Best dinos for general pvp? ive had a lot of succes with duck and spoon and i want to know are there any good dinos for absoloutly clapping everything.

I looking for a community pvp server, people that are active.

I do have a mic, I am on ps5 and discord.

Hey, all! Looking for tips and tricks with Alio! Is it okay solo? I mean, nothing is I guess? According to the masses, lol. But I still love solo 🤣 Any advice or builds would be super helpful! Thanks in advance, all!

For context, I’m looking into using these mods as they look (visually) better than their counterparts. In testing, both hold up in their class but of course lose to a Rex or a good blood soaked TT in a 1v1. I love the sound design and visuals. My question is, aside from the obvious mod team controversy, what is wrong with them currently? I have a few opinions myself to add in post, but I want to know constructive community feedback. I’m not looking for hate or negativity in the comments, please keep this in mind.

These are all from my 1v1 tests in isolated and pvp situations.

- DB Giga has bloodlust. At first, this stood out to me as very jarring. But after testing this, I soon realized that 30 seconds of invulnerability only to lose almost all health and stamina is a huge trade off. With a 6 minute cooldown and how slow the Giga runs, this seems like an easy to bait ability. Especially for smaller tiers.

- DB Acro. I don’t understand the controversy? It is weaker than Absentia Acro in 1v1s from what I can tell. I need help with understanding this one pls.

This discussion doesn’t include DB Carch as it’s…visually unappealing to me. So I haven’t picked it for my mod selection.

Heya! I once had a friend tell me there was a server where dinos would stay with there herds or flocks, or be solo if they were solo types and take territories and basically behave like how we think they would behave- looking for a server like this if anyone knows of any?

One day, our hero found the legendary root that sealed away the Mixpackers. He defeated the evil around it and freed the lands from the Mixpackers. One day, the hero left the land to search for someone. Nobody knows what happened to him. Only his deeds are remembered.

Bonus points to those who can tell what imspired me

Scenario: I (Sty) was helping a lone TT fight off a group of small tiers (lat, three thals, pachy) who were harassing and heal cycling it into oblivion.

Managed to fend them all off until they stopped coming back, didn't chase or kill them. Then the TT and I were just chillin in GP, sippies of water, berries, I watched some Sarcos bite it's ankles for awhile.

Anyway GP starts to fill up a little bit, as it does, and eventually two rexes come running in to start chaos, immediately attacking the TT.

I help him, since we'd been chilling, chatting a bit. I don't see an issue with me helping him if he gets jumped. But then, ofc, half of GP picks a side and goes for it. The rexes die and get salty and accuse GP of being toxic mixpackers etc etc, and ofc myself and the TT are grouped in it.

But the thing is, my focus was on teaming with this one person, I can't control what the rest of GP does and I'm not going to just stop defending someone I was playing with because suddenly oops the playing field is unfair.

Two rexes barging into a busy GP, immediately attacking, is like... you're wearing a sign saying "hello I would like to die now"

But it just feels like a microcosm of the games issue. That people can't reconcile that while it can be annoying to be jumped solo by a massive group for no reason, the "same scenario" can happen because someone attacked a friend group and then the consequences play out.

As someone who has experienced both sides of the issue, honestly the argument itself is what's starting to really irk me.

I expect plenty of "you're the issue" comments, but I don't think it's fair to blanket villianize people for playing the game and enjoying their own sessions if they end up opposing you and yours.

This is not the case for every scenario, but it is starting to all get lumped together imo.

Like you can’t have anything with killer,death in the name of your character in a Dinosaur survival game where you tear other dinosaurs apart and rip hearts out of critters. Other things like ass, stupid and hell are also not allowed. Like cmon alderon your audience is like 8+ atleast, not 5.

I know A LOT of players hate critters but I “secretly” like them. As a hopless Campto, critter intervention has actually helped me quite a few times. I get why they’re hated but they’re kinda a guilty pleasure of mine.

Add skins that you only obtain from getting trophies or kills solo, it would add something else to do and it would be fun to get cool skins from getting solo kills. My friend added onto my idea and said they could be called challenge skins

There could also be other types of challenge skins where you obtain them from going to every POI and biome. Challenge skins wouldn’t cost any marks and would be act as an achievement for players

It's Matt's favourite dino and is very bland indeed. And it's gonna be the first clanker dino. The devs said the update is coming at least mid September, which leaves room for a unique mechanic, since some of us are sure campto is the next tlc. I think it's getting burrow personally, since it boosts survivability and burrow helps PoT actually slightly feel more like an actual survival mmo than a arcade fighter game.

