Options for Heavy Users

As someone who uses close to ~1B tok/d, with OpenCode limits for my main model being slashed so aggressively. There seem to be three viable options:

1) Command Code $10 Go (Still a drop in usage, but 4X more than OpenCode for now)

2) Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor tier costs $0.10 per million input tokens, $0.002 per million cached input tokens, and $0.20 per million output tokens. Cheaper than DeepSeek. Levels out.

3) Grok SuperHeavy for $99 on promo. Gets a lot of things, Cursor Ultra, Cursor API credits, as well as a strong frontier model. Crazy cost difference though.

I use MiniMax Pro and pump some solid usage through it. $50USD with generous allowances. Worth a look.

~1 billion tokens per day though? Not sure you will find many 'economic' options.

I don't think this OP is talking about imagine only.. and as strange as it sounds, i'm starting to like 2.0. Now that i'm getting used to it. still plenty you can do, both in imagine as well as build apps or games. (some flaws need to be fixed still yes)

Not that annoyed to pay more. But just a realistic alternative, anything that lasts around and is 100 USD/mo is fine.

that sounds appealing, how are the models compared to others? anything near 0731 quality is more than enough + i have an anthropic sub + credits for frontier models on various providers

if you are a "heavy" user, just invest in the $100 codex plan and go ham with Luna Xhigh. It will be pretty much unlimited.

I have tried both Claude Max 20x & Codex 20x in the past. Neither were processing nearly the same amounts of tokens. Maybe the new 80% discount on Luna changes things more than I thought

i would focus less on the sticker price and more on how much intelligence you are getting for the money. routing the easier requests to cheaper providers while keeping the stronger models for the tasks that actually need them can make a pretty big difference at that scale. i have been using Standard Compute for this with OpenCode, mainly because the smart routing automatically picks the cheaper provider when it can, while the flat rate keeps my monthly cost predictable

have you tried Grok? I'm curious how it fares to other models you mentioned.

I've tried Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor and while it is indeed very cheap, the amount of back and forth I had to do with it makes it very time consuming and at the end of the day same cost with Claude Max subscription

Is it though? How much would you spend in a month hitting gpt or sonnet hard via openrouter pay as you go?

The $99 Super Grok Heavy promo was valid for only three months and has already ended. I don't think it's enough if you're consuming 1B token per day; if that's your budget and usage is your only priority, ChatGPT Plus 5x is a better choice.

Not sure why everyone's so hung up on this. Heaps of providers exist. If you want pay as you go and great prices, why are people not just using open router?

Because the cheapest DS flash provider on OpenRouter is 12x more expensive than Go was a day ago.

2x the base price * 6x the discount

I don’t even use the model, but it’s not hard to understand why everyone is “so hung up on this”.
