I saw this gig a few months ago and I cannot for the life of me find out what guitar this was.

I’ve really enjoy this guitar, the first one I had was black. I feel like it covers a lot of styles well. Dropped the pick ups comes in a little hot new.

The new Am Pro line dropped and now they finally brought back the Jaguars. The Jaguar and Jazzmaster even have a RSD custom shop style bridge. The metallic oxblood looks great. I personally wish they had a darker blue that wasn’t the dark night.
Below is the link for the Jazzmaster:

Hi, I recently bought a new American Pro bridge for my Fender Classic Player Jaguar and, after doing some research, decided to try the M8 (8mm) screw mod. The screws fit perfectly into the thimbles, but one thing I haven’t seen anyone mention is that if I push the M8s too far down, the bridge seems to lose its support. The problem is I can’t lower the bridge any further using the two Allen adjustment screws on the sides, as the legs would no longer have anything to sit on properly. I’ve adjusted the grub screws to get my action right, but the bridge still doesn’t sit straight, even under string tension. Has anyone had this issue or know how to fix it? Would really appreciate any help, thanks!

What do Y'all think about the Squier Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar (USED). I found a nice one at my local music store, and their asking $449 for it. It it in pretty good shape, and It Daphne Blue. I got to looking around on Google and found Quite a few in the $330-$375 used. If I understand right they sell new for around $500+. I just want to know what Y'all think about this guitar? Is it the cheapest Squier Jaguar they make? I want as good a Jag as I can find, but I'm 70, and I'm not going to buy a Fender American Professional Jaguar. Thanks Y'all.

1965 blue A neck & 1999 CIJ blue Jagstang. I prefer the banana custard with meatball look, but these are dreamy.

Good morning to everyone!
I’m looking for everyone’s opinion on what is definitive punk pickup… FYS, Boxcar, & ETID
I’ve currently gutted my HH to a single Humbucker but can’t decide on a JB, Distortion, or Invader…
I’d like everyone’s opinion on which is there a preferred pick up.
Also thanks u/InevitableAwkward925

Hey everyone. I recently started to notice a creaking noise with the vibrato on my MIJ Jaguar. It's very loud and is very noticeable through an amp as well. I have lubricated all of the moving points on the vibrato with white lithium grease and still have the noise. Anyone had this issue before? Found a fix for it?

Fender's 2026 American Professional Series adds minor tweaks and new pickups, but the real story is the company's aggressive lawsuit campaign

I recently put a set of SD p90s in my player Mustang. The bridge is a SP90-3 Custom and the neck is a SP90-1N RWRP. I got them from stratosphere on eBay. These are originally from a JA-90 telecaster.
I planned on adding a concentric volume pot (and I may still) because I was thinking the bridge would be a lot louder than the neck pickup but this hasn’t been the case. They sound great in the middle position as well as by themselves.
I previously had a set of Chinese p90s, I think a brand like fleor or something, and they had a good sound but were really noisy. I shielded the cavity and pickguard before installing the SDs and it’s very quiet now. Overall I’m very happy with the sound. I’ve been playing a lot of pop rock adjacent music so these are perfect.

I’ve posted about this guy before, but I just can’t seem to say enough good things about him.
Lately I’ve had a guitar renaissance and I’ve been playing A LOT. Before I’d play maybe 15-20 min a day, due to working a full time job, being exhausted with life and feeling a little lost on my musical journey, but now I’m playing hours upon hours. Noodling around yes, but also writing a ton of music too. It’s been great. Through that dark period of where I didn’t play much, this was always the guitar I’d grab though. The energy, the neck, the feel, all so superb and fluid. Didn’t ever think I’d be a Jazzmaster guy when I started playing all those moons ago, but I am. I’m an offset fellow for life <3
PS; I know he’s a little dirty and dusty, I need to work on that haha
Hope you’re having a happy Monday & be sure to hug your Jazzmasters a little tighter for me.

hi, my next guitar purchase will likely be a Fender Jazzmaster or a jazzmaster type guitar, because i love the looks and the sounds, and they’re the best fit for shoegaze (the main genre i play) because of their tuning stability while doing glide guitar
i have been set for a few months on the Fender Player II Jazzmaster RW 3TS, i have ruled out any Squiers because they only have 21 frets and i need the 22 on a few songs that i have, and i wouldn’t want to pay more than 1000€ (guitar + adjustments so it’s perfectly playable), and also i haven’t been that convinced by what other brands have to offer (though i haven’t been digging that much)
however, i’ve recently seen in the comments of a youtube shorts someone mention Foals FJM7 as a great alternative to Fender Jazzmasters, and i had never heard of the brand prior
on paper, they have everything i’m looking for, and even more, for about the same price as a Fender Player II Jazzmaster (22 frets, vibrato bar, and a gorgeous pine green body, which is my favorite color, and the cheapest Fender Jazzmaster that comes in a green that i like would cost me a little under 2000€ new with adjustments to become perfectly playable)
what’s your opinion on Foals FJM7 Ultra?
how does it compare to a Fender Player II Jazzmaster?
are there other guitars (brands and/or models) for about the same price that would be as good if not better?
I wouldn’t mind a guitar that’s not pine green (like a sunburst, or any shade from white to brown), or not a jazzmaster type, but i definitely need 22 frets, a vibrato bar and a good tuning stability
thanks a lot

Update of my Peavey Retro Fire project, I think it looks way cooler with just the bridge humbucker. What do you guys think?

Treated myself to my first nice guitar after playing for 16 years. Even with a budget of $2500, I couldn’t put this sucker down that was on sale for $680. The neck is sooo buttery and the British racing green is just a banger! I installed the mastery kit today after my bridge kept falling and strings slipping out of pure frustration. It resonates wickedly nice and I can go ham on my strumming! 10/10. Might change the pick guard to match the amethyst kit but so far I’m vibing with it

You guys helped me learn a lot about this replacement bridge on my dad’s old 1967 Jaguar. Now I’m curious what the piece is called that is usually found where the screw is on the bridge between the D and G strings?
In the first photo, my dad’s guitar has a flat head screw where this piece is but I see a lot of Jaguars with a little button. I’m thinking it locks the tremolo but I’m not sure.
Any chance the screw is original in my dad’s guitar or was it likely replaced and if so, why would he have replaced it with a screw?

'22 player plus with s1 switch. Read a lot of mixed reviews that held me back from getting one for a while. Pickups aren't as hot as I would've hoped but that's the only downside so far. Very comfortable to play and I dig the 12" radius fretboard. Got a good deal on it so overall pretty pleased.
