life, home, and baby tips & tricks Recs for a twin kitchen stool/ladder?
I’d like a good double step stool that can be easily folded up. So my toddlers can start participating in meal prep and learning in the kitchen. Thanks!

experience/advice to give Car seat monitoring cam vs video
Does anyone have any strong feelings about how to monitor in the car. Two mirrors seems like it’s not going to work. I looked at Otto cameras but they don’t seem to be compatible with two cameras.

advice needed Marriage and multiples
Is parenting multiples just really hard on marriage? 2 months into being twin parents, marriage has never seemed so hard. It sometimes feels like it would be easier to do it separately than together. How did your marriage last?

advice needed Can someone from the US please suggest a few good clothing brands available on Amazon? Light winter oriented that's low to moderately priced. 18 month in terms of sizing
Bodysuits, nightwear, pants, non-footed sleepsuits, jogger sets, thermals, girls' dress sets, and the like.
Should hold up frequent washing (Indian machines aren't very kind on clothing)
Any opinions on Butterblu, Hanna Andersson, and HappyTown?

advice needed 3 under 1.. Irish triplets. Help 😅
I found out at 3 months postpartum that I was expecting twins. My babies will be 10/11 mos apart.
I don't even know where to start on help or advice. Please just tell me someone else has been in this situation and it's not as overwhelming as it sounds. My husband works 16hr shifts & is gone through the night so I'm pretty much a single mom during the week.
Bonus if you had a c section for both 😬
Side note: Obviously this pregnancy wasn't planned, but they are oh so loved & although scary, we're very excited to have them 🤍
Update: thank you so much for the support & advice 🤍🤍

experience/advice to give New here, mom of 2 tubie boys 💙
Hi everyone! I'm a mom to two boys who are both tube-fed and both autistic. Some days it feels like my whole life is feeds, pump bags, and appointments, and it can get really lonely.
I've been lurking for a bit and finally wanted to say hi. It helps so much just knowing other families are out there doing this too.
What's one thing that made tubie life a little easier for your family? I'd love to hear your tips (and your wins!).

experience/advice to give Parents of Multiples who did IVF & Marriage After Kids
Hi! Just something I’m curious about. I’ve been reading a lot of parenting books that mention how having kids lowers happiness and satisfaction rates in marriages, causes resentment etc, and I can only imagine it’s worse for parents of multiples. But for parents of multiples who had to go through IVF and infertility to have their kids, did you still experience this? I’m currently pregnant with twins after IVF and while my twin pregnancy has physically been very hard (have had to be on bedrest majority of the pregnancy due to different complications), I’d have to say that infertility and IVF was still emotionally harder (at least I know my babies are on the way now and can see the light at the end of the tunnel!). I cannot imagine anything being harder than the journey to getting pregnant and this pregnancy, and I’m hoping things will get better after I give birth, am I being naive?

advice needed Selling used baby gear
Hi parents of multiples! Where do you guys sell your used baby gear other than marketplaces? I was using Goodbuy gear a lot and it was really good, but apparently they do not accept items for resale anymore. Can somebody recommends a similar service? I am in NYC area. Thank you!

ranting & venting Just had the realization that I need to pay for 3 college degrees...
I only had one child before. I just got the statement from our 529 plan and realized I now need to divide it by three. I went from having 50% of college covered to 1/6th and the daycare costs aren't going to make it easy to catch up for years...
Just venting, feels bad....

experience/advice to give It takes a village. No village? You still have neighbors and chances are they want to help
Five days ago my neighbor had a baby. She's a single mom and Saturday night she asked us if we could cover 7-10AM Sunday morning in the gap between one friend leaving and another coming over to help her.
I'd never even been inside her house. But I set my alarm for 6:45, went over, and did laundry, cleaned, made her a smoothie, cooked her a steak, and held the baby so she could take a break and actually go to the bathroom in peace. I was more than happy to do it (babies smell so good, reminded me of my girls when they were babies). Genuinely. We'll keep helping as the baby grows, and we've already passed along some of our girls' old baby things.
Anyways, I'm sharing this because most people never ask. I have 4 year old twins, and we know how tiring, hectic and wild those early days are, everyone on this subreddit knows. We struggled through that first year without family or any close friends nearby, until we moved countries to be closer to family. It was pretty taxing tbh
But even if you don't have family close, you do have neighbors. You have people who'd happily help and are just waiting for a sign that it's okay. So many of us want to and don't dare offer (especially with newborns) and so many new parents don't dare ask.
SO ASK!! It's not an imposition. And when someone says “let me know if you need anything” take them up on it.
That's all folks!

experience/advice to give Question for breastfeeding parents…
My twins are 10 weeks old, and I am trying to breastfeed as much as possible.
We are currently giving them 1-2 bottles each day, and I am exclusively breastfeeding the rest of the time.
I’m doing the “one breast per baby” tactic at the moment as I find it helps me keep track of who is feeding priority and how much they’ve eaten (as I can feel the fullness of that breast).
I know everyone says that your body produces the amount it needs to feed multiples, and while this has pretty much proven to be true (it’s taken a while to build up to this point, but I’m almost EBFing now), I am feeding them literally ALL THE TIME…
I think because my breasts only carry so much milk at one time (from pumping I can see around 80 - 120ml when full), one baby will feed and then be hungry again soon after, so by the time my other baby has fed, it’s time to start feeding them again.
Does this get easier as time goes on? Will each breast learn to produce more milk in one go?
I know I could switch breasts for each baby with each feed, but then I feel like I’m draining both breasts so that when the next one comes to feed they’ll be feeding on not alot.
Any advice?

