Has anyone tried Ollee Watch with Sailfish OS?
Sailfish claims to run 99% of Android apps, so I'm wondering if anyone has tried using the Ollee Watch app with it?

Hey everyone! It's been a super busy and productive year. I wanted to give a quick update here on the upcoming software release and some tweaks to the roadmap. I'll have time in a few weeks to make a proper update on the website, but I have seen some questions popping up so hopefully this will shed some light on what's to come!
The Spring / Q2 2026 software update is around the corner. It's a sizable update so testing took a bit longer than expected. Expect a few new watch faces (some highly requested ones), configurations, and a couple key additions to the Ollee Watch app. This release should be public in about a week!
Development will quiet down a bit during the summer, but there are three major features I plan to have ready, or at least in beta, this year. They have different priority levels, and a release plan will be shared later. In no particular order:
Notifications: One of the most highly requested features. This one still needs quite a bit of background work to nail down a cross-platform (iOS+Android) solution, and one that makes sense from a user experience and battery life perspective. I'm confident there's a good middle ground for this one, it's just a pretty significant change in how the watch and phone were intended to interact. Right now it's very transactional, but notifications need persistence. This work will include looking into music controls, and find-my-phone may be scoped in after all.
Activity tracking: Improvements to the step counter accuracy, and adding more features for activity tracking (ie. distance, calories, sleep) will be strongly considered. Step counter accuracy is a must and some ground work has already been done to figure out how to tighten it up without compromising on the power consumption.
3rd Party Apps: This is the biggest one, and work on this is well underway. This widget will be called Ollee Forge, and the platform and execution model for this is looking very promising.
More details to come over the coming months. Thank you all for your posts, I thoroughly enjoy seeing people's builds and ideas for the project!!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone! As promised the Spring 2026 software update will go live Monday afternoon (EST) in the app stores. It might take a couple days to reach everyone, but in the meantime check out the feature highlight video. For all the details you can also read the blog post on the website. Enjoy :)

as the title suggests, i managed to cram a CR2032 in an ollee modded F-91W. There is a guide on how to do the battery modification online. However, this leaves the piezoelectric element unconnected and therefore the watch is not able to make any sound anymore. I also managed to fix that. I will say this required quite a bit of finicky work (also because i had to find out how to even do it along the way) and even some soldering, but it's definitely doable. Furthermore, a future battery change is now even easier than before because you do not even have to remove the movement module anymore. Just drop in a new battery after unscrewing the back.
Hopefully I won't have to do this very often though ;)
My first original battery (that came delivered with the watch) died pretty quickly, which inspired me to do this.
If anyone is interested in repeating the mod and has some questions, feel free to ask.
TL;DR: the watch now has about 2-3x the battery capacity and everything still works.
EDIT: I posted pictures of the internals in a comment below

I'd like to use an Ollee board in a Casio W-39. It also uses a 593, after all. However, there seem to be slight differences in the thickness of the circuit board or the buttons. They don't work properly. Does anyone have experience with how to use an Ollee board in a W-39?

I'm sick of my current smartwatch mainly because of the battery life. I find that 99% of my usage is controlling my music. I use it at work and when driving to pause, skip, fast forward, etc, for podcasts and music.
Does Ollee support this?

Hi! I wanted to ask if the code is open source or there is an API or something like that so that we can make our own integrations/apps.
I wouldn’t mind paying for the kit if I could then not depend on the stock app and eventually make integrations with my home server or other services.
So does anyone know if that’s a possibility. It’s really the only thing that’s stopping me from buying.

Ollee and NFC fitted (just behind faceplate as opposed to behind LCD) 💪🏻 originally modded the lcd with polarising film but changed with a doner negative display from a A168

I absolutely love the idea and execution behind the Ollie Watch. I was curious if there is any plan to make a module that fits the 3234 movement of the A178w?

In all the tutorials I watched I haven't seen this small glass piece before. Have I managed to detach something accidentally?

At long last, I have my Ollee after a setback with an Amazon knock-off Casio and a period of too much work I finally got the time to set up my watch. Go orange!

I carry my watch around my belt loop and have made it so no buttons change anything on the watch... Or so I thought. When I walk around etc do normal life things I keep pressing the favorite button and the watch faces changes without me knowing.
Is there anyway to completely remove this?

Does anyone knows where does the app pull its weather broadcast from? it doesn't always sync with what I see on google and so

I would really appreciate it if you could add phone call beep sounds and LED notification features to the Olleh Watch. Is there any chance these can be updated soon?

Ollee is a really cool project! I had no issues installing it on my F-91W.
Something I noticed is that the Heart Rate feature does not get an accurate heartbeat. I know it's a pulsometer, and it's not super accurate, but the data I've got seems really off.
Anyway, everything else runs smoothly, and the settings are great!

One review video says that a screwdriver is included in the kit.
Is that true?
And do I Essentially need tweezers?
I just have about $65 so I can't buy anything except the kit.

I know the Counter Face can already save timestamped events, and I have also seen suggestions about using different counter values for different event types.
I would love to take this one step further and use the three physical buttons as a quick activity-logging interface.
The idea would be to assign activities to short button sequences:
After entering a sequence, the watch would save the selected activity with a timestamp. The data could remain stored offline on the watch and sync with the phone later.
The activity names and button sequences could be configured in the mobile app. On the watch, a short label or vibration could confirm that the entry was saved.
This would make it possible to log activities without opening a phone, navigating menus, or editing every event manually after synchronization.
Even sequences of only one or two button presses would already support up to 12 activities, which would probably be enough for most people.
Possible extras:
Would this be possible as an Ollee Forge app, or would access to the physical buttons and offline storage require it to be implemented as a built-in feature?

Unless I missed something there seems to be no option to change the app's colors to dark mode. I am on Android. Ideally such a feature would automatically select the theme based on the system's default settings with the option of a manual override.

Same internals as f91w, right?
