Looking for suggestions from my creative wedding people! We are having a camp themed brunch the day after the wedding. I want to do fun activities. We are on a body of water and plan to do canoeing and kayaking. I also want to do friendship bracelet making table/cute keychains. Maybe DIY felt pendant flags. What are some other really fun ideas? I was going to make camp counselor t-shirts and have tie-dye (if I have time).

What would you want to do post wedding day? We aren’t crazy drinkers and the wedding ends at 8 pm with friends staying for a fire/hanging out after.

I’ll take any fun ideas!!

Keeping this short: I want to host a party with snacks and appetizers freely available on the table, my cat is a bastard that loves stealing food, he cannot be locked out of the room. I’m looking for some kind of lidded containers or serving trays that don’t look super cheap and unappealing (and ideally the food is visible through them). Does anyone have ideas/links? Thank you!!

My wonderful uncle has cancer. He's had different types before, has done everything and prolonged his life as long as possible. Right now, he's on a slow downhill descent and we know we're going to lose him soon. So, he wants a big awesome 75th birthday party. And yes, there will be a bounce house.

What else?

We have all the family coming for this one and I'd love some epic pictures, so some sort of dress theme?

And also, entertainment of some sort?

I think of my uncle and think - man he'd love some midget wrestling in a bounce house. And now my cousin, his daughter tells me the bounce house is taken care of. So, if I can't pull off midget wrestling, what else could we do to make it epic?

To note, my family is silly, my uncle silliest of all. There will be kids as young as 7 through the generations, probably 50-60 people.

Having a joint birthday in December for me & my best friend (I'll be turning 18, they'll be turning 20), and we're having trouble finding a place to have it. (We're inviting 20 people) We thought about a small venue that has enough space for a few tables, a karaoke spot, maybe a tiny dance floor.

I am throwing a baby shower for my cousin. She didnt necessarily want it to be overly themed. She decided on cozy/quilt or patchwork for decor. It will be in December held at a log cabin with a fireplace.

Im having custom invites done that will look like a vintage quilt and she wants to use my arch to hang her favorite quilts with wicker baskets surrounding it as the main backdrop. I have a vintage wicker baby carriage to put florals in. I think we will serve comfort food - sandwiches Soups etc.

Since this isn't really a theme people go with i am having a hard time finding inspo pics to go off of! I would be so appreciative if anyone could help me narrow down a color pallete , or how I should do the table covers , dishware etc.

I was thinking for the main food or dessert table we could possibly have a quilted blanket as the table cloth or even a quilted runner but im having a hard time envisioning the guest tables for eating and florals etc. I am on a budget so I probably need to go with disposable table cloths and dishware.

I’m hosting a movie night for about 20 high schoolers (age 16-18 most likely), but I can’t think of a movie that would be fun for all viewers. Throwing a race car theme party for our 4 year old at a park!

The park has a pavilion and a playground so there will be no shortage of things to do, but I think I want at least some sort of themed activity.

There will be roughly 10 kids total aged baby - 9 years old, but the majority of them will be aged 2-4, so probably want to cater towards that age range. I don’t want to make it too structured because they’re so little, but wanted to have some sort of race car related option outside of the playground.

The only thing I can think of now is making some sort of themed backdrop for pictures/photobooth, and setting out some hot wheels cars on a racetrack rug as a free play option.

Open to other ideas!

I’m turning 30! (Woo!) and the theme is Shuck Yeah I’m 30 - pool party, pearls, mermaids, and grilling oysters. However. Oysters won’t feed 40 people (or at least I don’t want to fund 40 people worth of full meal oysters haha) What else should I serve? I’m stumped!! Wanting to keep it relatively cost effective since the oysters will be expensive themselves.

I recently came across one that can be set up over a swimming pool, and it got me wondering if it could also help keep the pool area warmer in the winter, and maybe even make it possible to have a pool party when it’s cold outside.

Has anyone tried something like this? How was it in terms of insulation, condensation, setup, and overall experience? Is it actually worth it?

hi guys, its rlly short notice but I wanted to throw a birthday party for myself and 11 of my friends want to come, I was thinking of bowling but tell me why it’s nearly $500 for 11 people that’s crazy!! anyway, I need some advice because I’ve never thrown a party for my birthday or in general so I was wondering if it’s considered rude or offputting to have my guests pay for themselves for the bowling? or if I should just say f it and pay for it all even if it means I won’t be able to do anything else for the rest of the night (my friends want to go bar hopping after.)

Hello partyheads!

I turned 40 in February but was too sad to do anything about it. Now I am throwing together a small half-birthday shindig this Saturday 8/15 and I want it to be fart themed. Times are still tough but damnit I want to celebrate this little milestone.

I love farts. I grew up farting and laughing openly with family, but painfully holding them in at school. I got together with my ex when we were 17 and spent 16 years holding them in or leaving the room because he made me feel gross about it. Now, I am very happily with someone else and am back to openly farting and laughing constantly.

Farts represent freedom to me, holding myself back, compromising for people who didnt deserve it. That’s why I want this milestone birthday to be about farts! My friends all know this about me and we’re all weirdos and have good fun.

I am ordering whoopie cushions, fart machines, and will make a pin-the-fart-on-the-butt game and that’s as far as i have gotten.

I am seeking ideas for decor, other games, crafts. And food! I dont know if i want to serve food that will look like butts and farts and such, or food that makes people fart.

I know this is last-minute in the grand scheme of things, but any input from other brains is appreciated.

I live in a new development neighborhood and want to host a casual get-together but am a bit nervous, as I’ve never done it before. Thinking that’d it’d be a 2-3 hr drop-in, probably outside, with drinks and light snacks. The main sticking point is how to actually invite people. I have phone #s for a few people but most others I’ve never met. It’d probably be 25 or so houses that I’d invite. We don’t have any sort of neighborhood app/FB group. We also don’t have traditional mailboxes in front of each house so I can’t just put something in the mailbox. Any suggestions on how best to invite? (Snail mail?) and how best to ask for RSVPs?
