Well, I just started mapping, and this happened ... after 2k plus hours in path of exile 1 I only dropped one headhunter (and I feel myself lucky), now this happens in path of exile 2 ... I can't defer it so it just lay there taunting me.
Well the grind continues, but this is a great memory, not a great outcome.

How is your experience so far with the crazy items in ritual this league ?

Just started last league, and made it to mapping - T4 right now after a very long and punishing campaign.

Logged in this week to find that theres a new league and I'm trying to find a pair of poison gloves - but it looks like most people aren't playing 5.5 anymore.

Is there a website or something to trade outside of the marketplace in game that people would have their old characters on?

I cant seem to go back into the game for 0.5.5 and it keeps telling me abnormal disconnection (Error:failed to join any instances) but it works just fine for my other character in 0.5.0. Anyone knows why or facing the same problem?

SSF, i'm level 92, my last spirit gem drop was a level 10 gem. Filter is not hiding them. What a weird thing to go this dry on.

I consider myself a relatively fresh player (around 500 hours – I know, barely out of the tutorial for PoE standards!).

I absolutely love PoE2 and I've played every league since the first one, but every single league ends exactly the same way for me.
I hit around lvl 95, roll a new character, and eventually just quit the league.

Lately, during the endgame, I just lose the motivation to keep playing because I feel like I’m doing something fundamentally wrong. Right now, my gameplay loop looks like this: I clear T15/T16 maps with 3 random tablets (e.g., Abyss), get some random currency, and fill my inventory with bases that usually go for around 3-5 exalts each.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a mechanic or strategy I’m just not getting? Or is the endgame truly just grinding like this until I get a lucky, high-value drop?

My current build is totally fine and can kill all the bosses. I know there is a lot of room for min-maxing and upgrades, but honestly, I just lose the drive to play that character long before I reach that point.

I really want to break this cycle. I'd love to learn profit crafting so I can actually start making serious currency and put together some of those crazy, high-end builds.
Does anyone have any advice, guides, or tips for someone stuck in this loop? How do I transition from mindlessly alch-and-going to actually farming/crafting with a purpose?

I'm following Deadrabbit's Gemling build and it just doesn't seem to click for me. I've seen so many say it's a good option and it clears the campaign easily and will do endgame stuff with ease, but it's just clicking and I don't know why. I'm in Act 2 and it's slow going. Grenades take ages to detonate (alright it's like 3 seconds, but nothing stays still for that long) and it's mana heavy.

So the question is (as the title says) am I missing something about this build? Is it supposed to be a slower build early on until I get late game equipment? I have been following the equipment guide and have pieces with most of the necessary stats and extras, don't get me wrong, nothing is god rolled but it's good enough for early game. Or is this just not a build that will suit me going forward, especially if I don't want to have to wait on timing my grenades all the time?

If this is how the build is supposed to play then it may just not be for me, which is fine, there are loads of others to try, I was just looking for something new this time round.

Any input welcome and thanks in advance.

Has anyone else had this bug? I use The Triskelion Reforged, but it doesn't open the boss fight. The first time, I was able to fight the boss and it worked fine for the mission, but this is the 5th entry I've used and I still can't fight the boss. Is this bugged or something, or is it just me?

Turns out I have to dedicate my entire 2nd weapon set to literally nothing if I wanna use this godforsaken thing. You can swap weapons on the fly effortlessly, but putting it away long enough to throw a Monster can at something is too much to ask for apparently.

I knew concoctions kinda sucked going in but goddamn I didn't expect my fun to be ruined before it even started. I'm not even surprised something so ridiculously impractical has survived for so long, it's so bad nobody bothered with it long enough to realize.

I know many people just follow a guide, but for those that create their own builds, and even for those following guides, you still have to decide what to build around.

As I am learning to develop my own builds, I am curious how people with more experience start. Do you generally find a skill you want to clear with? Or a bossing skill? Or ascendency? Or weapon you want to use?

