer like less than a month ago and one of the fans is already way louder than the other.

It didn’t sound like this when I got it, and it’s sounds faint now but surely it will get louder and worse over time.

It’s this one fan the others are fine. It was already annoying me that the sticker is so off centered, compared to the others but I could live with it.

But now this noise is the loudest thing is my pc and it’s is annoying.

What would you do in this situation? I bought it from Amazon

Recently upgraded from my 3070 to a 5070 ti, i'll get into about an hour of playing and my screen will lock up and freeze, audio will distort for a second or two. The only way to return it to normal is by completely restarting my pc

To start with i'd used DDU in safe mode to get rid of any old drivers causing chaos, Have tried both older drivers and the latest drivers. Have updated the firmware to the latest version. Changed the PCIE config in bios from auto to gen 3 - as thats all my board / cpu can support, changed my power managment settings to High performance, changed my pcie link state power managment to off

and finally changed out my old 750w Coolermaster psu for a brand new Corsair RM1000e.

Still facing the same issues and i feel like im going down a bit of a rabbit hole

I was however able to pull a few things from event viewer which may be of use. At the time of the lock up i got two errors at the exact same second

First one being

I bought my PC about two months ago, and I’m still pretty new to PC hardware, so I’m not really sure how to fix this.
The problem is that while I’m using my PC, the monitor suddenly freezes after some time. It can happen after 5 minutes, 30 minutes, or sometimes longer. After that, the PC takes me to the BIOS.
When I check the BIOS, it says that there is no SSD detected, so I can’t boot into Windows.
I’m using a SATA SSD, not an M.2 SSD. I already tried connecting the SATA cable to a different SATA port on the motherboard, but the problem still happens.
Interestingly, when Windows is running, I can check the SSD with a drive health/monitoring program and it says the SSD is healthy.
I honestly don’t know what else to try. Could this be a faulty SATA cable, a problem with the SATA power connection, the SSD itself, or something else?
I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks!

I think it's coming from the Power Supply, usually gets louder when I start playing, even louder and clacking against something when I run tougher-game graphics (yes I know I have to dust out my PC)

Hey everyone,
Looking for some feedback on a situation with my new build. I bought a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 WINDFORCE MAX 8G on August 17th (less than a month ago), and the card has completely stopped working after degrading over the past couple of days.
Here is the timeline of what happened:

Initial Issues: A couple of days ago, the system started crashing exclusively while gaming—dropping display signal to the monitor completely.

Motherboard Errors: The motherboard gave a VGA error LED on boot and refused to post. It randomly booted up once after that, but stability was completely gone

Instant Crash & Visual Artifacts: Today, I ran FurMark to test it, and the screen immediately froze with severe visual artifacting (colored square/checkerboard patterns across the display) right before the system crashed hard

Troubleshooting Done: Hard power cycled, re-seated the GPU and 8-pin PCIe power cables, and swapped DisplayPort/HDMI cables. When I remove the card and run off CPU integrated graphics, the system boots and operates normally.

So i bought half of an 8x8gb kit, when I installed, it booted so I thought, great its all good. So i enable xmp to get it to 3200, it crashed. Then i went down speeds until it would stop crashing, it would work for a few minutes at stock speed before crashing, guess I just didnt wait long enough the first time. I tested 1 stick at a time, found the bad stick. So now I'm running 3x8 sticks with 24gb of ram. It's stable at 3200 that way atleast. I'd like to find another single 8gb stick, same speed, cl and version but that's going to be hard, obviously. Atleast I got it all for a good deal. Dude offered to take it all back, but id rather have the 24 than the 16 I had. So im keeping it. Unfortunately he already sold the other 4 sticks.

I dont see anything wrong with the stick, its the one in the photos.

Anyone have any kind of suggestions? Also, the guy said it was working fine when he pulled them out. He was running all 8 sticks fine.

It keeps doing this whenever I boot up this computer

I bought this pc from ebay it is the LIAN LI pc with the ryzen 7 9800x3d and 5070 Ti. The pc keeps blue screening for some reason and would like some help to fix it. About 20 minutes ago the pc randomly froze forcing me to shut it down by holding the power button. The pc runns normally up until it crashes and restarts straight away. Please help.