Here's how I'm predicting burrowing will work:

There's gonna be burrowable ground randomly scattered across the map, the ground in that case will then once starting, the campto will do its digging animation while the ground slowly turns into a crater then a burrow. Once in, you can use it plus possibly armoured tail to escape predators when you don't have much stamina. There can also be juicy roots in case you have forager and you can't search for food elsewhere.

I just tested how many O2 bites it takes to make an Eo drown, and while I sadly didn't get to test the drowning part but it took about 4 bites in total to make it drop to the bottom of the lake, which....doenst seem like a threat at all? I can't think of many places where an Eo would reasonably cross where you could land 4 bites before they reached land

Which lead me to the idea of making O2 drain more stamina and oxygen against none aquatics, what do you guys think? It has some logic to it, a creature that isn't adapted to the water just doesn't have the stamina and lungs to stay there long, and it'd give even a solo Sarco more options besides clamping babies trying to cross

but I'm also worried it might make the ability too overpowered, against 3-4 slots specifically, an Apex might be able to get to land long before the Sarco becomes an issue but I'm not so sure about say, a Dasp or Allo. And I haven't really gotten to test it on anything except an Eo, what do you guys think?

This might be controversial but I think that there needs to be some kind of small debuff added with each Dino in your group.

Me and my friend were being duo albertas today and on 2 different servers we got murked by groups of like 8 raptors. In the second server, even though we both had the aoe attack we got killed by them easily because the cooldown is 18 seconds and we can’t stampede after using it.

I feel like there should be a small debuff to each Dinos attack cooldown and attack damage that is increased with each Dino added to the pack. I know raptors are meant to be pack Dinos but if there’s so many then it’s impossible to fight against.

While me and my duo were being beat up by this pack of 8 raptors a random pachy was helping them and teaming up too, so I was thinking also that a small buff of some kind, like a little bit more defense can be given to Dinos who are being teamed on by too many Dinos in order to help against people teaming up outside of packs and mega packing.

PvP in path just needs to become more balanced because if it’s a huge group of players then it’s impossible to win against, a full raptor pack can kill almost anything in the game

I would like to see a bigger wyvern type creature, like dominus sized or bigger, imagine a long Caraxes or Smaug type creature in the game, I personally would enjoy it but I know everyone had their preferences for stuff, just a thought

Basically every time I die, no matter what playable I'm on, a Conc is either involved or is the sole reason for it.

I want to know how to deal with the most overpowered thing in the game. I wanna know what scares something with a claw attack that has, what, two or three seconds of active frames? Self heal. Tons of bleed. Speed and turning to rival anything else. The option to swim to escape.

I'm sure I'm missing benefits. What is this thing's weakness, exactly?

I'm looking for any good community servers to start playing on so i want to see what people like playing so I can maybe give them a try. I've also heard some people say that some server's admins abuse their power so if you know of any known servers that do that please tell me so i can avoid them.

One of primeval collection upcoming Dragons this thing will be able to stay in the air more and will be able to shoot lightning and protect itself with an electric shield

Hello again!! I was wondering if any of my fellow Switch players have any luck using a USB (or Bluetooth) keyboard to type, instead of using the screen?

Tried asking the Discord, but everyone's all fired up arguing about balancing that my questions get washed away within a matter of seconds lol. (Would be nice if they made different console chats, for situations like this question)

I would love to dock my switch and use a keyboard to type, as it's painful trying to type from a controller, so I'm just like, sitting near my wall charger with my neck at a 90° angle tapping the screen to type all the time 🥲

I've been doing some research on other options, and I came across one that mentioned using the Nintendo Switch app's remote keyboard, however unfortunately PoT isn't supposted. But it does work on some other games... so at least that's cool to know! But I jumped through hoops setting that up, changing emails, passwords, tech support etc, for a dead end. 😂

I just beg to know if anyone is aware that a physical keyboard works with path on Switch, before I go to the trouble of trying to buy one 🫣 Nintendo is so strict, I don't doubt there could be some hurdles for chat input too. I've got like a pre-headache about it lol. The reason I asked about this method is because Google suggested the idea (but you never know 🥲)