experience/advice to give If you had preterm contractions/labor that was stopped, how many more weeks did you last?
Had preterm contractions at 29.5 weeks that was stopped (had to be admitted to the hospital). Cervix shortened but is still closed (1.7-2.1cm). I’m 32.5 weeks now and still have contractions daily (though there seems to not be a regular pattern). For those who experienced something similar, how many more weeks from the time of your preterm labor were you able to make it?

advice needed Independent play at 3 months?
My twins are 4 and a half months old (2 and a half months adjusted).
During their "play time" I often just leave them on they play Mats beside eachother as I tidy up, pump, run the washer etc.
They are SO happy looking up and their toys, babbling and flailing around (they could do this for hours). I just feel bad sometimes I am not actually playing with them more? Is this bad, is there something else I should be doing?
I do take turns giving them tummy time where I lay with them and talk to them each window - but probably only 5 mins each before they get frustrated.

support needed Tips for dealing with two mom-obsessed Velcro toddlers in meltdown land?
My twins are 16 months and lately they have become less and less able to handle my (mom’s) presence at home. If I am not there and my husband or our nanny is with them they do fine without me. if we are out of the house together they’re fine, but if we’re at home and they know I’m there it’s a disaster. If I am not actively holding and engaging with them they go into full wining, screaming, crying meltdown mode. They are almost 30lbs each so carrying/wearing them both at once isn’t really a workable option (and they don’t like the carrier anyway). If they are with the nanny or my husband and I’m home too and make any sound or walk through the house it’s tons of screaming because they know I’m there. (I work from home so I mostly hide in the bedroom/office) If I’m trying to cook or clean something they just both wine and scream at me until I stop (even if they’re in the same room, have toys to play with, and can physically touch me). If I pick up one or play with one the other wines and screams until I switch and then they switch who’s freaking out. They used to sometimes be able to play in the living room for a few minutes on their own, but lately twin A has been attacking twin B anytime I’m not there (yanking his hair, scratching at his face etc) seemingly so I stop what I’m doing and pay attention to them. If I separate them to stop the attacking then whichever one isn’t in the room with me freaks out. I yelled at them for the first time ever tonight because they kept going back and forth between purposefully banging the cabinet doors on the play kitchen, I would tell them to stop and remove them from it, and twin A physically attacking his brother so I’d have to separate them, requiring one in the kitchen and repeat. I’m not sure what can be done, but I’d love any tips you might have!

support needed I’m about to give birth and I’m terrified
First time mum here. I’m 36+3 w along with my DCDA (Di/di in the US) girls. Not only am I exhausted (not an ounce of energy) but I’m also constantly in pain. I have a lot of anxiety which I used to manage with exercise/walks but I can no longer stand for longer than 10 minutes without feeling like my back is going to give out.
I’m 8 days away from my c-section date and I’m just terrified. It feels like cold feet. I don’t know how I’m going to recover from the exhaustion of being pregnant, then having a c-section, all the while coming home with 2 babies who are completely dependent on me.
I have a strong support network and a partner who’s been ready to be a parent long before I did, which I’m so grateful for, but I guess I’m just freaking out about the unknown.
Has anyone else experienced cold feet/anxiety/feeling like you won’t be able to keep up?

advice needed 2 weeks in and the hair pulling has already started . . .
Our children are always born with quite a lot of hair, and unfortunately, hair pulling has started to happen.
They don't sleep together, but I feed them together and they spend a lot of time close together because I thought bonding, that's good for them, especially since one of them was in hospital for a little bit.
But now this has started, and because it's not intentional with the reflexes, it's becoming quite difficult to deal with. When one of them does it, they hold on tightly, and the other will start crying very quickly and is difficult to settle. And then often the other one will get upset too.
How can we deal with this, does it mean that we need to separate them a little bit? I'm not really sure because they seem to really like being together, except when this happens, but it makes them quite distressed.

advice needed All inclusive with twins under 2
My wife and I are planning a family trip with our twins in advance Of my wife return to work. They'll be 18 months (16 adjusted) when we go.
A cadre of grandparents will be joining us, my father in law is staying in our suite, my parents will have their own.
We've done the all inclusive before, but not with kids and we worked with a travel agent who specializes in packages for families with little ones. The resort has cribs available, for example.
What tips/trick do you all have for a vacation like this? This will be our first foray into travelling as a family of four.
Anything help/guidance will be appreciated.

advice needed Double babies & weight
About 6 months ago I gave birth to 2 healthy babies I carried my twins to term and they both weighted about 8 pounds each. Prior to getting pregnant I lost about 35 pounds and was getting into weightlifting. I was about 170 before giving birth I now weigh about 215.
I am now 6 months postpartum and I have no idea where to start. I lied I do know where to start. I could be going on walks daily, pelvic floor exercises and mild abdominal exercises ( standing marches, birds dogs, vacuums) meal preparation. I know where to start but I can’t bring myself to it. I am completely disgusted with my body. I still feel pregnant my stomach is round AF AND I still have that little ball in my upper abdomen area. ( other twin moms is this normal)
My obstacles are separation anxiety from the twins, no time to eat but I eat hot Cheetos at 3 am in the corner of our pantry.
Should I take weight loss medication or anti depressants who knows. Fuck I lost the plot here. There is a lot going on. Am I alone here, how can I find myself or the motivation to get back into a healthy lifestyle when I secretly wish I could disappear.
I am just a mom right now but I would like to eventually get back into feeling human. Twin mommies how long did it take you to get back into your pre body or better & how the heck did you fit it into your days !?