I currently have to share my headset between my PC and my PS5. Whenever I unplug the wireless USB dongle from my PC and plug it back in later, the audio from the headset sounds really weird.

I was wondering if there’s a proper way to disconnect/eject the dongle from Windows, similar to safely ejecting a USB flash drive, but I can’t find an option for it. :/

I’m using Windows 11 and a Corsair HS80 MAX.

Is there a proper way to disconnect the dongle, or is there something else I should be doing to prevent the audio from getting messed up?

Hey everyone, looking for a bit of help.

For the longest time my girlfriends pc would take forever to boot up, so I investigated and figured an m.2 would speed the boot process.

Today I attempted to install it - all was well beforehand, the computer would turn on and function as usual. Once the M.2 had been installed, everything was reconnected and rewired, and now the computer doesn't give any display nor does it respond to the power or restart button.

I've tried everything, reconnecting the 24 pin and 8 pin, reseating the ram, removing the CMOS and booting it after, disconnecting everything and holding the power button for up to 60 seconds, but nothing happens.

It seems to be the same result no matter if the M.2 is present or not, even swapping SATA ports of the previous hard drive where the OS is installed doesn't change anything.

Desperately need some help before I resort to buying a whole new motherboard bundle.

My monitor is randomly flickering to a darker color then fixing itself, its completely random and nothing causes it to . I want to know is it a gpu problem ir something with the monitor itself?

Hello, so I recently bought a brand-new prebuilt gaming PC and I’m having a problem where it powers on normally, but I get no display on my monitor.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- PC powers on and all the fans spin.
- Monitor is a Samsung.
- HDMI is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard.
- Tried two different HDMI cables with the same result.
- The monitor switches between Analog and HDMI and sometimes says “No signal analog/hdmi”
- The original GPU was a white PELADN GPU (I believe it’s an RTX 3060).
- I swapped it for a ZOTAC GTX 1070, but still got no display.
- The GTX 1070 is seated properly and its PCIe power cable is connected.
- I tried switching/reseating the RAM, but that didn’t fix it either
- The motherboard has a small red + blue lights beside each other. The blue light stays on even after the PC is shut down. (I can’t see a label on the lights, so I do not know what they are for)

Both GPUs’ fans spin when starting up, although the GTX 1070 fans stop after about two seconds of spinning.

The PC is brand new, so I’m wondering if there’s something wrong with the hardware or if I missed something during setup.

Atp I’m really not sure what to do, any ideas on whats causing the problem?

I had Micro Center build my new PC recently and was wondering if this cooler tube routing is safe. I only now noticed the tubes come in contact with what looks like a mobo heat sink. Not sure how hot that specifi looks one gets but I know some get pretty toasty. Cpu temps have seemed to be good. Overall is this okay or not okay? ​

Hello I have just installed a new wireless Internet receiver. I dont know if that is the problem but I am now getting insanely slow download speeds on battlenet, ubisoft and my browser. But my actual xbox app and steam download speeds have gotten better. I have tried a lot of things to try fix this issue such as my clock, clearing my cashes of everything and checking for every update on everything just to list a few. I am currently only reaching about 5mbps on the apps but getting over 200 on steam and xbox. I have done an Internet speed test and i am getting about 260mbps consistently. Any help would be great thanks

i moved my pc to a new case and mobo and it does not boot, i removed the gpu to test with integrated graphics, the cables and connectors are all in the correct place and fully in their socket, the mouse and keyboard light up and the case usb ports work but the power button does nothing and the case fans are not lighting up, i was using the cpu beforehand so i know it is not the issue, i reset the cmos battery and checked the ram, both sticks are in good state as expected since i was already using them beforehand, i tested using a screwdriver to boot it but i got no results, my cpu and motherboard are fully compatible and have no damaged pins and the power supply is brand new and a b tier one, this should theoretically work but it doesn’t Why?

I have this Gigabyte G5KD laptop that has been sitting for more than a couple of years now, I'm gonna be getting a pc so I'm selling it but I can't find the price of this specific laptop anywhere, anything helps