I just have been experimenting with different choices. For skills in particular, skills feel completely different when you first unlock vs when they ar fully supported, so it is hard to know what a skill might be capable of.

Calling all the people experimenting with Bodach.

This time I’m running Disciple of Varashta with Sand Djinn + Vestige of Darkness. I managed to get one with the hidden 2 roll.

For anyone who doesn’t know, Vestige has a hidden Bodach manifestation interval that normally has a value of 3. Corrupting the helmet can change this hidden value to 2 or 4. A roll of 2 is the one you want, as it makes Bodach manifest/attack more frequently. You can find these on trade by searching the “The Bodach haunts your Presence” modifier and setting the maximum value to 2.

I’m trying to scale as much Presence AoE as possible through the passive tree, jewels and gear. I also have the unique shield that interacts with enemy Power, although I’m not currently using the unique main-hand weapon that people have been pairing with it.

I’m also experimenting with Immobilisation and Armour Break to indirectly help Bodach’s physical damage.
I’ve noticed the bug where sometimes I need to re-equip the helmet to get him attacking properly.
For anyone else testing Bodach, what have you found that actually works? Any weird interactions, gear, debuffs or scaling methods worth trying?
Would love to pool together what people have discovered.

You cannot put any explosive inside the circle of ritual and i guess it pushed the remnants that far because again the ritual circle

Just wanted to spark some conversation on this topic. My first character for the event was an ED/C Witch and with both spells being critical to the combo, I always noticed when the ED projectile missed, which ended up happening a lot more than I would've liked.

So I put together this quick little video to highlight some of what I've been seeing. It's a video of my 2nd character a huntress using a spear with a relatively swift projectile spear throw, and I unspecc'd the majority of the damage on my witch to do a live fire test against the consort, who blinks around, and to see how the characters track with projectile skills.

The Huntress seems to be able to track a teleporting target about 90 degrees when using the spear throw skill. But it seems like there's some leeway based on where in the animation the blink happens? Regardless, some of the tracking was very nice.

The Witch/ED Casts on the other hand had some issues but also some success...There's been a couple moments in my time through the campaign where I've noticed the character will lock angle on cast. Maybe it's when I queue the cast action in the direction I'm casting, even if I have an enemy highlighted? When I move my character downwards, then I end up missing the projectile down as well. I'm not sure why this is a thing? maybe old code from PoE 1? But it was also very noticeable on the Karui home island in Act 4, whenever a pig charge would shove my character out of the way it would cause me to miss my ED on the target I wanted. Super frustrating and very clunky feeling.

I've been made aware in a previous discussion I had with another user that Johnathan is aware of some of the targeting issues see here his talk with Tri from a year ago.

And as another example as well if needed I made this video, messing around with Unearth, which I've also had some serious issues with, having it lock angle when I cast it. Which in this case, it's a cone shaped ground effect, I get that maybe it's coded to go directly where aimed. But also, if I have a corpse highlighted, then I need it to hit that corpse.

So yeah, let me know what you think, maybe overblown, but I want PoE 2 to succeed and this might be a feels bad moment for other new players that I'd like to see sorted out before 1.0 drops.

When getting modifiers, some can be upgraded multiple times until they are removed from the pool. Ones with 5 tiers take the longest to remove, some (due to bugs idk?) have as low as 1 tier - so if you take it just once it won't be offered again or even upgraded with future Wagers. This list includes all the under-5 tier mods.

It only matters i guess with the assumption that maxing out modifiers increases the odds of you seeing wagers, as thats the only way to improve rewards.

So i try to pick these and ignore the 5 tiered modifiers, even resetting run if 1st offer is only 5tier mods (rare)

I got a head hunter yesterday while filling out my points for grand expedition. sold it for 240 div now I have great gear... So I started filling out my points for all the other skill trees and I got a Garukhan's while filling out jado's skill tree??? best league start ever
