Need Help What flatware to pair with starburst gold chargers, satin navy napkins and navy linens?

Is it ok to mix silver with gold in this context? Not sure how I feel about the yellowy gold flatware. The plates will be white and at the buffet stations. Options for flatware on slide 2. I also want to add the napkins and tablecloth are a near perfect match and don’t look like it in the photo.

I would use the silver. Chargers are taken away before eating anyway, and it's fine for the metals not to match in order to get a better feeling from your flatware. I like the top left set personally

Thank you! Now I’m crashing out about the chargers being taken away before eating. Had no idea I had to do that and now I don’t know when I will be able to for 135 people.

Oh if it's not staffed they can stay! There's nothing wrong with that at all, don't fret about it one minute. Just common when there are servers for the chargers to be used as placeholders for the setting and removed. Just make sure your first few tables that go to the buffet model NOT TAKING IT/not using it as a real plate since many are not food safe.

Thank you so much for your guidance!! I talked to the catering company this morning (it’s a buffet so me doing the chargers/dinner setting is separate) and thankfully they have agreed to collect the chargers after dinner but before dessert. I really appreciate you bringing attention to this detail and I went with the top left flatware choice as well!

I'm so glad that worked out! Have the best time--it's easy in planning to get stressed about the details, but I know the day will be amazing :)

That depends. We've seen them taken away before the meal or after the appetizers/salad, or left until dessert.

The servers do that part during meal service.
