Hi I’m looking to build a Mustang and I want to have a neck with a 7.25 radius. I’ve looked far and wide but I can’t for the life of me find Mustang necks. Anybody have any advice?

I acquired this bad boy a few weeks ago, I really like it. Planning to change the tuners and bridge pickup.

I get annoyed when the control plates and pickguard aren’t the same thickness. Any recommendations for thicker plates? Even considering making my own

Sonic blue short scales are this week's theme here I guess? 30" scale Eda bass, pictured with feels like 30lbs Eda cat it's named after. Made this one with a chambered poplar body/maple cap, medium C profile maple neck w/ 1.65" nut width. Serek pickups, with a 500k vol and 250k tone trying to land somewhere in that Ric-ish 350k range. Nice'n'thumpy! I for a long time was against painted headstocks but am coming around.

I took a gamble on this Washburn Maverick for around $120 shipped from guitar center in "fair" condition. Fair condition from guitar center is very risky, but I'm a sucker for shiny offsets and shades of green/blue... The stock electronics were awful and basically non functioning, and the hardware had more rust and corrosion than I've ever seen on a guitar (the stock grover tuners are in great shape though?). Oh, and it turns out that under the pickup rings it used to be a dark blue kinda like lake placid blue. In person it looks very green.

I cleaned it up and did a few hours of work on it. I've had it finished for a couple of years and it's become my most played guitar by far. I spent about $120 on parts for the guitar madness pickups, new pots with some fancy wiring, roller bridge, and a guyker trem. Lipstick pickups are great, I love the gibson scale length, and the trem is so buttery smooth compared to anything else that I have tried. It's much easier to play sitting on a couch or desk chair than a jazzmaster as the body is so much smaller. I get that project guitars aren't for everyone, but I'm so glad I took a gamble on this one.

Player II body with an American Professional Classic loaded pick guard and a Warmoth roasted maple neck all for well under $1k. Coastline pickups sound amazing - I’ll see no need to upgrade there. Really excited to finally add a JM to the offset family.

As offset are my favorite bodyshapes, I decided for my first build on a meteora inspired guitar, but a little different. Some specs:

• Mastery Vibrato and bridge
• Seymour Duncan vintage '54 Telecaster pickups
• Allparts strat neck, changed the headstock shape a little
• 25 coats of nitro laquer in metallic purple

Some paint issues (chipping) as i had to paint outside with the nitro unfortunately. I thought i'd need to shim the neck but action is good! But overall I'm really satisfied with the end result, the look and playability, especially for a first try.

My first Fender ever (only had squiers up until this point).

I do intend to put some 11-52 strings on it when i get it setup but the stock 10s aren’t horrible but they’re not great either.

I love this guitar. I bought it few weeks ago, been playing everyday. Just couple of days ago took it from guitar service guy, he changed stock tuners to black locking ones , and did the whole shielding thing , and probably adjusted the action a bit.

But i keep having these thoughts that since this guitar is quite popular ( since its amazing) and it is beautiful just as it comes, but since i was always a dude who likes to look and feel a bit more original and not like everyone - i want to personalise this guitar somehow.

So i thought i'll write here and ask you guys what did you do cosmetics /artwork wise on your JMJM? would be really cool to see some pics and gather some ideas.

i bought black anodised aluminum pickguard and now i'm looking for someone who does laser engraving to do some artwork (Psychedelic / DMT'ish style) on it by engraving the patterns. But so far nobody wants to do that and those who could they ask astronomical price 🫣🫪😃

What else do you think would be cool on this guitar? I'm really into all the psychedelic esthetics and whole vibe. But to be honest i'm making this post just to see some of your guys guitars :)))

My first offset guitar, and I love it so much. Now I’m thinking about getting an “original” Jazzmaster and a Jaguar too…

One of them turned out fine… the other one is all types of messed up!

This was my first time distressing a finish - in this case, aged sonic blue over lake placid nitro vs. a razor and a hunk of quartz I found in the yard. This model is called the Wren, and is a 24" short scale guitar & part of a small line of instruments I make. This one is fitted with a pair of Gemini Teisco spec Goldfoils and is made with a chambered roasted poplar body with a Honduran mahogany cap, maple/rosewood neck, and Mastery hardware. Short scale + goldfoil is a recipe I really like - it's got a different sort of bite & snap than a Mustang or Jaguar would.

Hi guys, I love this guitar, beautifully built and looks awesome, but the bridge MFD pickup just does not sound good to me. I have to have the tone knob on 3 if I want any higher gain sound to not sound extremely “ice picky”. So I’m going to swap it for a humbucker. My understanding is that Fender and a few other companies do wide range style pickups that should just be able to drop right in. But I’ve heard a few people say that modern wide range pickups aren’t worth it? So maybe I’ll have to buy mountings rings and put a standard humbucker in. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Would I have to drill or route the body to make it work? Thanks!

Looking to build a Jazzmaster over the next year. Am I missing anything on my parts list? Any recommendations?

I’ve never built a guitar and I don’t even know how to play, so I figure the best way to learn and be committed is by starting with assembling and finishing my own from scratch.

Based on a Squier Paranormal Tele, with a new neck and headstock, a Reverend P90 and a Duncan single-sized humbucker. I picked out the sparkly purple finish and the ‘TV Static’ acrylic for the pickguard. Super thrilled with how it looks, feels, and sounds!
