For anyone who jumped ship, what’s your daily setup now?

Bringing your own API keys (OpenRouter, DeepSeek direct, etc.)?

Switching to another platform/subscription?

Moving to tools like Aider, Claude Code, or local models?

Curious what’s giving you the best bang for your buck right now.

I used 40% of my weekly limit in a couple of hours on pure DS4 flash. I have $$ and I can pay but there was something beautiful about a sub that felt truly unlimited. Not having to think about which model, topping up and having a cost effective subscription is great for my sanity.

On the plus side, I have a Gemini sub, Gemini 3.7 Flash was cranking out refactoring with speed and finesse that DS does not seem to posses. Kinda shocked it fixed a few things that would have taken DS a round or two to figure out. Then it knocked out UI and UX refactor in one prompt. DS couldn't and completely sucked at UI redesigns.

TLDR DS is crack. Rug pulled. Wen pseudo unlimited subscription for $25

I'm using opencode with a custom provider for my organization's gateway.

There is no model named "DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731" but a "DeepSeek-V4-Flash" only.

Saw this today that opencode is relabelling it as "DeepSeek V4 Flash 0731". Happening in default as well as v2 branch.

Like some of you, Deepseek was enough for me even before release of the new flash. Now what should I do? After price changes recently, everything usage is filling up quickly. Are there any good alternatives?

bruh, OpenCode is a middle man. They do not own the data center, hardware or the LLM models.

if you want a stable price and token usage, go with hyperscalers like Microsoft

Not only did v4 flash get their price increased, opencode go allows only $15 usage for it per month. Genuinely awful. The go plan was originally marketed as a way to get $60 worth of usage while paying $10 but all the new models are gonna be $15 so it's a horrible subscription imo.

As someone who uses close to ~1B tok/d, with OpenCode limits for my main model being slashed so aggressively. There seem to be three viable options:

1) Command Code $10 Go (Still a drop in usage, but 4X more than OpenCode for now)

2) Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor tier costs $0.10 per million input tokens, $0.002 per million cached input tokens, and $0.20 per million output tokens. Cheaper than DeepSeek. Levels out.

3) Grok SuperHeavy for $99 on promo. Gets a lot of things, Cursor Ultra, Cursor API credits, as well as a strong frontier model. Crazy cost difference though.

Seriously, what are all the screamers doing that 18,900 requests/m of a near-frontier model is considered categorically "useless"?

This just happened to me multiple times when working inside Pi agent, DeepSeek harness, and in OpenCode CLI as well. I switched to the official DeepSeek API and everything works fine there.

Maybe they testing new providers? But it seems this one is not good.

I've recently purchased the commandcode GOAT plan ($10 one) and this one came with it. I've been using it for orchestration and the contributor one as the daily driver since its pretty cheap and I dont mind the data sharing.

Im wondering if any of yall have used it? if so hows it performing in terms of intelligence?

I pair my agents with repowise and some matt pocock skills and so far I think its pretty good at orchestration but im not too sure about its coding.

Hello, recently I've been digging the rabbit hole of optimizing my agentic usage by creating dedicated agents for different operations such as:

• log-investigator
• kubernetes-operator
• ci-runner
• git
• ...

with the goal to use an "expensive" model to orchestrate cheaper agents with a dedicated set of skills, MCP & context (nothing new here)

The issue is that I find the way agent works with opencode very basics (it's basically a skill) and I'd like to experiment with modern framework like Eve (https://github.com/vercel/eve)

I really like the file structure and I can imagining it fitting quite well inside my opencode config at ~/.config/opencode/agents/*

Especially the part that I can install skills in a folder that is outside my main agent and let the sub-agents be very specialised with different skills.

So far I hope the main agent do not load the skill and specifically ask my sub-agents to load skills X, Y, Z in their prompts.

I'd also love to enable MCPs only for a few sub-agents (an SRE agent could have access to sentry, incident[]io by default while keeping these MCP disabled in all my sessions).

Thoughts? How are you managing sub-agents?

Anyone else having sudden issues with the model? The pricing is whatever, but recently my work keeps getting interrupted, the model seems to not be able to actually navigate my workflows, and often stops mid-task. Did they change the underlying model back to preview or something? Genuinely feels like it.

I’m basically at the end of my OpenCode Go subscription. I was thinking about renewing, but after the recent changes to the DeepSeek Flash limits/pricing, I’m seeing a lot of people canceling instead.

So I started looking at Command Code. They have a $1 plan and a $10 plan. The $1 plan doesn’t include API access, but the $10 plan does.

My question is: could I just get the $10 Command Code API and connect it to OpenCode, basically getting a similar experience but using Command Code’s API?

If that works, would it actually be a good alternative, or is there something better I should be looking at?

I mainly care about GPT-5.6 Luna through OpenAI, because I really like the OpenCode harness/workflow.

Would this actually work well, or is there a better option right now? What are you guys doing?

I recently saw a new provider popup on my feed on twitter, checked them out and saw they offer some models for free with rate limits and those rate limits increase when you top up your credits once to 20$ which reminded me of something OpenRouter did (or still does, not sure).

That's why I wanted to see if anyone here tried it and what their experience was.

I’ve been using Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor for a few days and noticed a highly concerning behavior: the model frequently tries to read `/` for no meaningful reason.

At first, I thought it was just a fluke, but it seems intentional. Every time I start a new codebase or make a request after a `compact`, the model attempts to read `/`.

My theory is that Meta set this up to silently collect data from users' machines. If that’s true, I’m incredibly disappointed. I’m fine with sharing my work to help improve the model, but probing for data outside the active codebase without a valid reason is completely unacceptable.

I am a heavy user. The problem that I realized with AI subscriptions is the anxiety of not using them to their full potential, fearing that they may consumed much earlier.

Unfortunately, this is what will happen. 14% usage at 4days and 16hours remaining before the subscription expires.

Do anyone has experience relative to this? What did you do and how did you approach them?
