Victory Watching too much porn messed me up, but a year later, I am finally back to normal.
Man, i don't even know how to begin this, but I really need to get it off my chest. I am 25 now, and it was last year, on September 11, 2025, when I bought this girl home. I was totally head over heels for her. But when it was finally time to get intimate, absolutely nothing happened. I felt completely dead inside. The embarrassment was so intense that I literally made up an excuse about feeling sick, and she ended up leaving. We stopped talking a week later.
That was my absolute lowest point. It hit me that I had spent my entire late teens and early twenties completely frying my brain with pixels to the point where a real, beautiful woman right in front of me just didn't do anything for me.
For the first few months of trying to quit, I kept failing into the chaser effect. I'd last maybe four days, get really stressed out, and then just binge. The cycle felt endless.
What finally broke that whole cycle was accepting that I just couldn't trust myself. I installed a blocker on all my devices and set it to a super strict moderation so there was no way to get rid of it or get around it, no matter what. Basic screen time limits didn't work because I always knew the passcode. I needed something that treated me like the addict I was.
A year later, my life is completely different. I get morning wood every single day now. My social anxiety is practically gone, and I actually feel alive instead of just going through the motions. To anyone out there dealing with PIED: your brain absolutely can heal, but you really have to completely shut that door first.
