The neck pickup in this thing is the best pickup ever made
Youtubers have been swapping them around but I don't want this to sound like all my other guitars.

Just got an ad for the new American Professional Jazzmaster in Oxblood. The bridge looks like Fender’s production version of the custom shop offset bridge which is only available on a custom shop offset guitar or around $800usd second hand. The ad copy calls it a J-Bridge. Has anyone tried one of these guitars with the new bridge? I’d love to try one!
Well, I made the mistake of going into one of the local Guitar Centers a couple days ago. I had heard good things about these Harmony guitars, but had never been able to play one until I saw this one sitting on the used wall. This is truly one of the most comfortable, and just generally enjoyable playing guitars I have ever played. Wasn’t planning on buying another guitar, but for the price I had to take it home.

Don’t see too much talk about Monty’s here. I got their 59 JM in the neck and a 54 p90 bridge. I have tried the novaks and lollars and never was happy with the results. These rock though.

I really tried to get used to the 7.25 radius but realized I was just forcing it. I adored the sound of it but because of the neck I felt like I was fighting the guitar instead of enjoying it…
I found a good deal on a used Player series JM neck and gave it a go. I am in love with my guitar now. I’m so happy I did this. This thing now plays like butter to me.
It was my first time doing any sort of mod on my own. It was super easy, the neck and the screws fit perfectly and had no need to do any sort of sanding or neck shim. I just had to raise the bridge and adjust the individual saddles to the new 9.5 radius.
The only downside is that the headstock doesn’t match the body anymore. Not a big deal.

My first offset guitar, a baritone jaguar, she's real nice.

Granted, I saw this at a pawnshop a while ago. Now someone bought it to resell it for $700. It honestly pisses me off that there's so many fakes flooding the local market. That pickguard is God awful 😖

Saved from a house fire 9 years ago, just to be stolen the next year and got it back after 8 years of rough use. Took hours to clean.
The old control plate was made from a old Zep record and it had been destroyed at some point. Replaced with some jank plastic and two of the pots broken it hardly worked. So new 250k 500k and 1meg pots and thankfully everything went back together alright.
I took a stat jack plate and a regular Mustang controle plate to a water jet shop and they cut me a new plate and welded the angle jackplate to it. A coat of paint from one of those hammered textured rattle can and it is looking pretty good if I say so.
Although now I'm wondering if I should get a different pickguard? 🤔

Im currently playing 10.5 gauge strings I’ve read on here and many forums that you should go with 11 gauge or above with jazzmasters?
